2011-02-09T11:27:00.000-08:00

As a English fan, I was highly dissapointed by our peformance at the World Cup and our peformance at Monternagro afterwards where we got a unexpected draw. We are playing against Denmark tonight, I hope we can make our mark in Denmark, you see what I did there?

The SuperBowl Ads.

2011-02-08T09:38:00.000-08:00

As a British citizen I dont really care much about who wins or loses the SuperBowl, or just the SuperBowl in general. Any British person who trys to persuade you that they hate 'Football' and love 'American Football' is just trying to stand out from the crowd, so dont believe them. But what I care about is the whacky ads that they come up with. Here are some of the Ads they come up with, voice your opinions on if you think they are Good or Lame.

Best League In The World.

2011-02-08T08:08:00.000-08:00

This is why the premier leaugue is the best league in the world. Here we have the best goals in the Premier League last season, 2009-2010. Its good to see my team get a few goals in the video (Aston Villa). Lets see if this season can produce better goals, talking of which:

Back To The Future.

2011-02-07T04:57:00.000-08:00

Against my better wills, I have finally been persuaded to do a post on Halo Reach. All of you fat Master Chief lovers might want to get back to shagging your Halo disc. I could start with blatant flaws such as how 100 bullets into your opponent wont kill them but one melee will. Also how the futuristic armour seems to have the powers of a superman suit. One push of the 'A' or 'X' button makes you jump halfway across the map as if you have super springs on your heels. This game is set in the future, likely. Suitable for all you geeks who wear Spartan helmets and have a replica gun set thinking you are 'cool'.

Super Torres?

2011-02-06T12:42:00.000-08:00

Today was the day that Fernando Torres got his first Chelsea appearence but it wasnt one to remember, as you can guess he didnt get a very good reception from the Liverpool fans. Throughout the game he had a couple of chances, which he missed of course. To be honest ive never rated Torres. He proved my point today in Chelsea's 1-0 loss. Hero or zero?

Are We Equal?

2011-01-31T15:39:00.000-08:00

As you may have heard Sky Sports pundit Andy Gray has been fired following comments aired on Saturday’s Liverpool/Wolves game. During this game Gray made a comment regarding a female official’s ability to judge the game. Gray was then offiically dismissed after the release of off-air studio footage showing Gray and colleague Richard Keys directing inappropriate behavior towards a female colleague.

The interesting aspect of this story is that all comments that lead to Gray’s dismissal were made off-air and were published by a Sky source with the intend of damaging his reputation. A spokesmen for Sky stated that Gray had been dismissed for ‘unacceptable and offensive behavior’ but they were still looking into the source of the leaks.

Factions opposing the fairness of the dismissal believe that Gray had no malicious intend and the comments were simply light-hearted banter between colleagues. Many people have also stated that this does not bide by equal rights as panelist on popular ITV show ‘Loose Women’ often make unnecessary sexist remarks with no repercussions.

Lorraine Deschamps, an ambassador for the FA feels as though more women should be involved in modern football and that “…their [Andy Gray & Richard Keys] anachronistic views have only served to highlight the change”.

Egypt Army Rule Out Using Force.

2011-01-31T15:26:00.000-08:00

Egypt's army gave a powerful boost to the country's opposition tonight by announcing it would not use force to silence "legitimate" demands for democratic reforms in the Arab world's largest country.
On the eve of a million-strong protest planned for tomorrow and amid multiplying signs that the US is moving steadily closer towards ditching its long-standing ally, Egypt's president Hosni Mubarak now has few options left.
Tonight, the Egyptian vice-president, Omar Suleiman, said Mubarak had asked him to start a dialogue with all the country's political parties. According to state TV, Suleiman said it would involve constitutional and legislative reforms.
