1 THE EIDOLONS MYTH

A sumptuously decorated carriage, with figurines reminiscent of those of a Gothic church, pictures of mermaids and beautifully carved gargoyles, it is approaching swiftly to the sound of the gallop of six mezu monsters "Mezu-maraizu", equine creatures with a huge horn in the form of a scimitar. The road is quite rough, and has been made worse by the terrible rains that had occurred throughout the mountainous region of the province of Balamb, the island of the Grand Lion Griever.

He wore under his cloak, a long sack of man-made fabric that was the latest fad in the capital, and a pair of camp-legged trousers with many pockets to store utensils. The pair of spearmen stuck their legs in the ground and, clutching their fists, said in chorus.

"Enough! The two entered through the door of the pillars, with the bows of the spearmen.

"By the way," Argento said. "Biggs, Wedge, tomorrow morning will be time for our practice with the spear.

Both spearmen stood firm

"Yes young master," they answered at the same time as Argento entered in the ville,

"Tomorrow is going to be a very hard day ..." Biggs thought.

"Let it go, pal," said Wedge, "he doesn’t it badly, otherwise, only two months remain, be calm.

However, Biggs, hearing that he was still two months away, could not hide his anguish.

Now, by the light of the candles, it could be seen the great beauty of Ada. Her skin was white as marble, her arms were exposed by the dress, they stood out for their lightness and perfect proportion, her torso had not yet developed, but the shapes that would one day give her a grace and a beauty unequaled in all those lands, if not, throughout the empire. The sincerity of those words touched so deeply the hearts of Cornelius and Argento that they could barely contain their tears, for they both knew that the old man would die in a span of no more than five years.

"Grandpa," said Ada, approaching him, and looking at him tenderly, "for we shall soon have to use the Eidolons, could you tell us the story again? Yes?”

“Again?” Said Argento taking his arms behind the nape of the neck and raising his chin in an attitude of laziness “you have been told that story a thousand times. In fact, sometimes you don’t even pay attention to Master Steiner when he tells us.

"Master Steiner is an old pimp, and my grandpa is the great historian of the empire," Ada said, pounding her foot and folding her arms. "And shouldn’t you be taking the water from the spring of life to matron? our mother needs it-

"I already did it," answered Argento, "do you think that I am like you?"

The girl turned red with embarrassment.

Vessels so impressive, that they could plunge into the darkness of the waters, until they touched the ground in places so deep that even the light could not touch them.

And they created crops and fed them in such a way that a few fractions of land could feed entire multitudes.

They created automatons that did the heavy work for them.

However, all that opulence was invariably carried out by an element, the water of darkness.

For it was true that the blood flowing through the veins of the automatons, and of the ships, wasn’t red as that of men, it was black like that of the very dips of the hell. It happened that men made war on one another for the greed of owning the water of darkness, but then, something happened.

Was it because of the wickedness of men?

Would it be a natural wonder?

In any case, on a night of red moon, a series of creatures with powers never seen before appeared on Earth.

Ifrit, the lord of the fire, who swept everything in his path, he liked the water of darkness so much, but when he approached it, it turned to fire, which filled him with fury and ran out to find more, to finish Likewise.

Shiva, the queen of the ice, wishing to feel the warmth of the touch of a living being, walked through the cities of men, trying to convince them to just give her a hug, but just before they did, they all became statues of ice.

Minotaurus, the lord of the earth, obfuscated by the rape that men had made on earth, destroyed every one of the great towers that were used to draw out the Water of darkness of it. He also swept away many farmlands, judging them as a sign of the greed of men.

Garuda, ruler of the air, was also annoyed for the water of darkness use because once used, it became a kind of miasma that polluted the air. First, Garuda destroyed the ships that skirted the skies, for they moved through the water of darkness, and then searched for all the towers from which the miasma vomited into the skies, to destroy them with their hurricane winds.

Siren, the lady of the song and the coasts, saw how her kingdom had been turned into a dump by the men, so she decided to sink her ships, either with her beautiful song, that made the sailors throw themselves into the sea from their Gigantic boats, or by the creation of terrible swirls in the waters that swallowed them completely. From time to time, with his sweet voice, she attracted Shiva, causing the creation of large ice floes, which destroyed the men's boats.

However, the men didn’t stayed still, they all armed themselves, with weapons that launched projectiles and exploded at the contact.

Thus, they destroyed the great spirits, but the victory was only momentary, because the moment they destroyed a body, it returned to materialize in a different place.

Soon, because of the lack of water from the darkness, society was decaying. But the worst creature was yet to come.

The final creatures, which had been anticipated by an ancient book of prophecies, were released.

In the sea, the great sea serpent, Leviathan, supreme lord of the seas, I flooded all the cities of the world that were on the coast, and even many others that were far away.

But the worst thing was the release of the dragon king.

This is how Bahamut and his entourage of a thousand dragons came to earth.

Bahamut descended from the heavens wrapped in its purple wings.

He had no eyes, yet he could see the darkness of souls and the purposes of every living being, and he hated the darkness of the heart of the men so much that in his mind there was only one idea.

Destruction.

Bahamut appeared on every battlefield, in every weapon factory, and in every city where he saw that wickedness, and with a single blow of his powerful jaws, erased it from the map in a cloud in the form of a fungus.

It was Bahamut who completely destroyed civilization and almost annihilated mankind.

Soon there were no more cities to destroy, but Bahamut still perceived that darkness in the hearts of men, and continued with towns.

Humanity would have been destroyed, were it not for the arrival of the great sage. Mio Cid.

The Cid, was a powerful sorcerer, who sealed the real form of all spirits in secret places and saved humanity from its destruction.

But, as mysterious as was his appearance, so was his disappearance. Shortly after he sealed Bahamut in the tree of the law, he disappeared.

However, the great spirits weren’t completely sealed; continually their specters appeared and disappeared from different parts of the world.

Some men were able to communicate with them and make a covenant of cooperation, for the great spirits preferred to live in the minds and hearts of men to remain in oblivion shut up for all eternity.

Hello literature fans, I hope you will enjoy this Fic in which I have worked for almost 2 years. This fanfic is more an original story that uses certain elements and names of characters, that are property of Squarenix. Now another clarification, I am an amateur, novice and unlettered fanatic-fan, so if you do not like it, be merciful and raise your objections civilly.

Another reason why I decided to write this is to practice my writing skills, this is because English is not my native language, but I would like to improve my abilities on written language, the problem is that you can’t progress if you don’t make mistakes, so if there are errors of writing it would be very convenient to point out, thank you very much.

How I got the idea of making a final fantasy fic? I decided to do it on Final Fantasy because it was precisely a series of non-consecutive games in that authors used certain common elements along the way. That gave me some advantages, first, I had many elements to grasp, but at the same time, it gave me free rein to make a completely new story.
