<p><strong>Core Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>It is a middle level position that reports to the Country Director and is required to undertake internal auditing of AAPk offices and partners which access or use AAPk’s financial resources to implement projects and programme activities. The role would include review of the adequacy of internal controls and to coordinate the risk management process. You would require reporting on adequacy of internal controls as a means of optimizing the economic and efficient utilization of organization resources and provide suitable recommendations.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Ensure compliance with international/local policies and procedures,</li>
<li> Ensure proper management of financial records at country office, area offices, directly manage projects, DAs, partners and donor funded projects,</li>
<li> Ensure implementation of activities in line with AAPk or donor requirements,</li>
<li> audit of the operational areas (program) to ensure achievement of the organizational objectives,</li>
<li> Conduct the review of head office finance including balance sheet, income and expenditure account, management accounts, returns etc.</li>
<li> Create awareness, train and build capacity of partners, area offices and country office staff,</li>
<li> Proactively engage with SMT in the risk identification and management process and report progress against action plans.</li>
<li> Conduct a periodic follow-up on audit recommendations and provide the same to management for review.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Candidate Profile:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>We are looking for candidate with CA Finalist, ACCA, CIMA, MBA finance. Professional certification like CIA would be preferred</li>
<li>Minimum 3 to 5 years of audit experience, preferably in development sector</li>
<li>Good Understanding of Rights Based Approach</li>
<li>Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and SUN accounting System</li>
<li>Good Reporting and interpersonal communication skills</li>
<li>Exposure/ability to work in a diversified multicultural set-up</li>
<li>Ability to undertake frequent travel to field</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Qualified CA from ICAP with 15 years of exposure mainly to the Accounting Functions</li>
<li>Should have experience working with an ERP system</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE &amp; JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform general accounting and financial reporting functions for local management and external reporting needs.</li>
<li>Responsible for the preparation of accurate financial reports and supporting schedules as required.</li>
<li>Responsible for account reconciliations that include multi currency inter-company accounts as well as complex bank accounts.</li>
<li>Duties include highlighting to management potential issues affecting expenses, balances, or cash flow.</li>
<li>Perform general accounting functions, including operation of the general ledger system, journal entries, and month-end close work.</li>
<li>Analyze financial information, call attention to trends, make recommendations, collect information and prepare reports.</li>
<li>Receives general supervision from the Financial Services Manager</li>
<li>Exercises functional and technical supervision over the accounting staff.</li>
<li>Authorized as acting Financial Services Manager in the absence of the Manager.</li>
<li>Plans, organizes, assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of assigned professional and technical support staff.</li>
<li>Prepares and directs the preparation of audits, financial statements and varied fiscal reports.</li>
<li>Reviews accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and makes or directs correcting entries.</li>
<li>Prepares, maintains control, and is responsible for subsidiary accounting records involving a variety of transactions and accounts. ·	Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures. ·	Provides technical support to outside auditors and governmental program auditors.</li>
<li>Posts data to various ledgers, registers, journals and logs following established accounting techniques and procedures. ·	Performs internal audits of accounts payable, payroll distribution, fixed assets, and cash. May make correcting journal entries in assigned areas.</li>
<li>Prepare and analyze complex financial statements that relate to various fund types and account groups, and notes to the financial statements.</li>
<li>Read and understand technical forms and receipts.</li>
<li>Understand and follow oral and written instructions.</li>
</ul>
