As a teacher you have many options to control noise in a classroom. Few of them are discussed below.

1. You have few students in your classroom like 40-50 then you can start telling an interesting story so than they listen to you. And what kind of story the teacher will tell will depend on the age of students of that classroom. If they are primary school students then you can tell them simple stories with Kings and Queens. If the students are adult then the teacher can tell them funny incidences happened with the teacher himself or any other that he know. If they are matured then you can tell them your struggle with some twists in that story so that they listen to that.

2. If you have so many students in your classroom then you can give them interesting tasks which the students find easy and fun to do so that they concentrate on their work rather than talking with each other. You can ask them to draw a picture of their own interest.

3. You can use the blackboard by writing writing something interesting or making a drawing so that students attract to that.

4. Sometimes the teacher can be a strict person if any student tries to spoil the whole class by making noises. The teacher can resort to giving punishment to students if the situation get worse if required.
