Dear Readers, I've been very busy and unable to maintain this blog recently. I am considering taking on one or two others who want to search out and post about free ebooks available online. You will be expected to search out free fiction ebooks on your own, this can take up a good bit of time. Then post about them here, on this blog, following my post structure. Looking back through my blog to see what I've done will give you a good idea of what I'm looking for. There are some rules and I can add to or change them whenever it seems necessary to ME. I recently got a new ebook reader, it has a 5 inch screen and uses FBReader to read mobi and epub files. I also have a Cybook Gen 3 which uses real Mobi and Adobe software. Because of the new reader, I can test formatting on a different device and I have made some changes to some of the free ebook files at the bottom of this blog page. They should look better now on non-mobi and non-adobe software, and on a five inch screen. But they'll always look best on real mobi software and standards compliant epub software. The mobi versions of these books will now work on non-mobi software. The epub versions are also updated. Gone With The...

Recently, while upgrading to the long awaited firmware on my Cybook Gen 3, the unit froze and stayed frozen. Subsequently I can't get it to move past the opening image. So it's useless. I had to buy a different ebook reader. Which ebook reader is the right one for you? I hope to give you some features to think about and help you make a better decision for yourself. Screen Type Most of the handheld readers have an e-ink screen. Some don't.
