Shop online now for some really affordable matted archival limited edition prints of New York City, California, Italy, Florida and other travel and landscape pictures.

I traveled around the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast for a couple years displaying my Photography at art festivals and shows. I had to carry an inventory of prints with me that were ready to sell on the spot. Though most shows were successful, I eventually gave up the traveling and local shows when I had my kids... thus, I now have a good amount of prints left in inventory that I would like to sell quickly to free up some storage space.

These prints are top quality archival Ultrachrome prints that were personally produced by me in my studio. They have been stored in archival conditions and are ready to be displayed!

The discounted rates are determined by inventory status. When an image is added to the cart, the pricing will be displayed and you can see which sizes are offered at the reduced sale rate.

Currently, I have a number of 4x6, 5x7, and 8x12 prints on sale. The pricing is as follows:

4x6 Print, 11x14 Mat = $5

5x7 Print, 11x14 Mat = $5

8x12 Print, 16x20 Mat = $10

These prices are 75%+ off the normal print pricing. But inventory is low on most prints, so don't delay....

With so much surrounding us in the world, sometimes it is nice to look at things a little simpler... like in black and white. The beauty of landscapes and travel scenes can really shine though in black & white.

Digital cameras have given the photographer the ability to shoot in color or black & white at the same time - since we have the ability to convert color images to black & white in post production. Some cameras offer the option to shoot in black & white in the camera - however I do not recommend this technique. It is always best to capture as much detail and color as possible when you are shooting, because you never know what you may want after the shoot. There are many ways to convert a color image to black & white in Adobe Photoshop... some are better than others... but that is for another post.

Starting on the 4th of July, the public can climb to the crown of the Statue of Liberty. It has been closed since the 9/11 attacks in New York City. I had the pleasure of visiting Liberty Island in 2003 but was unable to make the climb. This news is very exciting and I look forward to making another trip to New York and experiencing the view from the crown. These pictures of The Statue of Liberty are from my 2003 visit. From San Diego to San Francisco, the California Coast is breathtaking... I had the luxury of living out in L.A. and Santa Barbara for a few years and it was a fantastic place to photograph. The most amazing piece of land is the Big Sur coastline. CA Hwy 1 is a magnificent stretch of road that should be taken slowly to absorb the brilliant coastline and quaint towns. These pictures of California are a small representation of the beauty that California offers.

The images in this gallery are my original Polaroid Transfer prints of scenes in New York City, Italy, Utah and California. The Polaroid Transfers are made from printing a 35mm slide onto a piece of Polaroid Type 55 film using a slide enlarger. Rather than allowing the traditional Polaroid print to form, the dye is transferred from the Polaroid negative onto a piece of watercolor paper giving the final print a hand painted look.

Signed & numbered, limited edition prints are available for purchase online. I will only produce 5 of each image and each one is unique due to the manual process of transferring the Polaroid ink. These Polaroid Transfers are available unmated, matted or framed and matted. Unlimited reproductions are also available at a much lower price.

Due to the differences in each transfer, the examples shown in this gallery may differ slightly from additional transfers.

Florida Gators Swamp Photos

The Florida Gators are the 2008 National College Football Champions after beating the Big XII Oklahoma Sooners in the BCS National Championship game in Miami at Dolphins Stadium! The SEC defense proved to be too much for the Sooners to handle with the Gators stopping two goal line touchdown drives by Oklahoma. The Gators kept the Sooners offense to under their normal 60 point display with just 14 points.

Tilt Shift Landscape and Architecture Photography

I captured this photo of the Neuse River in Raleigh, North Carolina using a 24mm Tilt Shift lens on a 35mm Canon 1Ds Digital SLR. By tilting the lens, the plane of focus has been applied directly to the tree in the center while the edges fall off out of focus. Using a tilt shift lens can lend itself to many unique photo opportunities as well as practical applications - for example, by shifting the lens up or down, you are able to keep your perspective in line when shooting architecture. As seen below in this kitchen photograph, the vertical lines within the cabinets and the window pane are perfectly straight. This is due to the camera and lens being parallel to the floor. By shifting the lens up or down, you are able to compose your shot and maintain correct perspective. Tilt and shift is standard practice on large format 4x5 or 8x10 cameras, but Canon has 3 different 35mm Tilt Shift lens for film or digital SLR cameras.

Although it is not officially winter yet, it is December and we are 6 days away from Christmas... and it is 72 degrees in Atlanta today. Seriously? I want cold weather in December. I am not a fan of spring temperatures at this time of the year - maybe I need to move to a place like Montana. I shot this image outside of Missoula, Montana on U.S. Highway 93 on the way to Flathead Lake. It was a cold, dreary day in January (close enough)... and there is snow on the ground! This is my type of winter... snow, cold, dreary. Time to put on a sweatshirt and turn on the heat... not a golf shirt and the AC.

I took this photo specifically for making a Polaroid Transfer... The movement and iconic representation of New York City made a perfect subject. This image really captures the feeling of New York City for me...

This original Polaroid Transfer was made from a 35mm slide using a slide enlarger. I limit my printing of Polaroid Transfers to an edition of five. Each one is slightly unique due to the printing process.

Fall is finally here! It has been way too hot in Atlanta the last couple weeks and it has finally cooled off to the 60s/70s. The leaves haven't turned yet, but we should see them falling soon. I always welcome fall with joy every year - the summer heat is behind me and the cool mornings and evenings await. I guess I live in the wrong town. Here is a shot I took in Charlottesville, Virginia a few years ago while visiting The University of Virginia.

Times Square, New York City - Black & White

Times Square is a very interesting place to photograph. There are virtually countless opportunities, both visually and creatively. I chose to convert this digital image to a black and white photograph. I felt by removing the vibrant and distracting neon festival of colorful light, the image displays a different view of this tourist spot. It is a much more raw and haunting view of a place that can be so lively.

Central California Coast near San Simeon

I had the pleasure of living in California for 3 years and taking in all its beauty. This image was taken on the Central California Coastline near San Simeon (famous for Hearst Castle). Driving up HWY CA 1 is something that everyone should do at least once in their lifetime... it is absolutely breathtaking and offers countless landscape photography opportunities. Bring your jacket though, it is usually windy and cold, even in the summer.

Sunset, Canyonlands National Park, Utah

My wife and I traveled around the country after we graduated college and we spent about 5 days in southern Utah... Canyonlands National Park was one of our favorite spots. Compared to the Grand Canyon, Canyonlands is more breathtaking, less populated and huge. In fact, since we visited Canyonlands before we stopped at The Grand Canyon, we were really disappointed with The Grand Canyon. Canyonlands is so pristine and remote. You could spend days exploring this park and you could also spend a few days without seeing another soul if you venture into the depths of the park. We spent 1 day there and ended up on this overlook waiting for a spectacular sunset. At first it didn't look like much was going to happen in the sky... photographers came and went, but we stuck it out eating our graham crackers. As the sun finally fell into the distance, we were treated with this brilliant display of light and color.

Macro Photograph - Orange Rose

This is a close up of an orange rose in bloom. I used a Canon Macro Photo MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Manual Focus Lens to capture this image. My wife bought me three roses for our third wedding anniversary in 2004. I thought that was really cool... I've never received flowers before and was really intrigued by their beauty. I feel this image really captures the beauty and simplicity of the rose... while also causing the viewer to look a little deeper.
