Watching Vishen Lakihiani's videos have inspired me. I have reached some of my goals, mostly money and travel goals. I still need to work on other personal goals like weight loss which is a BIG problem for me.

I recommend this video to people who need motivation. This is the specific video that really made a difference in my life. I got this from a newsletter from Silva Method Life. I am a Silva Graduate but I haven't practiced for quite some time now.

What is a Chiropractor?
(Pronounced: ki-ro-prak-tor)
A Chiropractor is a health care doctor who practices the profession of chiropractic.

Chiropractors have the letters “DC” after their name denoting “Doctor of Chiropractic”. In the United States and Canada, they are considered by definition, primary care physicians as they provide first contact with a patient who may present with an undiagnosed condition (such as back pain) and therefore chiropractors are sometimes referred to as “Chiropractic Physicians”.

What is Chiropractic?
(Pronounced: ki-ro-prak-tik)
Chiropractic is a health care profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal (ie., nerve-muscle-bone) system, particularly the spine, and the effects of these disorders on the nervous system and general health.

According to the (American) Association of Chiropractic Colleges: Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between the body's main structures (ie., the skeleton, the muscles and the nerves) and the patient's health. Chiropractors believe that health can be improved and preserved by making adjustments to these structures - particularly to the spinal column.

It is the largest of the Complimentary & Alternative Medicine (CAM) health professions and second only to medical doctors in the United States and Canada as primary healthcare physicians. It is the fastest growing in North America and the second largest growing doctoral level health profession in the world. Chiropractors have been helping millions of people all over the world for more than 100 years!

Doctors of Chiropractic practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Like other health practitioners, chiropractors follow a standard routine to secure the information needed to determine how to care for their patients. They take the patient’s medical history; conduct physical, neurological and orthopedic examinations; and may order X-rays.

Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and many chiropractors also use physical therapy modalities such as water, light, massage, ultrasound, electric, and heat therapy and may apply supports such as straps, taping and braces. In fact, physiotherapy is an elective examination as part of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) certification in the United States. Although many chiropractic clinics employ other therapists and assistants in the care of patients, much of the therapies are directly administered by the chiropractor themselves, which distinguishes a chiropractic visit from the typical doctor-patient encounter.

A new Korean website that offers online English tutorials will open this year. They are looking for homebased English teachers. This job offers a lot of flexibility, teachers may select their teaching hours and days. Part timers, teachers, students, call center agents and anyone who has good English communication skills may apply.

Please follow the instructions to facilitate the process.

The Qualifications:

* Good command of the English language, meaning can understand and speak English well, no to minimal grammatical errors.
* A clear voice with a good accent. You don't need to have an American or British accent, a neutral accent would be best as long as you don't have a strong Filipino accent (Bisaya, Ilocano, etc.)
* Good attitude towards work. Filipinos have the reputation of always being late, and some, always absent.
* Have a pleasant personality and can accept constructive criticism.

Take note that it doesn't matter if you are a college graduate or not. Your skill and attitude are more important that a diploma.

The Requirements:

1. A reliable computer. Minimun specs: XP with at least 500MB RAM.
2. Stable Internet connection. Broadband or DSL, wired is preferred but not necessary.
3. Webcam
4. Headset or mic and speakers
5. Skype program. You may download this from www.skype.com.
6. Updated resume.

The instructions:
You have to send your updated resume to the Tutor Manager Cristy, include your skype ID as well. Her e-mail address is cziley2k2 [at] uplink.com.ph. Tell her you got this information from Fiona. On the subject line of your e-mail, put your name and the position. Example: Juan Dela Cruz - Online Tutor.

Once you've sent your resume, you may add her to your Skype contact list. Her Skype ID is edelweiss322. Just mention when you are requesting to be added that you are an applicant. Please wait for her response as she may not be able to immediately do this since she is also teaching and then does her interviews when she has the time. She will schedule you for an interview and also a demo. She will not proceed with the demo if you do not have your webcam installed so please be prepared.

You may think that we pay too much attention to detail or are strict. Actually, I am giving you all these instructions to facilitate the screening process. Don't be intimidated by my e-mail. Just follow the instructions here and you'll be fine.

For the rate, you need to ask teacher Cristy that. It's ok to ask her. You may ask her anything you want as long as it's related to the job.

I hope my instructions were clear. The site will open in 2 months and they are looking for 10 - 20 teachers to start the ball rolling.
