I've been busy updating my website and every other site I have a profile on since I decided to change my business name from Firefly Handmade Glass to simply my name. Even though I have to dedicate a few more hours to the task, I can say I'm almost there.

There are a lot of changes taking place in my life, and I'm trying to keep up with them. After hours of computer work, I feel I deserve a couple of hours of entertainment. Nothing better than an awesome game to distract me...lately, Tony Montana is rocking my world. That's right, Scarface is pretty cool!

Anyway, above is my latest glass bead set, "Urania".

I finally finished a remodel of my web site. I tried to make it more user-friendly and eye-catching. I hope I succeeded! I used an image of a new bead set for my logo. It's called Anakes.

So hot and disgusting! My roses look awfull, and my brains start frying when I'm outdoors for more than 5 minutes.

Changing the subject, this is one of the pieces I pulled out of kiln. I started blowing my own shards, and I'm still experimenting with them. I call this bead "Mystic Mirror", and it's made with Triton shards.

It's getting really hot in Vegas, and my studio/garage is starting to feel like an inferno. And the worst is yet to come... I can't complain too much though; this summer is actually starting late for Vegas standards. But I managed to spend 3 hours flameworking today, and new beads are cooling off in my kiln.

While I wait for them to be ready, here's a picture of one of my auctions ending today. It's called "Dinosaur Egg". :)

I've been really involved with bead making in the past few weeks. Surprisingly, I have been successful as well! I couldn't ask for more, really...

And in the last few weeks my house has turned into a playground for an overactive kitty cat I named Marble. He terrorizes my dog Rusty! Rusty has been patient for the most part...

But Marble has brought a lot of cheer into my daily life. Like any other cat, he seizes the moment and sees the world as the ultimate playground. It reminds me that time will eventually run out, and I should try to make today a great day. It's also helpful to remind myself of all the wonderful things Marble brings into this family when I'm cleaning his smelly litter box.

it's been forever, but i'm finally back. back to glass making i mean...i don't have anything new to show yet, but i'm working on some custom orders at the moment. after so long, i feel very excited about glass again. i guess i needed a break for a while...anyways, it feels good to be back!!!

Van Gogh is a very expensive type of silver glass, that requires just the right alignment of the stars to do what is supposed to do...After wasting half of my assortment, I was finally able to get the color to come out. This glass bead set features the focal I made with Van Gogh.

I just LOVE the colors!!!

It's been a busy week, and I only have today off. It was a very productive day though...made a lot of beads, chores, and even baked dinner and a rum cake for the husband.

Here's a very interesting bead...it looks like the hand of Godzilla getting ahold of the moon. That's what I see anyway...

Man, my days off are over and time just flew right by...managed to make some pieces, wasted a lot of time trying to take pictures of the most difficult set to photograph so far, visited friends and their adorable little baby girl Kirra, cleaned the house, laundry, dinner, walk in desert, bathed the dogs (Gigi, Rusty's girlfriend, is staying over tonight), took care of shipments, listed some new sets...I'M TIRED! And is back to work tomorrow...
