New Beginnings

The past few years have brought lots of changes in life. I became a mom and work took a back seat. 5 very fast years later, I find myself ready to dive back in to Firefly Loft. The beginning of a new year seems like the perfect time to reevaluate and renew. In the coming weeks, I’ll be working to update this site and announce some exciting changes. I’m looking forward to this next phase!

Green Friendly Homes

Green Friendly Homes is a longtime client. Their mission is to:

“Create homes that incorporate fresh designs, green friendly features and a healthier lifestyle for your New Home or Renovation.”

Working with their graphic designer, I did the front-end coding for their site several years ago. They recently decided to transfer the site to a WordPress site so that they could incorporate a blog and make some updates in house. The new site looks great! Check it out at greenfriendlyhomes.com.

Bristol House

Bristol House, LTD is a long-time client of mine. Based in Middle Georgia, they sell Sunday School curriculum, books and church decor targeted to Methodists. They recently decided it was time to update the back-end of their online store so that it would integrate with their in-house inventory management system. After researching several options, we decided to use BigCommerce.com as their new shopping cart.

BigCommerce provides a lot of great back-end functionality and effective marketing tools that will help Bristol grow their online business. With so many changes to their website, they wanted to translate the design of their old site to the new BigCommerce site. I was able to edit the templates to do just that.

The new and much improved BristolHouseLTD.com gives customers the ability to create an account, track their orders and communication with customer service online all set in a familiar site design. In return, Bristol now has an up-to-date shopping cart that is highly search engine optimized, easy to maintain and provides lots of marketing tools. Serio Consulting – Just Updated

Serio Consulting is a long-time client of mine. They provide SAP training and advice to businesses all over North America. This technically savvy team wanted to take ownership of their website and be able to make updates to the content on their own as well as add a blog.

WordPress was the obvious solution. Incorporating the existing site layout that I created a couple of years ago, I designed a custom WordPress theme. This new site gives them added flexibility and WordPress’ easy content management system.

The result is a great looking site that will grow with them as their needs change and give them a quick and easy way to keep their site up to date. Hope you enjoy it, guys!

Cool Beans

I LOVE coffee. So imagine how excited I was to work with the great folks over at Cool Beans Coffee Roasters in Marietta, GA. They wanted to move their site from a flash platform to wordpress so that they could keep it fresh and updated in house. After a couple of conversations about the best direction to go, we decided to use a powerful and nimble theme framework. This site is built on a template that has been modified slightly to better fit their “look.”

The New Firefly Loft

I’m so excited to launch the new and much approved Firefly Loft website! This site is built on the wordpress platform and uses a great new theme framework that I have used for several clients lately. The beauty of this system is that it gives the site administrator a really quick and easy way to keep your site fresh and up to date, no HTML knowledge required. This site is also built to be very search engine friendly and has several social networking tools already built in.
