Best days are made up of offices full of puppies. I was lucky enough to volunteer at Muttville in San Francisco and in just a few short hours, these pooches forever changed my life. Adopt a sweet senior pup today!

Can't ever get enough of those California palms

Sometimes weekends with no plans at all end up better than those meticulously thought out. With nothing slated to do, we enjoyed lazy mornings, caught up on old movies (full disclosure, I had never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off until now) and enjoyed the company of one of my best girlfriends visiting from out of town over sushi. The weekend rounded out nicely with a little Sunday shopping with my mom. Have a fantastic week.

One of my favorite shows to date, Mark and Estel brought positive vibes with relevant style and eccentricity to the runway. A collection of plaid, lace, capes and perfectly tailored rocker-inspired silhouettes took the runway followed by Mark and Estel themselves who turned the catwalk into a concert stage.

The runway was literally a celebration of love, life and joy as what has come to be expected from Desigual and this season certainly did not disappoint. Granted if I could simply live in a flower crown and little yellow booties, I would be in my own personal fashion heaven. What more could you need!

The beauty of flight inspired Todashi Shoji's collection, which meant dozens of feathers and avian inspired gowns took the runway by storm. Known for his elegant silhouettes and feminine style, Shoji’s latest collection delivered exactly that with voluminous tiered frocks and capes reminiscent of flying and a broad color palette went from neutrals to jewel tones like purple and green.

Last night, designer Lie Sang Bong held an intimate cocktail party at his New York Flagship Store in New York City. The event was a prelude to his upcoming Fall/Winter 2015 runway show during New York Fashion Week. The store features vibrant sky-blue tiles in the center of the floor with beautiful images of butterflies and designer’s previous collections. The white three-dimensional wavy ceiling is representative of designer’s signature geometric silhouette. The store carries Lie’s latest ready-to-wear and accessories, carefully handpicked by the designer himself.

Best known for architectural silhouettes influenced by Bauhaus-influenced geometric shapes, Lie Sang Bong has become one of South Korea’s most prominent designers in history. His designs incorporate traditional Korean aesthetics such as Korean poetry and calligraphy. Last season, he showcased a collection inspired by the emotional state of Korea following the Sewol ferry disaster, where hundreds of teenage passengers lost their lives in a devastating drowning accident.

For this season, Lie was inspired by the scent of peonies trying to express the stirred emotions and a fragile state of mind. And trust, this collection is powerful with just the right balance of femininity.

By far, my fondest moment of 2014 was marrying S. He's my true inspiration and he makes me the happiest. When the moment counts, it's with him by my side and look forward to what's in store in the year to come. And although I've never been one for the whole new year, new you, I do have areas I would like to continue to develop in 2015 for a more well-rounded life and self in the new year.

Give back. I'm so fortunate for all that I have, it's important to me to give back to the community that has taken such good care of me. This is a main reason why I joined the Junior League so that I could make a greater impact with a group of like minded woman. You truly do get what you give.

Take advantage of San Francisco living. On repeat. This was something S and I vowed we would do and we kinda nailed it in 2014. From concerts to pop up dinners to art exhibits to sporting events, we dabbled in a bit of everything this city has to offer. BUT there's still So. Much. More. to enjoy, so this will continue to be a priority in 2015.

More yoga & Pilates. During the Summer I switched to early morning cardio before work. I love the clarity of my day when I start my day at the gym but it's just not the same as taking a class. I miss my abs and hope to see them again real soon.

Continue to set, meet and celebrate financial goals. To put it simply, we want a home of our own. Where that home may be located is still up in the air, but exploring neighborhoods is exciting and celebrating milestones met along the way keeps us motivated.

Master the crock pot. So random, I know. But not only do we come home to a warm dinner waiting for us, we save on not ordering take out. A friend recently gave me this cookbook so plan on taking a culinary tour around the world in a crock pot. Coming to a blog near you.

Learn to play the ukulele so I can play with the locals in Santa Cruz. Just because.

Dance more.

On his "Dream Road" runway (literally, a dream road of 1,188 glass tiles featuring abstract prints and looks from past runways) show, Lie Sangbong's collection is uplifting manifested in butterflies, flowers and clouds on delicate silk jacquard, chiffon and organza. Just heavenly.
