Guess what this week's worship is about? Hint: we've talked about it for the last two weeks! This Sunday, we take on the third healing story with which Mark begins his gospel.
One Wild Sunday Morning

The thing about worship is that we have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen on any given Sunday morning. But, what would happen if the plan for the day went "out the window?"
This Sunday we celebrate the Trinity - that unique doctrine of

While the word “trinity” doesn’t appear in the Bible, there are

Come along and join us for worship at 8:30 or 10:30 a.m.

On the Third Sunday in Advent, our attention is focused on “The Song of Mary.” Also known as “The Magnificat,” this song is not a song of peace and maintaining the status-quo.
The Limitations of Prosperity

This Sunday’s worship takes us into Luke’s gospel and the parable of the foolish rich man who kept building barns. Does prosperity have its limitations? Is there a “dark side” to the culture of abundance that we enjoy? We’ll chase those (and other) questions around. We’ll celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

Mysteries and Marvels

We celebrate Trinity Sunday this week at First Presbyterian Church. It is the only Sunday of the liturgical year that is devoted to a doctrine of the church - and a difficult one at that! What does it mean to understand “God in three persons” - “three-in-one” - “one-in-three?” We’ll try to make some sense of it all and why, as complicated as it can be, it’s still a very important part of who we are as Christian people. The sermon title is “Mysteries and Marvels.”

Why Glen Beck is Wrong and Why It Matters

We continue to celebrate the Resurrection in worship this Sunday. The “alleluias” continue to sound in both services as we give thanks for God’s faithfulness.

The sermon this week is right from the headlines. “Why Glenn Beck is Wrong and Why It Matters,” seeks to shed light on the discussion prompted by the radio and television commentator’s pronouncement that any church promoting “social justice” or “economic justice” is merely using code words for Nazism and socialism. What does the Bible have to say?
