Thank You, God, for Your loving spirit within me that prospers and blesses my life.

Well there's alot going on the next couple of months at First Unity!!! Lots of great workshops and fun events. What a way to kick off the summer! For more details, check out our website at: www.unitymemphis.org

Tomorrow, Sunday, June 1st, we have special guest speaker John Moore. John will be facilitating the Conscious Prosperity workshop after the service and a light lunch. The Secret to Simple and Lasting Personal Wealth worksop with show us how to pay off all of our consumer debt in 1-2 years and a mortgage in 4-5 years! Based on New Thought principles this is sure to be one you won't want to miss!

Coming up in June we have our annual yard sale and our annual church picnic. If you would like to share of your talent and time for either of these events, please contact BJ in the office at 901-753-1463. We are still in the planning stages and are looking for fresh ideas, event planners, setter-uppers etc. It's going to be a hoppin' weekend, so mark your calendars now!

Right choices, correct decisions, and good judgment describe the gift of God that enables us to direct our lives in the proper direction. It is the “gut feeling” that appears when we ponder a choice. The gift of WISDOM expresses itself through us as discernment, and right action. Without God man does not have the power to choose rightly. God is omniscience (all knowledge); consequently, we should call upon Him with every single decision that concerns us.

In referring to the wisdom center in the solar plexus area behind the stomach, Fillmore explains: “The presiding intelligence at this center knows what is going on, especially in the domain of consciousness pertaining to the body and its needs. Chemistry is its specialty; it also knows all that pertains to the sensations of soul and body. In it highest phase it makes union with the white light of Spirit functioning in the top brain.

Since the ganglionic center for wisdom is in the pit of the stomach; wrong use of the judgment power causes all kinds of stomach trouble, as well as related ills of the entire abdominal region. There is an old saying, “It is poor judgment to let your thoughts dwell upon your neighbor’s faults without harm to yourself.” This woman proved that to be true.

As we think of Jesus, our wayshower and elder brother, one of the faculties most prized by Him was the gift of wisdom, or spiritual judgment. Frequently he pointed to correct methods of judgment.

In scriptures, He said, “Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.” (Jn. 7:24)
“You judge according to the flesh, I judge no one. Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone that judge, but I and He who sent me.” (Jn. 8:15-16) “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged. . .” (Mt. 7:1-2)

As you direct your mind to your Wisdom faculty at the solar plexus, sometimes referred to as “the body brain,” begin at the first of April and continue daily through the 31st of April. Use prayer and meditation, alternating with repetitive use of scriptures, denials, and affirmations.

There are many paths that lead to Spirit. In this hands-on, interactive workshop we will explore some of these paths & how to see, feel & communicate with the Spiritual world. This workshop will have a profound affect on your understanding of both life and death.

We will begin with a brief lecture about the spiritual realm, life and death, and how the spiritual world communicates. We will explore various tools, such as PsiCards and Soul Readings, to awaken and development your intuition, and enhance your ability to “hear” Spirit.

The second part of the workshop will begin with a guided meditation. Mama Ellie will then bring through messages from spirit to several audience members. *Please note: Not everyone at the demonstration will receive a message and there is no guarantee who will receive a message.

There is only one Presence and one Power active as the universe and as my life, God the Good.
