Wednesday Night Offerings – Revamped!

The new Sunday School year begins August 31st and that means that our Wednesday Night program is in full swing beginning August 27th.

5:00 – 5:45 Fellowship Meal Time
5:00 – 5:30 Adult Handbell Rehearsal
6:00 – 7:00 Children’s Choir & Preschool Choir
Beth Moore study The Patriarchs in room 209 (cost of $20 for workbooks)
First Place reconvenes led by Bobbie Barham
Pastor’s Study: Foundations in the Chapel
Baptist Men meet in the Fellowship Hall
6:30 – 7:30 Youth Study on 3rd floor
7:00 – 8:00 Adult Chorale Rehearsal
Teamkids (schoolagers) in the CLC
Teamkids (preschoolers) in the Preschool Department

Quit messing around with excuses and get plugged in on Wednesday Nights. Who knows, you might even learn something before God’s through! See you there….

Congratulations to Robert & Wendi Barham on the birth of their daughter, Callee Brooke Barham! Callee was born August 9, 2008, weighing in at 7 pounds-3 ounces, and 17 1/2 inches long. The happy Grandparents are John & Bobbie Barham and Bennie & Nancy Lee.

Also Congratulations go out to Casey & Shayna Mills on the birth of their daughter, Casey Marilyn Mills! Casey was born August 1, 2008, weighing 10 pounds-8 ounces. Her joyous Grandparent is Sue Strother and Great Uncle/Aunt, Bud & Marilyn Shamblin.

From August 3rd: approved was a recommendation from the A/V Committee concerning the broadcast of our services on FM 104.9. Serveral businessmen of our church stepped forward to sponsor the broadcast at a cost of $500 monthly. The projected start date will be September 7th.

From August 10th: Approved a recommendation from the Deacon Body that Keith Guthrie be hired as our Interim Youth Minister at a salary of $1500 monthly. Keith begins Monday, August 18th.
