This video shows them performing live their songs "Skanking Queens" and "Clear". Their sound is very bright and cool and it has the ability to make me feel extremely happy for some reason.<br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/7ubhaGbOPwQ?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>If you like this music I would recommend downloading their album Played. This track is directly off it and it is called "Skainking Queens".<br /> <br /> <div style="text-align: center;"><embed allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" bgcolor="#ffffff" flashvars="file=03wr0807idkcfhrb.flv&amp;streamer=http://media.node1.server2.iviewtube.com/xmoov.php&amp;image=http://www.iviewtube.com/uploads/thumbs/03wr0807idkcfhrb.jpg&amp;logo=http://www.iviewtube.com/image_s/playerlogo.png&amp;link=http://www.iviewtube.com&amp;target=_blank&amp;skin=http://www.iviewtube.com/Snel.swf&amp;autostart=false&amp;fullscreen=true&amp;stretching=fill&amp;logo.position=top-right&amp;logo.hide=false&amp;logo.link=http://www.iviewtube.com" height="266" src="http://www.iviewtube.com/jwplayer/player.swf" width="320"></embed></div>firstvariationhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250158764398608004noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373820636382978318.post-981145361596666162011-02-24T06:38:00.000-08:002011-02-24T06:38:32.530-08:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/w5qf9O6c20o?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>So this is the theremin. One of my favorite "weird" instruments, In this video you can see the inventor of this instrument playing his creation. The sound of this instrument is chilling and reminds one of a sci-fi movie. A great hardcore band from Amherst, MA. Their sound is kind of difficult to capture on live video since its so loud and complicated but this video is interesting anyway. He is releasing a new album called Goblin and this video is for the track Yonkers. OFWGKTA are a very promising group which create music that some will find extremely offensive. They are off the wall and they embrace it. If you are interested in their music you can go to their website and download all of their material for free. They are going to be very famous soon.<br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/XSbZidsgMfw?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>firstvariationhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250158764398608004noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373820636382978318.post-54009057687199977432011-02-10T05:45:00.000-08:002011-02-10T05:45:05.612-08:00Frank Zappa is the man and everyone knows it. This video is apparently from 1963 and even back then Zappa was doing weird shit in front of skeptical audiences. In this video Zappa goes on television and plays instruments which you may not have thought of as instruments before watching this. It is likely you still won't afterwards but this video is still interesting nonetheless.<br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="http://1.gvt0.com/vi/Ql_3LS_B4q0/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ql_3LS_B4q0&fs=1&source=uds" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ql_3LS_B4q0&fs=1&source=uds" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ho37arU5-2g?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/Vip0H-I8pTg?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>firstvariationhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250158764398608004noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373820636382978318.post-72172949296917111992011-02-08T12:41:00.000-08:002011-02-08T12:41:23.994-08:00NoMeansNo are a post-hardcore band which although never gained very large of a fanbase,&nbsp;acquired&nbsp;a dedicated one. Their music is complicated, loud, and fun. Here is a great live video of them playing the songs "Two Lips, Two Lungs, and One Tongue" and "Rags and Bones". Both come off their 1989 album Wrong which is highly acclaimed and their most popular.<br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="http://3.gvt0.com/vi/7gtK_4gyf0M/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7gtK_4gyf0M&fs=1&source=uds" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7gtK_4gyf0M&fs=1&source=uds" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object></div>firstvariationhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250158764398608004noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373820636382978318.post-54276089144672797852011-02-07T16:00:00.000-08:002011-02-07T16:01:55.824-08:00Someone whose music has served me very well is Steve Roach. He composes ambient music which is at times tribal or drone. He has been releasing content since the early 80s. My favorite work of his is his album <span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: cyan;">Structures From Silence</span> which I <span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: orange;">highly recommend</span>. Here is a video which features him.<br /> <br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/etoLHpbFuqU?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>firstvariationhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250158764398608004noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373820636382978318.post-15492872800413694672011-02-07T11:36:00.000-08:002011-02-07T16:03:21.538-08:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ac/Abe_Vigoda.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ac/Abe_Vigoda.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red; font-size: x-large;">No, not this guy!!!!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d1/Abev.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d1/Abev.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: lime; font-size: x-large;">Yeah, these guys!!!!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Abe vigoda are a punk band from Chino, California.
