The Revolution is distinguished by the company's SpiraFlex resistance technology, which provides a polished, consistent resistance through the entire range of motion--a principal ingredient in developing lean, strong muscles. The versatility of these lightweight interlocking plates lets you quickly and easily adjust the resistance on the Revolution from 10 to 200 pounds for upper body workouts (which can be upgraded to 280 pounds). The machine duplicates virtually every exercise from your local gym, with Freedom Arms that adjust 170 degrees to work muscles from various angles.
The machine also includes a leg press plate for your lower body, along with a five-position foot harness. All told, the Revolution supports more than 90 exercises, including a comprehensive core and abs workout. Other details include comfortable hand grips and a DVD workout video. The Revolution measures 65 by 38 by 73 inches (L x W x H) and offers a weight capacity of 300 pounds.

View detail at Amazon

Ironman Charger Recumbent Exercise Bike

Ironman Charger is a newly designed semi upright exercise bike featuring a walk thru design. I ordered the Bowflex Blaze gym with the 310 lbs upgrade. My typical workout is a tone-building, fat-burning workout, which entails 10-12 reps in 4 sets. Since I started working out with this machine about 3 weeks ago, I can tell a significant difference in the shape of my biceps, triceps, thighs, and chest. I work out 3 times per week and about 40 minutes per workout early in the morning.

Overall, the Blaze contains more than enough workouts to benefit me. Actually, there are other workouts that I do that are not advertised in the workout booklet that comes with the Blaze. The Blaze folds up quite nicely. It is not small enough to fit under a normal bed, but nonetheless, it stays out of the way if it is folded.

If you want to build a massive amount of muscle and play Tennessee Volunteer football, then you need to join a gym, take creatine, make sure someone is spotting you, and lift like you have never lifted before. But if you want to burn fat/tone muscle or build a modest amount of muscle, then get the Blaze.

The only downside to the blaze with the 310 lbs attachment is that when I do squats, 310 lbs is not enough. It is not a big deal because I'm only trying to tone my thighs, which requires a lower weight.

All in all, I'm very happy with the blaze and this is a good tool to use to become a healthier person.

View details at Amazon

commented by: Jack

Nautilus NR2000 Recumbent Exercise Bike

Recumbent exercise bike with ultra-quiet V-Force Plus resistance system
Industrial-grade Poly-V belt drive delivers smooth pedaling performance
High-resolution, 16 x 16 dot-matrix course display and four-window readout
Six preprogrammed workouts and two custom programs; water bottle holder
Measures 26 x 56 x 44 inches (W x H x D); lifetime warranty on frame.

View details at Amazon
