I started work at miranda fitness first in oct 2012 with the passion and drive to help all people of all shapes and sizes find love for themselves and exercise no matter what their back ground.
I wanted to bring back passion and excitement into exercise but most of all i wanted to show the members we really and truely care.
Since beginning at fitness first I have managed to join and help many memebers – to realise exercise can be fun and how good it can make them feel in their everyday life by taking care of themseleves.
This ranges from highschool students to elder ladies i have convinceed members of all ages to try my Zumba and in March 2013 I created a event to raise money and awareness for women suffering from endometreosis which i too suffer . .
Through the awareness i raised money and also helped 2 members to realise the symtoms and be diognosed so they could start proper treatment.
We also managed to take a place for the fitness first team as a top event for international fitness week.
the best part about this event was not only did my zumba ladies get involved but i also had guys and men attend the gym wearing colours for the cause,having photos and asking with interest about the sickness( i was educating people of a normally silent illness) .
Some even atended the class to help with awareness.
Since starting at fitness first I have put not just my energy and passion but my heart and life experience into the role.
I want everybody to realise they matter and they are not a number they are worthy of love and loving themseleves enough to exercise and eat well.
People join a gym for all reasons it is about listening to the real reason behind them being there and helping them believe and achieve.
I hope to achieve and help many more people throughout my journey and grow with fitness first .I also have been involved in many other events and plan to be more involved as time progresses in larger scale events on behalf of fitnes first

Patti and some dedicated Zumba members showed off their moved at Westfield shopping center! Shoppers watched on in awe as the ladies shaked their booties and even some kids jumped in for a boogie!

2 QV Platinum PT’s have proved what is really possible with hard work and dedication.

Amanda Brown (Rakusic) won Miss Novice Physique at the Victorian INBA Championships and placed 3rd in Miss Figure International. She then went on to achieve 2nd place in Novice Physique and 5th place in Intermediate at the INBA Nationals.

Linh Trinh won Junior Champion at the Victorial ANB Championships and placed 5th in the Overall Male Bodybuilding.

Congratulations to both Amanda and Linh on their achievements!

The latest batch of Fitness Firsters have come thrugh the doors in Victoria- with a very fitcentric group in attendance!
Of the 11 attendees we had 3 PT’s, 6 GFI’s a PlayZone assistant and our new HR manager in learning about what it is that makes Fitness First great.
During the day we had a period where the group split in half and came up with ideas to improve Member Experience if they had an endless budget. Ideas included a valet, juice bars & massage’s, however the idea that caught everyones attention was a chaeuffer service- picked up from home/work and driven to the club, with a PT, dietician, pyscologist, etc all waiting in the car to help you!

The awesome MC’s from King George, Elizabeth St Plat & Fortitude Valley proudly represented Fitness First at the weekends Brisbane Health & Fitness EXPO.
Thousands of people visited the Expo and our aim was to make ‘Brisbane A Fitter Place’ and with awesome support from our Marketing Dept with so many free goodies to give away and thousands of 7 Day Guest Passes given out we can safely say that the brand of Fitness First propspered. Well Done to all the team!!!

Carindale reception got in trouch with their inner zombie for Halloween. The club was decorated with spiders and and pumpkins and members even got to nibble on a dark choc covered sultanas! Yum!

Please join us in welcoming the newest batch of Fitness Firsters to team VIC! They are all bright and bubbly and eager to start making a difference to people’s health and fitness. In the mix we have group fitness instructors, personal trainers, a Playzone Assistant AND our brand new National HR Manager! We wish them all the best of luck in their new roles.

On Friday the 31st of August, an excited influx of Fitness Intructors, GFI’s, PT’s, Receptionists, Playzone and Support Staff joined the Fitness Firsters NSW team.

Monday 20th August we welcomed 15 fabulous Fitness Firsters to our VIC team! Joining us are membership consultants, personal trainers, receptionists, fitness instructors and playzone assistants. The energetic group completed Fitness First Day where they learned all about our Fitness First policies, strategies, initiatives and employee benefits. They are now ready to make the world a fitter place!
