prevents cancer, but it is not until a while ago that it has been totally and for sure been proven by researchers that this is true!

In order to be accurate the research had to be conducted over a couple of years. We know exercise helps but medical proof about this has always been a bit dodgy. The effect of something like smoking was very clear compared to the effect of exercising.

The Copenhagen Male Study, a very important research last year found that regular cancer exercise can help prevent intestinal cancer. It studied the physical exercise habits of over 5000 men over a timeframe of 23 years. Creating this one of the most important study in history. These men were divided into four various levels of exercises - from those who never worked out to those who worked out a lot.

The study turned up some fascinating outcomes about the connection between physical exercise and the growth of cancer. First of all it was found that those who exercised moderately had a stronger resistance to acquiring the disease eventually in life. The head of the study, Dr. Inge Haunstrup Clemmensen from the Cancer Foundation in Denmark believe that the average physical activity came out to strengthen the immune center.

The study revealed that moderate physical exercise played an essential part in preventing all cancers of the digestive tract, but particularly intestinal cancer and esoophagal cancers. It also confirmed that physical exercise was efficient against prostrate and lung cancer.

Exercise stimulated the intestinal tract to move it‚contents through the bowels further, this was one of the information for that. You have probably heard the expression ‚Death begins in the colon. That pertains to cancers that happen because of putrefied old food and impacted waste that are never moved out of the body. You should keep moving, it speeds up the digestive process and cancer causing agents are not allowed to fester and cause problems, that seems to be the concept.

Experts estimates that one third of fatalities can be attributed to inactive behaviors and bad diet. A normal regimen is so important to get into.. A lot less prone to disease of all kind is a conditioned and fit body.

Working out too difficult is also not a good idea. You can actually cause the immune system to be reduced if you exercise every day in a way that requires a great deal of physical effort. You sometimes seem to cleanse or not feel well after a big exercise, if you are any kind of athlete, you have probably already noticed that. This can be partially because of to picking up infections because your immune system is not as effective.

The great news is that you do not have to be a muscle builder or devote exhaustive hours in the gym to prevent esophageal and colon cancers. All you will have to do is go walking or ride the bike two or three times a week and then also do some kind of weight bearing exercise twice a week. This will maintain your body a little more immune to the harmful toxins in our surroundings that can cause cancer.
Visit http://www.HealingThroughMovement.com for more information on courses, services and publications.

Plus let you know about an update to Muscle Imbalances Revealed.

Lets start with Muscle Imbalances Revealed – Upper Body Edition or as I call it, MIRU.

#1 - Muscle Imbalances Revealed - Upper Body Edition - Coaching Call

Few weeks back, the four creators of MIRU (Tony Gentilcore, Jeff Cubos, Dean Somerset, Rick Kaselj), did a coaching call where we answered MIRU members questions.

We sat on the phone with MIR members and aswered their questions. It was a lot of fun.

It went great and we give away a stack more of great information.

Listen to the call here: ==> VIP Call

If you are having difficulties listening to the MIRU coaching call, this is how to access it.

1) Go to http://muscleimbalancesrevealed.com/wp-admin
2) Enter your username and password.
2) Then go to: http://muscleimbalancesrevealed.com/miru-vip-coaching-call/

If you have not got MIRU yet, CLICK HERE to get it.

When you order MIRU, you will get a recording of the call.

The very cool thing, we will be doing another coaching call very soon so if you are a MIRU member, you will get access to that as well.

If you are not, you can get it here => Get MIRU

The very cool thing about the coaching call is you can ask us, your questions.

This never happens with a fitness education product. You never get to review the product and then directly ask the creators your questions but with MIRU, you do.

Most times you need to pay to go to the person's course or pay to go to a conference and see them. Not with MIRU, you can get on the phone with us.

It is so cool.

This is one of the many reason why Muscle Imbalances Revealed is so amazing.

Now getting to the postpartum exercises.

#2 - Why Postpartum Exercises Don't Work

This was an eye opening article.

I know it will anger a few people but it shows why traditional postpartum exercises, don't work.

==> Don't do Postpartum Exercises

That is it for today, have a great one.

Before I get to the answer. Let me take a step back and explain what PPS is.

PPS is the tightening of the piriformis muscle that can lead to hip pain or sciatica. The cause can be mechanical or chemical.

Let me go through a few exercises that could be leading to your PPS.

#1 - Crunches

Any kind of exercises that put flexion (forward bending) in the lower back can lead to greater stress on the piriformis muscle.

#2 - Single Leg Exercises

Exercises where you use one leg put greater stress on the piriformis muscle.

Single leg exercises are excellent exercises and important to do but what often happens is people will have poor control of their pelvis when it comes to side to side movements or rotation movements. Since their is poor control in the pelvis, the piriformis muscle does everything it can to help out and often times gets over worked and in time, injuried.

#3 - Running

This links up with exercise #2. If you have poor control of your pelvis, when you run, it will lead to greater stress on the piriformis.

One thing to remember is, fatigue when it relates to running. As we get tired, our running gets sloppy and we lose control of our pelvis so I piriformis will have to work harder to control things.

Sum It All Up

Single leg exercises and running are great things to do but you need to make sure you have good control of your pelvis, it you do not, it could lead to PPS.

When it comes to crunches, this is another reason why not to do them.

Unfortunately, there aren’t many trainers in the world that can say
they specialize in working with cancer patients (a field called Exercise Oncology).
Fortunately, one of the trainers knows of a product available that’s geared towards
recovering cancer patients that might help you out and give you the direction you’re
looking for. It’s called: How Exercise Can Help Beat Caner - The Ultimate Training Guide for Cancer Survivors'.

It is written by Dean Somerset, a kinesiologist in Edmonton, Alberta who has studied
cancer in laboratory settings, clinical settings, research trials, and has also trained dozens of cancer patients throughout their treatments.

He’s one of only a handful of fitness professionals in the world who can say that they have this type of training and experience. When you get the complete package, it has video seminars for both the professional and the layperson who may not have any
experience with fitness, so it can help anyone to increase their knowledge on the subject.

The workout program is structured to take into account your treatment schedule, and makes sure you’re working in a progressive manner to keep you as healthy as possible.

Before today, you didn’t know what to do. Now, you have hope that you will make it
through this alright.

Rick Kaselj, MS

P.S. - I will post part 2 of this on the blog. It is the trainer perspective of cancer.

Plus I will be back Wednesday with 3 things that a fitness professional should do with a client recovering from cancer and details on the cancer exercise guide.

--------------------------------------------------
Rick Kaselj – rkaselj@HealingThroughMovement.com
Registered Kinesiologist Specializing in Injury Rehabilitation
Surrey, BC, CanadaGet your “5 Myths about Core Training” Special Report – www.CoreStabilityoftheBack.com
-------------------------------------------------------
Visit http://www.HealingThroughMovement.com for more information on courses, services and publications.
