The Programmable Personal Trainer facility allows the user to customize any workout with instruction, time notifications and motivational messages in their own words. Up to 64 personalised messages can be input to kick in at precisely designated times to structure any exercise session. This is done using the simple and free software downloaded from the FX-Sport website. There is also the option to race against a virtual athlete. All workouts can be saved on the software to provide a library of training sessions for speedy uploading in the future.

A selection of voices are available for the messages. Male or female in a variety of languages and accents.

Fantastic quality music is produced by the integrated 8GB mp3 player which uses text to speech software to read and voice album names or playlists to the user, using the buttons on the right headphone. This way there is no need for a screen which can be impractical whilst training and no need to carry a secondary unit. The mp3 player uses mp3, wma and aac [m4a] formats. Bass and treble settings can also be customized via the software. Music transfer can be “Drag and Drop” or via the FX-Sport software to then also use the extra functionality.

3:3 is only found on the womens AURA suit for one good reason – Women have less dense and unique body muscular structure making the female swimmer more naturally buoyant. The extra flexibility of a thinner, lighter suit is obvious, but design work by Swim Smooth shows the reduced buoyancy helps you sit at the right level in the water and avoids that feeling of being too high and unbalanced. Emily Diamond is the U23 200/400m GB runner, represented the British University Team in the 200m, 4x100m and 4x400m at the World University Games in China last year and is part of the womens 4x100m senior relay squad. She has now decided to train for the 400m as well as the 200m, hoping that she can be selected for the 4x400m relay at the London Olympics. Sophie Hitchon is the current British Record Holder in the hammer throw and the first British women to break the 70m distance.

We are excited about the opportunity to work with Lucy and glad she has decided to work with us. Last season was the first that Lucy turned professional and she had a great year including no less than 10 first place finishes at a variety of middle distance triathlons, half marathons and other races.

This year has also got off to a flying start with a first place at the Ely Monster Duathlon and a first place at the British Elite Duathlon Championships.
