We had a wonderful Halloween trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Here’s the only family picture we got- you can see Emma dressed up as Harry Potter. She was SUPER excited to be Harry Potter and loved using her wand, which lights up pretty bright, as a flashlight.

Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Halloween.

My daughter Emma is so excited that Halloween is finally here. She was going to be Alice in Wonderland but changed her mind to Harry Potter just last night. It’s a good thing she has the wand, glasses, robe and tie. I’ll upload a picture of her once she’s all dressed up.

So my little “Harriet Potter” has been having a BLAST with the PS3 Lego Harry Potter game and as if that wasn’t enough, my In-Laws got her the coolest Lego set around. It’s the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle! This isn’t the ordinary “Lego” set that I grew up with. This Lego set has hinges and doors, flames on torches, stairs that swivel, and much, much more. It’s AMAZING!

My In-Laws had asked my husband what Emma wanted for her birthday and Mark sent them the link to the Lego Harry Potter Quidditch Match set that Emma had seen at Target and wanted. Then, my Mother-in-law went to the store and decided to SUPER UPGRADE her to the top of the line Harry Potter set. Needless to say, Emma was floored when she received it and hasn’t stopped talking about it nor playing with it. Today, she wanted to stay home from school to play with it. Obviously we didn’t let her but that’s HUGE for her considering she LOVES going to school.

I know most people aren’t going to go out and buy this set, being that the price tag is steep and all. But, just wanted to share it with you as we were lucky enough to receive it for a gift. Those Harry Potter fans should keep an eye out, perhaps it will go on sale during the holidays.

My baby is turning 5 today. She is SOOO excited about this age, and the fact that the dentist told her 2 days ago that her two bottom teeth were loose. I keep telling her she’s going to look like a jack-o-lantern but she doesn’t seem to mind:)

I received the Picaboo book in the mail yesterday and it’s all wrapped up and ready for Emma to open up. It came out REALLY nice. Can’t believe I was able to get it for just $9! It’s definitely a gift she’ll treasure for years.

My husband and Emma have been playing Lego Harry Potter on the PlayStation 3 for the last few days and Emma now thinks she IS Harry Potter. She’s been walking around the house with a dowel (as her wand), the manual from the game (as the marauders map), and wearing Harry’s glasses, which an owl delivered just yesterday (whole other story).

Above is a picture of her yesterday, on her way to Preschool. I’m so proud of her for being confident enough to wear the glasses and not worry about what others might say or think. She walked into class thinking she was Harry and continued to role play throughout the day. I think she’d make a great Harriet Potter. There’s an idea, J K Rowling:)
