I was given a very competitive exchange rate and C. I had the comfort knowing that a portion of my fee went to my designated charity.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Pretty Cool. &amp;nbsp;Send me an email if you are a merchant who want to provide this value to your customers/members/donors and want to earn money at the same time you provide them value and make them very happy.&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p&gt;After an exciting year representing one of the best 'searchandising' technologies out there a combination of events have made representation here unviable. &amp;nbsp;The biggest challenge is simply the small size of the market. &amp;nbsp;The second is the tremendous competition Australian online retailers face from overseas online offerings who have much more product, a much better and more mature online shopping experience and much lower prices due to a high valued Australian dollar and economies of scale. &amp;nbsp;The Australian retail sector have been enjoying high margins for a comparatively long time and I believe much of their situation could have been avoided with more forethought and planning. &amp;nbsp;I believe those that will survive will be those offering a genuinely unique offering or are able to find a way to compete with their off shore counterparts on price, range of product and shopping experience.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Key to this success is a necessary open mindedness required to innovation and technology. &amp;nbsp;Look at your competitors and the ones who are successful and find out what they are doing. &amp;nbsp;Carefully consider your buy vs build decisions as time will slip away from you.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS,sans-serif; color: #17365d;"&gt;Yay. &amp;nbsp;Signed up a new client in Australia on Fredhopper. &amp;nbsp; They are a major pure-play fashion retailer in the Women's fashion industry. &amp;nbsp;Will announce who they are once they go live in November. &amp;nbsp; They were previously using SLI Systems for search and Baynote for recomendations.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;They were seeking a more advanced overall capability in site search, and merchandising optimisation control. &amp;nbsp;With that they will get the highly tailorable suggest search function and the Fredhopper Recomendation Engine.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

I stumbled onto Fredhopper by accident.&amp;nbsp; My friend Mandy, (watch out for her new site &lt;a href="http://www.clubqt.com.au"&gt;www.clubqt.com.au&lt;/a&gt;) asked me to meet them when they were in town.&amp;nbsp; They were here to work with their new client Woolworths who are rolling out Fredhopper across their respective brands; Dick Smiths, Dan Murphys, and BigW.&amp;nbsp; I had no idea what to expect.&amp;nbsp; There was a lot of information to absorb in the hour or so I had with Frederique but then over time and a little research and further discussions I came to the realization that this technology was the right product, in the right industry, at the absolute right time.&amp;nbsp; Online retail is expecting double digit growth in Australia over the next 5 years.&amp;nbsp; With the NBN rolling out and people getting use to shopping on line it will only continue.&amp;nbsp; Heck, who wants to get into the car anyway.&amp;nbsp; It is such a hassle!!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS,sans-serif;"&gt;So, here I am representing Fredhopper in Asia Pacific.&amp;nbsp; My focus now is on Australia and New Zealand but I am sure there will be opportunities in Asia.&amp;nbsp; Have a look at the website and the sort of clients using the platform.&amp;nbsp; Actually, I will say this is more of an enhancement plugin for an ecommerce platform.&amp;nbsp; 	HI Everyone,  sorry been busy lately.  Had some recent exposure to an internationally renown SEO provider.  They have a pedigree of clients and have delivered them great results.  However, their Australian website does not rank well at all for the terms “SEO”  and “search engine optimisation” .  Upon further discussions with them they have very good reasons for that but they have optmised their site for other terms which rank highly.
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS,sans-serif;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS,sans-serif;"&gt;Hence as I have said before, do not judge an SEO provider by their personal ranking alone.  You could be missing out on a great service.  Look at the results of their clients and testimonials.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Big growth expected for Search and Online Advertising</title>

      <title>Duplicate content and SEO rankings</title>

	&lt;p&gt;You need to be aware of duplicate content and how it may negatively impact your SEO rankings.  I was told a story the other day of an orgnisation who were applying a significant amount of resources to improving their organic rankings but were not making any progress.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;They were perplexed to say the least.  Finally it occurred to them to do a check to see if there were any duplications of their website content in other locations.  Why? Because Google may view the duplication as an attempt to manipulate rankings and deceive users and will therefore adjust the ranking and indexing of the sites involved.  So, the organization in question had an employee that was cutting and pasting articles and press releases into his blog that was also on the website.  Through a facility at &lt;a href="http://www.copyscape.com"&gt;www.copyscape.com&lt;/a&gt; they were able to find that content and have the blog removed and presto – improvement in rankings.  You cannot say for sure if that was the exact cause but you should be mindful of it.&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p&gt;Hi. I have been looking for some additional evidence to support the value that blogging has on SEO rankings.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There is no question that content that relates to your business and area of value can influence your rankings but I came across this interview with Matt Cutts, the key man responsible for designing their search algorithm. Have a listen to what he has to say.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I discovered this interview on youtube while washing the dishes at night. Someone has to do them and Mummy won't have a bar of it after managing three young children all day.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Our computer is positioned in such a way that I can watch while undertaking my domestic obligations and its one of those rare times where I can browse and see what information is out there get up to speed or at least keep learning. You should try it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Anyhoodle, you may also be interested to know that a survey run in January of this year by Lee Odden showed that when a selection of marketers were asked to what degree they are using blogs to support their SEO initatives 95% indicated it was very much part of their SEO efforts. 87.4% of respondents "successfully increased measurable SEO objectives as a direct result of blogging".&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Choosing an SEO provider - the basic truth</title>

	&lt;p&gt;Hi, I am making a habit of looking at one or two newsletters I receive every day regarding SEO and related topics to stay up to date.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As you may know there is a lot of information out there about SEO and online marketing. A lot.  And it is easy to get distracted and drown in information.   But there are two fundamentals points you should consider for all SEO providers – check the results they are getting for their clients, and make sure they are doing things legally according to SEO rules e.g. google SEO terms and conditions .&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So, look for testimonials, get  a list of their clients and check their rankings, and look at the provider's SEO process and sample reports that you would receive from them.  Make sure they are transparent about their activity they perform on your behalf. (e.g. establishing back links) .  You need to be clear on what they are doing and how well you are progressing against the original benchmarks that were taken when the SEO process commenced.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Hello All!  Who is FiveO and what am I about?</title>

&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #000000;"&gt; Firstly, FiveO equates to the five Olsens that make up my family and my reason for existence.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color: #000000;"&gt;They also to extend to my cat, dog, and five fish (coincidence).  They are part of the family too.  When deciding on a name I wanted something that best represented me and my motivations.  I get up in the morning for my family, work hard for my family, get stressed for my family. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color: #000000;"&gt;So, his is a quick post to start the ball rolling.  Last year I sort of fell into the world of on-line marketing and search solutions.    Since then I have plunged into a range of different business but all requiring the same thing - improvement in the use of their website and the Internet to help grow their business and grow their brand. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color: #000000;"&gt; It is remarkable how much misinformation there is out there.  It is remarkable how many people have an opinion about who uses the Internet and what it might contribute.  I have learned that SEO and SEM is decidedly quantitative in performance measurement so we know where people are coming from, when, and what they did on your website!  It is also clear to me that the growth of the Internet and search engines as the primary source for ANYTHING will not falter.  Need an SEO provider?  Need a plumber? Use the net.  Family history?  Use the net?  Grandfather's regiment in the military? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color: #000000;"&gt;It goes on.  Nothing new. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color: #000000;"&gt; I am now, through the help of a national provider, offering search engine optimisation solutions that are making businesses more visible and improving their brand and their credibility.  I love to see the effects on business when that happens.   I am also helping agencies deliver the service under their own name allowing them to add that value on professionally without little extra effort.  Enough for now.   regards,  Andrew. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
