Whenever I see one of these it reminds me of Rachel Zoe always trying on those amazing Chanel jackets (and keeping most of them). I love how you can fashion-up anything with one, whether it's just with a pair of skinny jeans or shorts, or over a pretty dress. I hope some chain stores bring them out for this winter so I can get my hands on one. I'm thinking Forever New may be the place to go.

When I visited Mossman clothing for the first time, the dress that caught my eye immediately was this one. The detail at the top is so intriguing and it's the style of dress I like most, fitted at the top with a full skirt. Love it.

My sister and I ran down to the beach one morning to get some photos. It's been cloudy/rainy most of the week so when we woke up this particular morning to see a blue sky and the sun rising, we made a break for it.

This orange piece of goodness is from the wonderful Mossman Clothing.

Velvety to the touch with wooden beading at the hem, it's got a bit of a luxe boho vibe to it. I love the detail at the top, and if I had chunky tribal accessories that's what I'd pair it with.

Can't get over these leopard loafers. I was eyeing them off for so long online, so when I saw them on my after-work stroll through Rubi Shoes I had to pounce.

So I was doing my annual swimsuit shop on Surfstitch the other day and as I searched for the perfect one I realised every piece I clicked on happened to be from a label I'd never heard of before called Tallow.

Tallow's summer collection is eye-catching with busy prints and detail. The swimwear showcases a mixture of strong yet feminine geometric prints with pastels and bright pops of colour. Their clothing combines intriguing cut-out designs along with tribal crochet and neckline detailing.

Above are some of my favourite pieces. That orange dress is a killer and as I'm after an interesting one-piece this summer, I'd go for any of these. The images above are taken from their amazing BLOG which if you're a surf-nut you'll fall in love.

Just a few pics I've been saving lately. I love that outfit Jess Hart is wearing - tee, bodycon skirt, shades, watch and converse shoes. I'm not so much into bodycon anything but I have a black skirt from Dotti which is kind of inbetween and it's an amazing staple piece to add all the bits Jess is wearing above.

Also, if anyone can tell me where that ribs tee is from I'd buy it in a second.

Leigh Lezark

Leigh Lezark is a DJ with amaaazing style, so influential that she's produced the runway music for shows such as Chanel and Calvin Klein. I love that she has that dark, moody side to her and can still pull off a Chanel bag in a mysterious kind of way.

Looking at the date this morning seeing 1/1/2012 made me happy. It means a new start, a new journey, and a new way of being. I went on a full on rampage today and pulled everything out of my cupboards, packing four giant bags of clothes to send onto my sisters. Usually I pass on about a bag every two months but I realised I just had way too much and really couldn't see what I had anymore, hence the cleanout. I still have too many clothes that I never wear but think "I'll keep that just in case". Absolute clothes hoarder.

Above are my last few buys for 2011. Russh mag, Elie Saab perfume, tortoise shell sunglasses, Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick, Oyster mag, thin silver rings, Sportsgirl wash off body bronzer, gold watch, gold bangle & bracelets, gold heart charm necklace, rainbow hair clip, Sportsgirl silver chain necklace and an aztec tube skirt.

That body bronzer is amazing. Fake tan freaks me out (fear of turning orange and/or streaks) so the fact that if I stuff a layer of this up I can just wash it off and start over. Buy it! $10 at Sportsgirl.

The shades, hair clip, heart necklace and gold bracelets are from Love Couture, a shop that opened not long ago at Chatswood Westfield. It's an accessories gold-mine that has affordable, good quality replicas of anything popular/trendy. Every time I go in there I buy a new pair of sunglasses ($12.95). Bad habit. Best shop.

I am a self-confessed, tee obsessed, t-shirt wearer. I pretty much have a different tee for every day of the month. Another one I added to my ever-expanding collection recently is from Fine and Sunny. This label produces a great range of insanely comfortable surf-style tees that are awesome for summer.

Life Doesn't Stop For Anyone

Summer is my favourite season of the year. Ice cream, ice blocks, iced coffees and any other iced treat/beverage is all I love to consume.

Just got back from 2 weeks home in Wagga. Now working for a couple of weeks then off to the coast for another little holiday. Market HQ is moving to a new office which is exciting. I always like to move around every now and then... experiencing new "regular" things like the people you see every day and the coffee shop you visit every morning. Days are more exciting when you're somewhere new.

Thankyou Door121 for introducing me to The Shanti Butterfly who make a simple summer dress look like a dream. You have to get on their website and have a look at the other dresses they have as I can assure you that you'll want one.. This dress is from their Angel Heart Summer 11/12 collection and also comes in a pastel pink colour. As soon as I put it on I was in love. So so so so pretty.

Love the splashes of purple in this Amanda Garrett top. It's called "Butterfly Bedtime". I've always been drawn to anything butterfly as that's what my name means :)
Out of crazy Sydney and back in Wagga for a couple of weeks. It's Christmas week so that means driving around in search of Christmas lights, carol watching and last minute present shopping. I always do it at the last minute... never learn.
