Tie Dye Toes

This is such a fun look that is pretty easy. I like to use bold rainbow colors because it makes it more obvious you are going for a tie dye look. Plus it is just so colorful and fun. WARNING: I love fast drying colors normally but in this case they are a pain, because you want the wet colors to drag into each other and I am just not that fast. The toothpick don't have to be the flat kind that is just what I had.

Just start striping on the colors. They don't have to be perfect and just use a Q-tip to remove what gets on your skin.

Now the fun part,. Take a toothpick and drag it through the colors . I suggest changing your toothpick or wiping it between strokes because the last color will get in your first color. eg. I got some blue in my red.

The end result is fun toes that can remind us of warmer weather.

Make Your Pedicure Last Longer

One thing I love about pedicures, is they last way longer than a manicure. Unfortunately all good things come to an end and for me the start of the end is when I can see at the base of my pedicure along the cuticles chipping and a grow out line. Why can't the end of one thing be the start of something new.

First I start with french tip polish guides (these are Nailene brand purchased at Walmart), then I covered just what I wanted left behind of my pedicure (btw I used konad stamping plates to create original look found at www.konadnailart.com they are also available at www.amazon.com )

Next to compliament the patern I used black nail polish and painted below the polish guides. I was very pleased with the look. I feel like I got a whole new look that honestly I think I like even better and was quicker than redoing all my nails. (sorry about the glar in the photo)

The Flash Toenails

I love all the comic book movies so I decided to do a comic toenail design. For this I used a red base which even when it was dry made my white circle design on top soak up the color and turn it pink, so be careful of that. Then after doing a white circle and letting it dry; I used a skinny brush nail polish to free hand a lightening bolt. The whole thing looked kinda messy until I used a black nail polish pen to outline it all.

Tillamook Cheese Factory

This design is dedicated to the spur of the moment trip my family decided to go on to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Super fun trip that ended up only being a day because we didn't book a hotel and there was no vacancy on the entire Oregon coast. To do this design I started with a white base and then when it was dry, used a black nail polish brush and made blobs. Use a que tip soaked in nail polish remover to clean the edges and you are good to go.

This is another black and white design that is easy to do. Again start with a white base. Then when it is completely dry use a nail polish pen to make a grid design. Then fill in the appropriate boxes. It is just like doodling on your note books in high school.

Black and White Toes

This is one of my favorite ways to do my toes. All you do is paint your toes white, which you will probably want to do more than one coat so it wont be streaky. Then when it is totally dry; use scotch tape to make a diagonal line. To get the best results use tape that is cloudy in appearance and not completely clear. The clear stuff seems to stick more. Then just paint the top black. I peel the tape away when the black is still wet. Then you are left with a nice diagonal.

Poker Toes

Ralph and I spent a few hours playing poker. Our lil man kept helping Ralph by giving him extra cards he would swipe. I used a white nail polish and a nail polish black pens. Those are amazing you can do anything with them. I think everyone should have a black and a white one.

Lady Bug Toes

I thought I would do a lady bug design in loving memory of me and my husband, Ralph's first pet. Her name was Squeeze and she was a good lil lady bug. I used a metalic red (you can't see very well in the photo) and black nail polish.

Bright Colors

So lately I have been seeing really cute bright shoes and instead of buying a few pair I tried to get my bright color fix in by painting my toes with a bright french manicure.

Rainbow Toes

This design was inspired by playing with my one year old on a sunny day. He discovered that a cd he was playing with made a rainbow when it hit the sun light. I first tried to get the lines straight using scotch tape but it was taking too long so I free handed the stripes using a skinny brush nail polish that I got at the dollar store. I reused the brush by cleaning it each color with nail polish remover.
