Though to go to Koh Yao Noi - Koh Yao Yai is possible by boat from Kribi and Phang Nga , it is more convenient , safer, economical and easier via Phuket with airport and the pier near the bus terminal to get to the islands.

Long Boat Racing Pattaya 2010

Pattaya is a tourist city with beautiful sights of many together. It also supports various festivals many conveniently close to Bangkok.
Pattaya Traditional Long Boat Race Festival will be held at the Mabprachan Lake. Reservoir over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of November.
The event,the Pattaya Longboat Racing competition with the Princess Sirindhorn Trophy as the main incentive, although the 500,000 baht in prize money might also be of some interest. There will be competitors from seven countries including Burma, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and of course Thailand
There will also be a special Tak Raw and big drum (or, as it is known in Thai klong yao) competition. Entry for spectators will be free.
The Longboat competition is organized by Pattaya City Hall, Nongprue Municipality and the Pong Sub-District Administration.

The Ko Lae boat (or 'yo kong' in the local dialect) are small fishing boats commonly seen in the fishing villages of southern Thailand. especially around Narathiwat province. The Ko Lae and long boat races on the Bang Nara River have been organized annually in Narathiwat Province since 1976 in honour of Their Majesties the King and Gueen and members of the Royal Family during their visits to the South. These colourful boat races held around The royal Pavilion near the estuary of the Bang Nara River are now one of the main attractions of the province.
Vessels particpating in these boat races must be Ko Lae boats that are built the traditional way with twowoden planks. The sides of the boats are paintd and bright colours and feature my thical characters from ancient folklore such as Naga,the dragon, Hanuman, the monkey and singha, the lion.
Traditional boat races have inpired a greater interest and appreciation in folk expertise and indigenous skills. this has led to the growth of a collage industry in the production of hand - cralted miniature the Ko Lae boat. Though renewed interest, an ancient folk art and culture is preserved.

The international and traditional long-boat races in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, the Thai-lao traditional long-boat races held on the Mekong River in the northeastern provinces of Nong Khai .Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan, the Pichit and Nan long-boat races in northern Thailand .
Thailand and the Ko lae boat races held in the southern provinces are among the country's most spectacular events.These colourful regattas depict a way of life that varies from community to comunity and are of great cultural interest as they offer insight into local traditions.
The traditional log boat races originated from an elaborate water-borne procession called "Thod Kathin" ceremoney, a Buddhish ritual designated one of the 12 official royal ceremonies at which the king presides. the practice was subsequently adopted by common folk and has been observed throughout the four eras of Thai history namely Sukhothai, Ayutthaya, Thonburi and Rattanakosin.
During the rainny season from September to December, residents of traditional village communities take a break from their farming routine and engage in merit-making activities. New monk robes and other sacred offerings are conveyed to temples along the river in traditional long boats and presented to the monks. Once the oferings have been made, the strengthen ties within the local community. The long-boat races have remained a core element of these celebrations.

The Bhumibol Bridge

The Bhumibol Bridge, also known as the Industrial Ring Road Bridge is part of the 13 km long Industrial Ring Road connecting southern Bangkok with Samut Prakan Province. The bridge crosses the Chao Phraya River twice, with two striking cable-stayed spans of lengths of 702 m and 582 m supported by two diamond-shaped pylons 173 m and 164 m high. Where the two spans meet, another road rises to join them at a free-flowing interchange suspended 50 metres above the ground.

Bhumibol Bridge At Night

The bridge opened for traffic on 20 September 2006, before the official opening date of 5 December 2006. It is part of the Bangkok Industrial Ring Road, a royal scheme initiated by King Bhumibol Adulyadej that aims to solve traffic problems within Bangkok and surrounding areas, especially the industrial area around Khlong Toei Port, Southern Bangkok and Samut Prakan Province.

According to tradition, all the bridges over the Chao Phraya in Bangkok are named after a member of the Royal Family. In October 2009, it was announced that both bridges would be named after King Bhumibol Adulyadej, with the northern bridge officially named "Bhumibol 1 Bridge" and the southern bridge "Bhumibol 2 Bridge".The unofficial name "Mega Bridge" was also widely used.

Chao Phraya River

An elaborate network of canals known as khlongs gave Bangkok the nickname "Venice of the East" at a time when most transportation was by boat. Today, nearly all of the canals have been filled in and converted into streets. While many khlongs still exist with people living along them and markets often being operated along the banks, most are severely polluted. A notable khlong market is the floating market in Taling Chan district. Through downtown Bangkok runs the Khlong Saen Saeb, which has a canal boat service. The wide river Chao Phraya, flowing through the city, has several cross-river ferries and the Chao Phraya Express Boat with as many as thirty stops along the both banks extending as far as the northern suburb of Nonthaburi.

Two Oceanic Provinces:Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram

The similarities between Samut Sakhon and Samut Saongkhram are bordering the sea and having the main river flowing into Golf of Thailand.The main rivers of these 2 provinces are important routes to International trade and transportation.In addition,the towns of these provinces are located around the river.
Tha Chin River is a 315 km. long branch of Chao Phraya River,to Gulf of Thailand.This river branch has several names according to the place that the river flowing through.For examples.the river that flows through Supanburi province was named "Supanburi River" and then called "Tha Chin River"when it flows through Samut Sakhon.
Mae Klong River is around 140 km.long .It originates inthe mountain of Um Phang district,Tak province and flows into Gulf of Thailand.By the way,it has several names.It flows though Chong Sadao,Nong Bua,Tha Makham,so called "Kwae Yai River" and Kwae Noi River"

Now Lin Ping weight 6,600g, length 63 cm, today Lin Ping milked at 7.00 am so while we check up Lin Ping ‘s health Lin Ping does not want to milk from Lin Hui.
Lin Ping can hear and respond very well especially a voice from the camera. Lin Ping was bark more often when she smells something unused or when we touch her ears and nose which she does not like. In a period of 3-6 month is a period of crawling and walking. Now Lin Ping used her back legs very well. She still has 2 teeth
Lin Hui is healthy, amount of feed intake is 12 kg per day, Lin Hui walked in exhibit area to exercise 2 times per day and take time about 15 minutes. We were check on Lin Hui’s nipples to see any wound from Lin Ping but none.
We will check Lin Ping’s health again on August 31st 2009.

On Saturday and Sunday at Mahachi Fresh Market,there are a number of people going about their activities.Almost came from Bangkok including me.I love to visit this place as there are plenty of delicious food and seafood.

Mahachai fresh market is the centre of commerce and transpot of Samut Sakhon.The market is famous for fresh seafood in wholesale and retail prices.Besides,Tourists can take a passenger boat or hire a boat to cruise along Khok Kham canel.
Furthermore,the market was also known in another name "Yok Krajad Market"since the vanders had to carry their products in the basket far from the railway when the train was caming.

It has many ways to travel.Wat Sapan Floating Market, on the other hand, is the smallest of the three. Located within the compound of an ancient Buddhist temple on the banks of Bang Noi Canal Talingchon.

Klongsuan Market has existed on the banks of Prawetburirum canal’s for over 100 years, and has roots dating back to the reign of King Rama V. Walking through the market you can see and feel the rural way of life of olden Thailand. Klongsuan Market offers not only the nostalgic ambience of Thailand’s past, but also charming wooden shop houses selling vintage items and tasty local foods. The market was once an important meeting point for villagers and people in the area because it was home to the community’s only pier (to catch a boat to Bangkok). Oldfashioned style caf?s still serve freshly-brewed O-Liang, a zesty, cool Thai version of espresso. Straddling two provinces (Chachoengsao and Samut Prakan), Klongsuan Market is probably the longest (over one kilometer in length) market by a canal in Thailand. About 20 kilometers from Suvarnabhumi Airport heading towards Chonburi on the "Motorway" route. Follow the well-designated signs on the left. At the junction, turn right along On Nutch-Chachoengsao road for around 15 kms.and Klongsuan Market is located on the left.

Situated on the banks of Prawetburirom Canal, Khlong Suan Market lies in two provinces: Tambon Thepparat, Amphoe Ban Pho, Chacoengsao Province and Tambon Khlong Suan, Amphoe Bang Bo, Samut Prakan Province. This traditional market dates back to the reign of King Rama V. In the past, the market was most conveniently accessible by boat. There was only one passenger boat service from Chachoengsao to Bangkok, serviced by Nai Loet (Mr. Loet). The boat picked up passengers at Chachoengsao, ran past Khlong Suan Market, and eventually arrived at Pratu Nam (Water Gate) in Bangkok.

Today, the cub weight 1,310g (increase for 30g), length 30cm. Now, temperature in incubator is 33 Celsius and the cub can stay in incubator without crying. We will separate the cub again this afternoon at 2.30pm.

Now, the cub is weight 1,279g (increase for 125g), length 30cm. The cub was sleep very well in incubator and was not find nipples that mean the cub might be milk from Linhui completely. Today, we started seeing the cub’s nipple, black fur are more clearly.

TV cameras from all major channels focused on the tiny tot made all the more famous because it was conceived by artificial insemination and marked a first for the Thai veterinarian team. Thailand joins the US and Japan as the only countries to breed pandas in captivity. Born 27 May, after six years of almost comical efforts to get the female panda pregnant, the birth surprised even zoo officials. It turned out to be the month’s good new story rising above the usual negative news that swamps TV viewers. It was all the more fascinating in the context of past efforts by zoo officials to get the two Chinese pandas to mate naturally. Zoo keepers arranged a mock wedding and even showed them porn movies of other pandas mating. It was a dismal failure, until medical science came to the rescue. Overnight, the baby was a world celebrity and the only sad note was news that within two years the baby panda would have to return to its homeland. The panda family is the biggest draw at Chiang Mai Zoo, earning a treasure chest in gate fees that have reached an astronomical figure. You would have to be a football star to attract a fan club of the size the panda family has drawn to the zoo. Tourists and residents flock to this northern zoo to watch these rare creatures in their posh quarters. Leading the family’s admirers, Thailand’s Prime Minister, Abhisit Vejjaijiva, says he will check out if China might be prepared to relax regulations and allow the baby to stay beyond the two years stated in the loan contract. If successful, the baby could possibly remain with mum and dad until their stay in Thailand concludes in another four years. While sensitive talks between PMs unfold the zoo is planning to celebrate the panda’s birth in style. Thousands of visitors are expected to visit the zoo just to see this tiny tot a rare site for travellers interested in these cute and iconic creatures. Since the grown-up pandas arrived, the zoo’s gate rose to around 3,000 visitors on a weekend. But there is a good deal more to see at this zoo. It is credited with being probably the best in the country and even has a night safari zoo. There are various activities arranged by the zoo to attract visitors. This month, 12 to 21 June the zoo hosts the World Animal Art and Photo Gallery, that encourages visitors and residents to enter their favourite animal photos in a contest. They have to depict animals smiling, not an easy task if the subject is a crocodile.
