As you may have noticed from my recent tweets on Twitter, I announced the launch of a new mini blog that will be taking over this very soon.

All I need to do is change the link on all HTML pages when I get my new monitor tomorrow. So, this has been a ball having this blog, but it’s been running on the older WP for a while and it would have been a complete pain in the arse to upgrade, so JM will do just fine.

Oh and subscribe to the new blogs feed please!

I tweet a lot about new promotions and deals happening here at Flockey. Which is always a good thing.

I also tweet a lot about new projects & project collaborations with other tweeters or people.

Recently at university I have been working on various things more graphical. Like banners, posters etc and just being more creative in Photoshop and i’ve really missed doing that sorta work. Earlier I designed a poster representing Barack Obamas takeover as president of the USA. This is along the lines of the work that I have been doing in uni. I was inspired by my good friend Bryan Le who is documenting his stages of designing his Obama poster- check his blog out.

Oh and check out these simply stunning Obama posters if you haven’t already.

Let me know what you think of the banner, since finishing up in Photoshop for the night I have thought of some other things to add- so i’ve written them down and i’ll get onto it tomorrow again!

Hi everyone, this is a brief post to say to you all what a pleasure it is going into the new year and actually still having this website as my portfolio! I wouldn’t have done it if it weren’t for you loyal clients! Now that FlockABuck has been up for a while, it’s time to recap and get your thoughts! Let me know what you thought of the idea, should I keep it going? If you have any other suggestions, please let me know via the comments section.

Hello everyone, I am glad to announce yet again another project of mine. Introducing Twitter Backgrounds. TwitterBGs is a website were you can come and get your Twitter profile spiced up and looking sexy. I will obviously be designing the backgrounds and if the work load gets too much I will be bringing in a few friends to help design.

A new year, a fresh start.

Hello everyone this is a little post to list some of the things that I am aiming for personally for the new year of 2009. I will also list below, the goals I have for online and new plans I have for Flockey.

Personal

Sign up for the local Gym
Take up a sport (boxing probably)
Grow my hair (again)
Eat more healthier, less Irn Bru & more water!
Start coding XHTML/CSS
Pass my second year @ University
Go camping
Go to Canada
Get a part time job at a design studio either in Glasgow or somewhere else.

Online:

Build up a strong network
Continue to grow Flockey
Version 2 of FWD (redesign)
Start earning at least £1k a month through freelancing and revenue streams on my projects
Make vBExpress live
Start a video blog show
Collaborate with a friend on a project

I guess thats it. I’ll come back next year and see if I’ve managed to accomplish my 2009 goals!
