Florida Tile, an American subsidiary of leading Italian tile manufacturer Panariagroup Industrie Ceramiche, has an opportunity at our corporate office in Lexington, KY for a qualified AS400 System Administrator to administer our AS400.
This position will report to the Vice President, Information Technology and will call for an individual who desires responsibility; can multi-task; likes to interface with the user base; feels ownership of the technical environment; and can perform without constant supervision. 

The iSeries Systems Administrator will provide the highest level of system support, infrastructure monitoring, and architecture design. The selected candidate will perform the following:
*	Maintain iSeries hardware, OS/400, Software, PTF's, and Robot schedules. 
*	Support all iSeries hardware upgrades, OS upgrades, system peripheral software installations/upgrades, system configurations, iSeries and application security for the production and development applications on separate LPARS.
*	Maintenance of the iSeries Infrastructure by reviewing, installing and applying testing PTFs
*	Review iSeries security policies and procedures for the Operating System and Third Party software to ensure conformance with security policies.
*	Apply iSeries security models to Third Party application software ensuring proper authorization and ownership of objects. Setup of authorization lists, group profiles, and user profiles on the iSeries.
*	Setup and monitor memory allocation, shared pools, subsystems, disk usage, CPU usage, devices, jobques, etc.
*	Develop comprehensive compliance and sustainability processes and procedure for all Open Systems.
*	Manage, review, and make recommendations on attached iSeries peripheral hardware.
*	Manage and maintain associated documentation. 
*	Ensure licensing compliance for the Operating System, License Products and Third Party software.
*	Systems support and administration in a heterogeneous environment including Intel/Windows servers.
*	iSeries systems administration, operations, security and TCP/IP. 
*	I/6/OS operating system maintenance (upgrades, Puffs, etc.).
*	Systems management software maintenance (upgrade, patch management, etc.).
*	iSeries logical partitioning (LPARS). 
*	HMC.
*	RPG and CL Development and Object Experience.

In addition to the performance of the job responsibilities mentioned above, this position may be required to perform supportive functions, to be determined by the supervisor based on the particular requirements of the operation. This person will provide technical support in the areas of system security, networking, TCP/IP, SAN, performance tuning and capacity planning, work management, job scheduling, message management and backup and recovery.

*	At least 5 years of relevant experience.
*	Ability to be on-call 24/7 every other month for a week at a time.

DUTIES

* Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and testing electrical and mechanical equipment; designing and constructing circuits and controls for new equipment; estimating materials.
* Installs and maintains electrical and mechanical equipment, including disconnecting devices, conduits, wiring, overload protection devices, gear boxes, chains, hydraulic valves, electric and mechanical motors.
* Troubleshoots, repairs and test A.C. and D.C. control circuits, microprocessor and logic gate circuits, times sequence circuits and programmable controllers.
* Maintains all plant electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
* Maintains air compressors, air conditioners, hoists and product handling equipment.
* Maintains plant lighting and temperature control system.
* Practices correct safety procedures.
* Performs related tasks as required.


QUALIFICATIONS

Thorough knowledge of the theory of logic / gate circuitry, microprocessor controllers and control sequence / timing devices; thorough knowledge of federal, state and local electrical codes as applies to industrial plant operations; general knowledge of methods for fabrication or modification of new or existing equipment; general knowledge of press machine functions; general knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems; skill in welding and the use of a cutting torch; skill in the use and care of tools of the trade; ability to read and understand electrical and electronic test equipment; ability to read and understand mechanical assembly and layout drawings; ability to work overtime hours as needed, and accept night and weekend call - in for emergency work; ability to follow oral and written directions.
