There are many finer things in life, things that only the rich and famous get to experience. For most of us, we miss out on the ‘best’ experiences in life due to lack of money or popularity. I used to think that a charter flight was a luxury that I, as a common person, would have to do without and simply be left wondering about. That isn’t the case. I recently began taking a charter flight to different functions and for trips, and I’ve learned that they are just as great as I had always imagined and that they are reasonable even for the common man.

I will be honest, I have always had opinions about people who were wealthy enough to have a charter flight to any vacation or event of their choice without thinking twice about it. Recently, however, a friend of mine booked a charter flight for six of our friends who were wanting to get away to the mountains for a long weekend. I thought she was crazy when she said that she had gotten a reasonable deal on a charter flight.

There are many types of charter flights I have learned, and they are not all as glamorous as I onced imagined. For example, I have friends who vacation in Mexico each year and they use a charter flight each time. For them, a charter flight simply means a non-stop flight on an airline that isn’t a mainstream big name that we often hear about. They do not have to mess with layovers at random airlines, but their charter flight goes directly from their hometown airport to the airport at their destination city.

Finding a charter flight doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, it can be quite easy. Get ahold of a travel agent and see what they have to say about booking a charter flight, or get online and see what you can learn about the benefits of a charter flight. In my opinion, they are much easier than regular commercial flights and they are much more comfortable as well.

A charter flight is in fact one of life’s finer things. It is not, however, reserved only for the rich and famous. You and almost everyone you know could benefit by learning the truth about a charter flight and then booking one for your next trip or vacation. I assure you that you’ll be glad you did. And you may never go back to regular commercial flights.

Are you interested in vacationing in Hawaii? If you are, you will want to take the time to examine Hawaii beach accommodations. Hawaii beach accommodations come highly rated and recommended. Even with hearing that vacationing along the beach is recommended, you may be looking for more proof. For your convenience, six reasons why you should you should give beach arrangements a close look for your next Hawaii trip are outlined below.

1 Your Options

Your options are, perhaps, the greatest reason you should stay along the beach. Did you know that Hawaii beach accommodations come in a number of different formats? They do. For example, you can book at stay at a beachfront vacation resort, a Hawaii beach front cottage, a beachfront vacation home, a beach front vacation villa, a beachfront condo rental, and a beachfront apartment rental. This means no matter what your needs, in terms of vacation rental type and size, you should be able to find accommodations along the beach that are perfect for you!

2 The Ocean View

As you likely already know, Hawaii beach rentals provide you with a front row seat of the ocean. This view is absolutely breathtaking. In fact, it is an experience that you will likely never forget. Many tourists come to Hawaii just for the beautiful beaches. If you are one of those vacationers, how would you feel waking up to that beauty each and everyday? As previously stated, it is an experience that you will likely never forget.

3 Affordable For What You Receive

For the most part, you will find that Hawaii beach front rentals are more than affordable for what you receive. This is just another one of the many reasons why you should give Hawaii beach rentals a close look. Yes, you will find some Hawaii beach front rentals, like a Hawaii beach house, that is out of your price range, but with a little bit of research, you should be able to find affordable accommodations.

In keeping with the cost of Hawaii beach accommodations, it is also important to remember what you are receiving. Many say that the cost of a Hawaii beach home or another beach front rental is more than worth it. This is particularly true for those who are visiting Hawaii for the first time.

4 A Great Experience for Everyone

Hawaii beach accommodations make for a great experience for everyone. Hawaii beach front rentals are perfect for romantic getaways. The beach and the view helps to create a romantic environment, which is perfect for traditional romantic getaways and honeymoons. With that in mind, it is also important to mention that Hawaii beach front rentals, like Hawaii beach homes, are perfect for family vacations as well. You can give your child or children the experience of a lifetime. If they are never able to visit Hawaii again, you can know that you gave them that chance and not just any chance, a front row seat!

5 Conveniently Located to the Beach

If you are interested in spending your Hawaii vacation participating in beach related activities, like swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, boating, fishing, or surfing, you may enjoy the convenience of Hawaii beach accommodations. These accommodations get you right next to the ocean and many of the activities it holds. When you rent a Hawaii beach front home or another beachfront rental, you may find yourself traveling less to your destination. This can give you more time to enjoy yourself and the activities that you love.

6 Great for Pictures

When on your next Hawaii vacation, there is a good chance that you will bring a camera or even a camcorder with you. After all, you may want to have long lasting memories of your dream vacation. That is another one of the many reasons you should at least examine booking a stay at a beachfront rental. Hawaii and its beaches are picture perfect. These pictures are not only ones that you can use for yourself and your own personal pleasure, but they are pictures that can be shown off, with great pride, to your friends and family, for years to come.

The above mentioned reasons are just a few of the many reasons why you should at least consider staying along the beach for your next Hawaii vacation. As a reminder, Hawaii beach accommodations come in a number of different formats, including Hawaii beach front homes. Also, Hawaii is filled with beach rentals; therefore, no matter which Hawaiian Island you choose to visit, you should be able to find a rental that is perfect for your vacation needs.

Tuscany has long been a favourite destination for anyone looking for an authentic Italian experience.

Where is it?

Tuscany is a large area in central Italy that stretches to the Mediterranean coast. It is divided into ten provinces, which include some of Italys most beautiful towns and cities; Florence, Siena and Pisa.

Where can I stay?

Many people choose to stay in villas when they visit Tuscany, preferring the independence of self-catering to the routine of a hotel. The next time you consider visiting Tuscany, take a look at the benefits of a boutique hotel. Giving you the comfort and service of a regular hotel, but with a home-from-home atmosphere and service that anticipates your every need, you can come and go as you please without having to worry about making beds or shopping for food. In fact, when you stay at a boutique hotel, all you have to think about is where your next luxury is coming from.

Try the JK Palace in Florence for a taste of city boutique. With only 20 rooms, its like having your own home in the Piazza Santa Maria Novella and its the perfect place to return to after a hard day sightseeing. Boutique doesnt always mean tiny – for a hotel thats a magnificent rural retreat, the Villa Mangiacane is set in 300 hectares of olive groves, vineyard and forest and the view from the pool means that youll be hard-pressed to leave the villa at all.

What can I see?

Take a tour to the vineyards and sample classic Tuscan wines such as Chianti and Montepulciano, or visit olive groves and buy pressed olive oil to take home. Tuscany, its towns and cities are full of beautiful Renaissance architecture and the art here rivals that of Venice and Rome. If youre not staying in Florence, then you should certainly take the time to visit the city during your stay. A busy, chic city, full of amazing architecture, priceless art, great shopping and fantastic dining, Florence is captivating and many visitors return here for short breaks or special events. Tuscany is full of contrasts and you could holiday here for several years in a row without visiting the same place twice.

How do I get around?

How you choose to travel in Tuscany largely depends on where youre staying. If youve chosen a city location, then it will be easier for you to use public transport or just walk to get around, as hiring a car may be expensive and the roads too busy for stress-free driving. On the other hand, if youve chosen a boutique hotel in a rural location, you should think about hiring a car so that you can travel round the countryside or take a day-trip to one of the cities. The Italian public transport system is well-used by locals, and you can travel between cities and towns on the train or on buses, which give you the opportunity to gaze at the glorious countryside.

Malaga

Malaga is the capital city of the Costa del Sol, it is also one of the provinces of Andalusia, a port city and also the location for the international airport which is the largest airport in Spain.

The population of Malaga and the surrounding area is estimated at over 1,000,000 and this number swells in the summer with the influx of visitors. Malaga is surrounded by mountains and there are two rivers, the Guadalhorce and the Guadalmedina which flow past the city into the Mediterranean.

Malaga has a wealth of history going back over 3,000 years. It was founded by the Phoenicians and named Malaka, meaning salt, probably because of the fish which was salted by the harbour. In the 8th century it was inhabited by the Moors and became an important trading city. In more recent times, tourism has naturally boosted the economy.

Malaga is a very popular tourist destination, made more so in recent years, because of the number of cheap charter flights which now operate in and out of the international airport. But it is also from here that people can reach a large part of Andalucia and may choose to stay in the famous white villages or the historic cities of Sevilla or Granada.

There is plenty to do and see in Malaga the Arabic Fortress, the Gibralfaro Castle from where there is a beautiful view over the city, the harbour which is one of the most important in Spain and various museums, cathedrals and churches as well as, of course, the bullring and it can also be known as the birthplace of the actor, Antonio Banderas!

Nerja

Nerja is found at the eastern tip of the Costa del Sol, approximately 50 km from Malaga, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Granada and the infamous Alhambra Palace and from there just another half an hour to reach the skiing regions of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

Nerja is steeped in history and is well known for the primitive paintings in the Nerja Caves, which were discovered in the late 1950s and which have now become one of the most visited tourist attractions in Spain. The caves are also home to the worlds longest stalactite. Nerja is also famous for the Balcon de Europa, the balcony of Europe. A wonderful promenade which sits between two small coves on the edge of a towering cliff which was once the sight of a great Moorish castle. It offers magnificent views across the Mediterranean as well as numerous bars and cafes where one can sit sipping refreshments while enjoying the scenic surroundings.

Nerja has some lovely beaches which are mostly rocky coves with sharp sand and there are some good restaurants along the beaches which specialise in local fish dishes. The old town of Nerja has small, narrow streets which are busy in the summer and the weekly market is held on a Tuesday.

Nerja is also becoming a popular destination for walkers exploring the mountainous areas of the Sierra Almijar and the Sierra Tejeda.

Nerja has a wide range of good hotels as well as many private apartments and villas to choose from where you can enjoy your holiday and the surrounding area.

Ronda

Ronda is one of the most beautiful historic towns in Andalucia and is part of the province of Malaga. Ronda can be found approximately 50 kilometres from the coastal town of San Pedro de Alcantara along a very winding road through the mountains, the Serrania de Ronda and it is 113km from Malaga. Ronda has a population of approximately 35,000 people and it is 739m above sea level. The average year round temperature is 15C and has around 2700 hours of sunshine per year.

There is lots to do and see in Ronda. It is famous for having the oldest bullring in Spain and together with the New Bridge, the Puente Nuevo, these are two of the symbols of Ronda. The New Bridge is, in fact, over 200 years old and took more than 40 year to complete. The masonry stones were brought up from the depths of the Tajo gorge. The Bullring, The Plaza de Toros, is recognized as one of the oldest in Spain and one of the most monumental in design. It took 6 years to build and opened in 1785. The City Museum and the Bullfighting Museum are also very popular sights to visit. The Sierra de las Nieves natural park is within the province and has the most important forest of Spanish firs.

The fair and festival of Pedro Romero is usally held at the beginning of September and is a good time of year for tourists to visit.

Ronda is a wonderful place to visit, but an even better place to stay. There are many lovely villas, apartments or townhouses available to rent or maybe choose to stay in one of the picturesque surrounding villages such as Montejaque or Gaucin.

You dont need a Miss Manners at sea to know there are some basic, common sense rules of etiquette for cruising. No, there is no handbook on it, but the key words here are common sense. For some less thoughtful folks onboard, taking a vacation means taking a break from using their brains.

Picture a cruise ship like a floating village or small town at sea. As with any unfamiliar place you go to, you should get to know the lay of the land, so to speak. No one is going to be just like you; people from all over the world, from different cultures and religions are sharing the same floating space as you are. Everyone should learn how to live in harmony for this short stay so that all of you will have the best vacation possible.

Some cruisers have been to their share of ports and know what to do. However, newbies need to pay some attention to their surroundings. Read the literature about the ships activities. And if there is any doubt about something, ask a member of the cruise ships personnel. Now, lets talk about some of those unspoken shipboard rules:

Cool it with the complaints You are on vacation! Nothing is more unattractive than a grown-up whining like a child over something like waiting in line. You know that saying When in Rome? Well, it is your vacation. No worries, no deadlines, no being late to anything youre on a ship and nothing on board is going anywhere. Say hi to the people next to you; challenge someone to a game of paper, scissors, rock to break up the monotony.

Respect the Dress Code Guidelines Cruise ships will often post some clothing guidelines for dinner or live entertainment for that day. If you dont follow the guidelines, you will not be thrown off the ship. However, you would feel mighty uncomfortable wearing your Bermuda shorts and flip flops to a semi-formal dinner or dance.

Say so long to the seat savers and line cutters- It is a bit exasperating to take the time to arrive at a decent hour to catch the next lounge act only to have a sea of coats draped over chairs and no bodies in the seats. And line cutters, shame on you. It is one thing for you to stand in line and have your spouse join you after a quick trip to the rest room. It is a whole new ballgame letting in your twenty newfound friends from the poker tables cut in line.

No hogging of the gym equipment/hot tub/lounge chairs/computers, etc. There are possibly several thousand other people who at some point want to use stationary bike or hot tub privileges. Be mindful of others who are discreetly waiting without complaint for their turn.

Designated smoking areas There are specific areas just for smokers on board. Do not be selfish and light up at the dining room table while others are eating. Heres a big clue: if you see ash trays, you can light up.

These unspoken rules sound perfectly logical dont they? Yet, some cruisers forget themselves in their quest for a good time and other people suffer for it. If you are unsure of something, ask. Let your common sense rule. And dont worry, it wont get in the way of your good time.

At the south point of Florida, there is a chain of islands 170 miles long that is embedded in turquoise water. This is the Keys, bordered by the unique living coral reef in the United States. The subtropical climate and the extraordinary beauty of the Atlantic have made this ecological wonder one of the most prized destinations for sailors.

Sailboat Chartering With or Without a Captain

You can choose from four types of sailboat vacation:

Leasing the sailboat without a captain or “Bareboat Chartering” – The sea has no secrets for you or your crew and you are capable of bringing the sailboat back to port even if a hitch happens during your trip.

Chartering a sailboat with a captain – You prefer to have a captain on board to help you with the bowline knot.

Sailboat training – You want to learn to navigate or you wish to enhance your knowledge. Charter companies offer courses at every level, for groups, couples, for a weekend or for the whole week.

Cruising with a captain and cook – You watch them raise the sails and manipulate the sauce pans, while you take it easy.

Choosing a Sailboat

The marinas cannot always accommodate boats that are too big. Also the draft of your boat should not exceed 4.5 to 5 feet and the beam 13.5 feet to 14 feet. We prefer mono hulls from 40 to 43 feet long. They combine space and comfort and generally find a spot in the small marinas of the Keys. These boats are also better equipped than the smaller sailboats. Catamarans rarely find a dock large enough and must anchor outside.

The boats are rented for a day, a weekend or for a week.

Best Time for Sailing the Keys

The Keys benefit from a subtropical climate. You can sail all year long but, like everywhere else, there is this fantastic time of the year and less favorable periods.

The best periods are: March, April, May, end of November and beginning of December.

The periods of tourism affluence are Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year

Possible cold front periods: End of December, January and February.

Hurricane, humidity and mosquitoes’ months are June to November, with a peak in August September, and October.

Books

Cruising Guide to the Florida Keys, by Captain Frank Papy.
Good basic information about places to visit, marinas, underwater activity, etc. Excellent maps describing the entrances to ports and marinas, usually difficult in access because of shallow waters.

Diving and Snorkeling guide to The Florida Keys, by Halas and Kincaid.
Excellent guide for skin diving and snorkeling. Description of coral reefs, exotic fish and sunken Spanish Galleons. Indication of depth and the level of difficulty of the different sites.

For most people, trying to get a good rate on airfare is a necessity. Most people spend the bulk of their vacation dollars on airfare. So it’s a good idea to put in the time necessary to finding a better deal.

There are a few things to keep in mind while you’re researching that will save you a good bit of money. So these tips will help with getting better prices.

Be as flexible as you can

If you can leave a few days earlier or later, you can often save significantly, because cheaper tickets may still be available on a less popular day. Try to avoid the days most business people like to travel. For example, Tuesdays and Wednesdays can be much less expensive days to fly than any other day.

Look into consolidated airline tickets

Consolidators buy tickets in bulk and sell them at a discounted rate to help airlines fill seats up. You can find ticket consolidators in your newspaper’s travel section or online at sites like Hotwire.com.

You should be aware of the fact that consolidated airline tickets have more restrictions than others, but could be a really good buy if you’re willing to live with those restrictions. It’s best to find out what those restrictions are so you’ll know if you’d like to go that route or not.

Be aware of hidden costs

Ticket prices are often published without ticketing fees, airport taxes, security surcharges, etc., which can raise your costs by 10 to 20 percent. Know these fees before you buy your tickets to avoid any surprise. Read all fine print before giving up your money. It can mean the difference in getting a really good hotel or a cheap motel.

Check out ticket prices online

Ticket prices can be less than 10 percent or more if you purchase them online. Several online travel websites also offer package deals for vacations that include flights, so be sure to shop around and prices vary from website to website.

If you need cheap airline tickets, these tips work pretty well, as well as the other tips you can find online. The trick is to take the time to research well before you buy the tickets. You can often get good prices if you take your time finding out what’s available.

In recent years, the travel industry has become a force to be reckoned with in the online industry. With Internet access growing more common daily in homes around the world, many people can surf for vacations online, book flights, car rentals, hotel reservations cruises and more for business or fun travel – any time, all the time, 24/7.

And many people are realizing their dreams of working from home through this online travel business revenue stream at the same time. But many more could be joining in, too, but dont know how or need a hand at the keyboard.

While it can be very profitable, you can struggle if you dont know what youre doing. So here are a few tips on how to succeed.

1. Automate your business. The one common thread among all internet businesses is mass quantities of potential customers. If youre going to do well, you must learn to automate nearly everything. Just keeping up with a list of prospects can become a daunting task without the proper tools. For sending out emails, auto-responders are pretty much a must these days. It greatly decreases the amount of work involved.

2. Build relationships. Many people tend to forget that online business is still a business. They think just because they throw up a website that people will start buying from them. The truth is, people hate to be sold to. However, they will buy from those who build relationships with them. Gain their trust by giving them something with no strings attached. Unconditional giving is a great practice to get into.

3. Offer extras. Dont just do what everyone else is doing. Give the prospect something extra. If you over-deliver, theyll have every reason to buy from you. If you over-promise and under-deliver, youll likely end up being disappointed. Try to come up with unique ideas that others havent thought of. Dont be content with giving away some free e-book that is so overused that everyone has read it twice. Continually think of innovative ways to help the customer.

4. Use your unique voice. Dont try to sound like an encyclopedia or a robot. In all communications with the clients, be sure to use your individual voice. People like to deal with other people, not robots. Talk to them like you would talk to your best friend. Dont talk down to them or sound redundant. Use a fresh style. It will be appreciated.

5. Know your stuff. No matter what youre selling, you must know what youre talking about. If a prospective buyer asks you a question and you cant answer it, why would they want to buy from you? They probably wouldnt. Do some research. Learn your craft. It will go a long way with the customer.

Keep these tips in mind while building your Coastal Vacations or other travel-related business. There is no reason why you cant do as well as anyone else in the business. Just remember that online businesses are still businesses.

The South of France has the enviable combination of miles of coastline and fertile rural landscapes and has been the inspiration for artists, composers and writers as well as the new visitor.

Where is it?

The term South of France is usually used to describe the southern stretch of the countrys coastline that runs between Spain and Italy, and the rural inland areas that include Provence and the Lubron. With its warm climate, fertile landscape and developed coastline, it is one of the most regularly-visited parts of Europe.

Where can I stay?

Unsurprisingly, for somewhere as popular as the South of France, there is no shortage of hotels, guesthouses, bed and breakfasts and camp sites. For a true taste of the area though, stay in one of our recommended boutique hotels. Small and intimate, they are a home from home and turn a basic holiday into a luxury retreat. All of these hotels offer well-designed and contemporary rooms and the service is discreet and impeccable. Good food usually goes hand-in-hand with the cool rooms and public areas – by choosing one of these hotels youll be treating yourself to a memorable stay in the South of France.

What can I see?

The South of France is too big an area to be fully explored in a single holiday, which is why many people return year after year. Some of Frances most expensive resorts lie on the south coast, including St. Tropez and Cannes, and where better to watch the yachts and fashions of the rich and famous? The area is famous for its coastline, sailing and water sports and for the cities that lie near it: Nice, Marseilles and Montpelier for example. Inland, Provence is well-known for its rolling landscapes, stretches of vineyards and swathes of wild flowers. With no shortage of historic buildings, local markets and museums to explore, the South of France has something for everyone.

How do I get around?

If youre planning on exploring the South of France, you should hire a car. The French, like most European countries, drive on the right hand side of the road and the roads are largely well-maintained, although many are toll-controlled and you will have to pay at marked toll stations to use the main road network. If you are planning on staying mostly in one place and just visiting major cities or tourist areas, then opt for the train system, operated by SNCF.
