Auburn Tigers ..War Eagles..SEC..Take National Championship to the Wire..in 22-19 victory

2011-01-11T01:05:00.001-05:00

A College Championship Game of the ages was just played. The Auburn Tigers and the Oregon Ducks just played their hearts out. You couldn't ask for more from the teams, my hats off to them both. The first time in 57 years for Auburn Tigers and the first time ever playing in the big game for Oregon Ducks. The coaches game plans were of A 1 caliber , the play calling showed it. The SEC was truly represented with big hits and bodies, but west coast football fought the whole time. The recruiting will be great for both schools next year. The playoff system in college football could happen, but after tonight it seemed perfect the way it is.

The No Hitting Zone!!..NFL takes Action on Big Hits!!

2010-10-27T02:59:00.000-04:00

The NFL is cracking down on big head to head hits. Two players were heavily fined last week for the hits they put on the opposing players. I must say these hits have been happening since the start of football. Ever since Pop Warner Football, all players dream of the Big hit , ya know like when your mouth piece flies out and the ear pads pop out. My mouth is getting wet now as I write about it. I know players must be protected, but you just wanna keep the game exciting. Let's be fair on both sides, you don't want this to become flag football with pads. I'm all for right thing in the progression of this sport..What's your take on the new rule being set..Will it take away from the natural feeling of the big hit,you tell me?

Low Tide Meets Fighting GameCocks..SouthCarolina Upsets the Ranking Champs

2010-10-09T19:17:00.000-04:00

What a day for football!!..Great games everywhere, from Grand Park In Pop Warner to the the upset of the week.Today in college football you rarely get to witness such a game as the the one the South Carolina Gamecock's put on the today. You seen exactly how to fight the champ. You swing for the fence, and keep coming. This was a true SEC battle, old Ali Frazier..where u knew it would go down to the wire.Theres a new king on the hill in college football. How long will they hold that ranking ? Only next week knows..Hows your team doing?..

JAGS WIN!!!..JAGS WIN!!!!,,,ANY GIVEN SUNDAY LIVES...

2010-10-03T19:36:00.004-04:00

Any given sunday lives in Jacksonville..! The underdog Jags fought to the end. In a season of early ups and downs this team came up BIG agaist the riding Colts on a most beautiful day here in north florida. This will help with the talks of the team staying here in jax..I know its just one game, but its shows what is at your finger tips when u have a winner...Its Pro Football , where any given sunday could be your day.

Alabama gets to party late, but leaves with pork chops!

2010-09-27T00:37:00.001-04:00

What a game! A slug fest! A SEC War! All can be said about the number 1 Alabama tide vs. number 10 Arkansas razorbacks. The razorbacks came out cutting deep, taking the first possesion to the endzone. By half time the tide realized they were in a real dog fight. You seen the the champs wake up right before your eyes. The tide was coming like a tusami! Turnovers really hurt the razorbacks in this one. Whenever u fight the champ u gotta beat em down, any room for a comeback will leave you as a pork chop special.

Eagles fly High over Jags on Cloudy day!

2010-09-26T23:52:00.001-04:00

On this cloudy day in Jacksonville, Florida it was hard to see the the sun. The one thing you could see very clear was the Eagles star Mike Vick shinning bright! From the start of the contest he came out gunning. As a fan and and local guy here in jax u wonder whats the deal with the teal? Even try as they did, there was no flame from the home team. Vick seemed to have a record day, throwing for 3 touchdowns and running for one. I see Vick making a early push for come back player of the year.

Seen it Coming! Early vision on NFL QBs come to pass!

2010-09-20T21:18:00.000-04:00

Football is a game of major anticipation. If u look at my second blog; Which QB will shine? My pick was Mike Vick. In this early season he has showed what he has always been, a star. You see Farve needing a miracle, losing his number one weapon before the season ever started. I said ROMO will be NOMO. Dallas is 0 and 2. Will all my picks be exact, i highly doubt it. Its the ebb and flow of this game that pulls in my passion. A lot like life, you're gonna win some and lose some, but the next play is the most important!

Monday Night Football Double Header Hits Hard Knocks!

2010-09-14T03:10:00.001-04:00

Defense Defense Defense! A saying you're gonna have to know as a football fan is that Offense sales tickets and DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS. Ask anyone you know with any type football championship ring. Ask them about the defense they had. Last night the Baltimore Ravens lead by the one and only Ray Lewis showed exactly that in the 10-9 victory over the highly watched New York Jets.Tonight real football was played, not reality sports.I'm a fan of the the lime light, but when it comes to football its all about action. Pipe dreams and popcorn wont cut it. Ask the guy Ray Lewis hit. In the second game of great football last night was the Kansas City Chiefs who came in kicking butt and taking names later attitude. The San Diego Chargers fought hard, but ran into the last mohicans with their backs agaist the wall. End result in that one 21-14. Chiefs bend but dont break. That equals the point, check your team defense. If you cant score, u wont win.

JAGS SPOIL TEBOWS HOMECOMING!

2010-09-12T16:48:00.001-04:00

Tebow's back! The word this preseason for the Jags was to get Tim Tebow. Well they kinda did, not as a teammate but as the first opponent in the season opener as a Denver Bronco. Jags showed the fans the fire that has been missing. Football has never been about one player. Teamwork and a steady defense was key in todays win.

College Football Exciting Again!

2010-09-07T15:03:00.002-04:00

Wow!. Did you see those games? From Alabama's tide still rolling without the Heisman Trophy winner , to Jacksonville State beating Ole Miss in their own back yard . Its on and popping . Florida State had their 1st year without Bobby Bowden and looked great . Keep your eyes on QB Ponder, he's looking mid season form already. Florida Gators had a ruff start but woke up late, only 13 yards in the 1st half,8 turnovers. They gotta get ready for the SEC fast . It was a tough call for game of the week. The LSU vs UNC game, was just that, a real game. Both teams left it on the field..TCU and Boise State are both in the top 10, lets see how long they last. Both teams have fight and are ready to prove their ranking .Who's your college this year ? Did they come out swinging?..Just in.Boise State looks for real, they may be in that top 10 for rest of this season.Just ask Virginia Tech.

Fantasy Football is here to stay!

2010-08-29T14:48:00.001-04:00

Fantasy Football is here to stay. In this world of football everyone can play. This is a great thing. It's everywhere.....the gym, the local sports bar, the office. Leagues pop up and they're off and running. Fantasy football has made the NFL interactive which is huge in todays interactive world. No sweat, no grass drills, no coach in your face for missed plays. I'm dreaming right?! Corporate America has gone bonkers over it, just ask your co-worker. Fantasy football has over 20 million participants. Next week is the prime time for leagues to hold their annual drafts, meaning millions of people will be spending lots of cash for draft kits, magazines, league fees, etc. I've never played, but am feeling the need to compete. Just think about it, all from the sitting position, enjoying a cold soda. What's your take on it?

Pop Warner Football Opening Ceremonies

2010-08-25T13:29:00.000-04:00

This past Saturday, I went to the POP WARNER Opening Cermony at OPAA where I started. The look in the kids' and parents' eyes gave me goose bumps. This progam is a great foundation for children to learn teamwork and togetherness. Whether your child starts or not is not important. The memories they gain and the friendships they make will last forever.

Gooooo Pop Warner!!!

WHICH QB WILL SHINE?

2010-08-24T02:15:00.000-04:00

From Farve to Romo to Vick....who's your pick to shine this year as the starting QB? My pick is Vick.......Why u say?..........HE'S hungry! Jail time, shootings, and from a starter to second string...not that the others aren't hungry. Farve will need a miracle to repeat last season and Romo will be NOMO. Pookie has spoken. What do you think?

Pre-Season Is The Reason

2010-08-23T19:02:00.000-04:00

Preseason is the reason!..With the NFL season starting, has your team made the right choices? And why?
