In the end, I found this shop and I bought the Canon AE-1 body (I already have a lens)! ;D I was supposed to buy the Canon FT QL but got interested in the AE-1 instead. I spent reading the online manual last night. Everything’s working as it should be. And I just love the way it sounds when I click the shutter. ;)

I can’t wait to get started with my first roll! Do you also own an AE-1? ;)

I’m now currently on the third book of the Chronicles of Narnia – The Horse and His Boy. Reading Narnia feels like I’m a child again. The first book (The Magician’s Nephew) tells how the world of Narnia began (out of nothing but darkness) and how the White Witch (Empress Jadis) entered Narnia. It’s more like the same in how the world began in the Bible, with Aslan as the “Almighty” Lion. When during the beginning of all things, there’s already evil.

This week had also been one of the lowest points in my life. I was never fond of doing confrontations and it’s frustrating to think that somebody had taken advantage of my kindness, and had overlooked my efforts. It’s too depressing to think about it but hopefully it made her happy. *sigh*

I’m sort of looking forward to something next week. It’s all I’ve been thinking of. It’s an 80/20 chance it’s gonna happen. I’m finally going analogue! Haha. That is, if things will go exactly as planned. ♥

Also after three weeks, hearing loss on my left ear (probably from having far too many colds and was the main reason I was on amox) is starting to get better. I’m so happy it’s only temporary! Haha.

I’ll leave you some more pictures from my Sunday in San Joaquin. I love the fire tree! I will surely plant one of these trees in my backyard since there are no cherry blossoms here. ♥

I sort of… well, forgotten the part where you got to wear gloves. ;| I was almost through with twenty to thirty chilis when the burning pain became unbearable. Huhuhu. I did all things possible to take away the pain. I did the aloe vera thingie, the burn ointment, smearing my hands with toothpaste. Nothing worked except immersing my hands in a basin of super ice cold water which numbed the pain. I was like this for a couple of hours. This included dinner time. Haha… While I was typing this post, there’s still little pain which can be relieved with the cold blast from the aircon.

Wahaha… Happy 26th Birthday to me! ♥

I think of this project [The Ideal Bookshelf] as an intimate form of portraiture; a way to illustrate who the subject is on the inside instead of out.

I love that a book is something created very personally and then mass-produced in order to affect many other people very personally. I paint them to turn them back into something very personal and intimate. In the age of the Kindle (which I also love, btw), it’s very satisfying.

Just a quick update. I’ve been too busy with revamping a new look for Flutter Happy in April. ♥ That’s why I haven’t blogged that much this month. It’s hard since I had to resize all the images to bigger ones and I have posts dating back 2010! *sigh* Good thing some posts don’t have photos. ;) This will going to be two long weeks till March is over. To keep myself preoccupied, I read The Hobbit on my phone. This was my second try in reading Tolkien’s series and so far I’m loving it! The first try, I got overwhelmed with the little details or I simply wasn’t paying attention. =) ♥ There was also this book of picture riddles that got me visually entertained, which I got tired of after 20 mins since I really couldn’t spot where the heck is the saucer in the picture.
