Learning Support Officers History

Rebecca Wheeler and her son Brendan

My son Brendan is 7 1/2yrs old and has Moebius Syndrome, which means he has a lack of facial expressions, poor muscle tone and hardly any speech.

When school time came, if it wasn’t for my son’s Learning Support Officer, life for him would have been very hard. Even though we treat him as a normal child at home, school life would have been a lot harder if he didn’t have a wonderful Learning Support Officer to assist him in the classroom to keep him up with all the other kids.

If he didn’t have a Learning Support Officer, I would have had to go to his school twice a day to help him, and that would mean giving up work. Having the Learning Support Officer at school has given Brendan the chance to go to a mainstream school and have lots of fun and meet lots of people.

Claire

Claire has been a long-term temporary Learning Support Officer employed by the Department of Education for 10 years. She feels like this year is her "final" year of school because the student she has supported since he was in Year Three is now in Year Twelve and will soon leave the school. Claire says she feels very uncertain about the future and does not know whether she will have work next year.

“I can only be employed where or if there is funding available, regardless of my hard work for past 10 years. I have no guarantee of work next year or what is to come.”

Claire asks that people support the Students Need Us campaign and says students are missing out on vital assistance with their schooling because of cuts to staffing hours.

“Our team of Learning Support Officers are often stretched to cover all the areas for a numerous amount of students in our school who need this vital support. No student should slip through the system because of the lack of consistency and assured support for their daily school needs. By supporting us you are supporting students who are entitled to equal opportunities.”

Elizabeth Gawthorne

Elizabeth Gawthorne has been a School Learning Support Officer at a local High School for the past ten years, working as a long-term temp.

She provides support and assistance to students who need extra help in the classroom, but although Elizabeth loves her job, she has no job security at all because she is a long-term temp.

Elizabeth has been asked back to the school every year but it’s tough because of the lack of job security, and not knowing at the end of the year if the school will have enough funding or enough students who need her help the following year.

Learning Support Officers are a fundamental part of schools and provide vital support to teachers, as well as helping students to reach their full potential and scholarship.

But there are many more Learning Support Officers in NSW, like Elizabeth, who do not have permanency, and their lack of job security means many students miss out on the extra support and help they need at school.

Julia Collier and her son James

Julia Collier’s son James is six years old and has a global development delay, which means he has an intellectual disability and he also needs a wheelchair.

James attends a mainstream public school, which has a special unit for students with a moderate intellectual disability. He loves school and Julia says his Learning Support Officer and teachers do a wonderful job.

“He loves going to school and is so happy there. He gets along well with the other students and is learning important socialising skills with his Learning Support Officer as well as handwriting, numeracy and reading skills.”

James is able to communicate with his Learning Support Officer through sign language, and Julia says he is getting excellent support.

There are ten students in James’ class, and because of the support provided by Learning Support Officers, students like James enjoy school and are able to grow and reach their full potential.

Without Learning Support Officers, students like James wouldn’t get the support they need.

Marketing tools- If you are concerned about the amount of time it will take to update and monitor Twitter for your business, then it can be very helpful to take advantage of one of the social media marketing tools that is available. Hootsuite allows you to plan out your strategy and schedule tweets up to a month in advance. You will still need to monitor Twitter for current issues but it will take off some of the stress. You can keep Twitter update with as little as 30 minutes to an hour a day.

If you are still worried about navigating and monitoring Twitter, you can hire someone to help you. Lichtenstein’s company, Micro Media Marketing, and other social media firms, can provide services that set up your account the right way. Even people who have accounts may not have them set up correctly for the most impact and Lichtenstein says they regularly tweak existing accounts.

So many people are disappointed when forced to take on the new Facebook time line. For me it was welcomed, I enjoyed putting my cover photograph up and nothing really changed that much. Though I know a lot of people haven’t embraced the change as well as I did.

While so many people are still coming to terms with the new time line feature, I have to admit I like it. Seeing my entire Facebook history along with where I have been and what I have done since birth, gives a great insight into each of the pages you visit. Of course I am talking purely from a private use and not a business use.

Step 1 – Preparation Time
Before the studying process can actually begin it is necessary for the student to clear their mind of clutter. After all there is a finite amount of memory available in one's mind. Step 2 – Distractions
The next step is to deal with any distractions that may impede the studying process. This means that students will need to watch the latest episode of their favorite teen drama, they will need to read the latest Tweets and Facebook messages and they will need to call friends to talk about any unfinished business from the school day.

Step 3 – Fuel Up!
With all of these distractions taken care of the next step is to fuel up for the studying experience. Here's how to tell what category of parenting style based upon psychologist Diana Baumrind's parenting styles your conversations with your child fall into:

Indulgent Parenting

The indulgent, or permissive, parenting style is characterized by baby talk being used when normal conversation should take place between parent and child. You may be using indulgent parenting style if you find yourself referring to your own feelings as a reason for a child to behave in a certain way.
Permissive parents often talk a great deal more to their children than other parenting styles, but they make few demands on their children and usually do not reason with their children. When a child is asked to do something, the request is often not directly give, and if the child does not respond appropriately, discipline rarely occurs.
For example, in a situation in which a child is hurt because they disobeyed their parent by jumping on the bed:
Parent: “Oh no! What happened?”
Child: “I fell!”
Parent: “I wish you hadn’t done that! But don’t worry, come here, I’ll make it better.”
While these parents are very responsive to their children’s needs, they sometimes fail to teach them how to regulate their behavior or emotions. This often results in the child not having an accurate understanding of rules and consequences.
In some cases, children of completely permissive parents may be more like to engage in riskier behaviors as young adults as they are not accustomed to having standards and rules set for them. They may also have problems socializing due to frequently getting their way.

Authoritarian Parenting

If you frequently employ the phrase “because I said so” or “it’s my way or the highway,” then you might be closer to an authoritarian style of parenting. Also known as strict parenting, there is little discussion or room for debate between parent and child. These parents are more likely to lecture than have a conversation, and more likely to employ punishment for discipline without discussing the infraction.
When taken to the extreme, authoritarian parents are likely to use harsh language to punish, demand, or coerce their child into compliance.
An authoritarian parent’s reaction in the same situation as above:
Parent: “Why are you crying?”
Child: “I fell!”
Parent: “That’s your fault then, isn’t it? I told you that would happen. Don’t do it again.”
They expect obedience without discussion or explanation, especially to rules and directions. Considered a restrictive, punitive parenting style, authoritarian parents expect much of their child without providing a great deal of support.
Children of authoritarian parents are generally model students, but have poor social standing due to an unwillingness to speak up and concern over their parents’ reactions.

Authoritative Parenting

If you are the most likely to sit and reason with a child, especially in the case of discipline, then you are closer to an authoritative parent. This is a parent who will share personal stories of success and failure, offer options, and discuss alternatives, allowing the child to make choices (and possibly mistakes). If punishing a child, an authoritative parent is more likely to take the time to explain the rationale behind the reprimand.
Authoritative parents are engaged in their children’s lives, but leave room for their children to make mistakes so that they can learn and grow from those experiences. They will assist in the children in problem resolution, but encourage independent thought.
An example interaction:
Parent: “Uh-oh, what happened?”
Child: “I fell!”
Parent: “I’m sorry that happened. Why did you fall?
Child: “I was jumping on the bed.”
Parent: “That’s right. I told you not to jump on the bed because I was worried this might happen. Would you have fallen if you had listened?”
Child: “No.”
Parent: “I make the rules to keep you safe. So you should listen next time, ok?”
With this style of parenting, extensive conversations are normal, and parents try to be supportive of the children while encouraging them to stand on their own two feet.
According to Baumrind, this is the ideal style of parenting. It is a model used by many parenting and early education foundations, including RIE. The cognitive development of children seems to be enhanced by an authoritative environment. Children’s social development is also improved through this style as they have learned to regulate their emotions and to reason.

It’s not just the quantity of conversations you have your children, but also the quality of those discussion. The social and cognitive effects of how you talk to and raise your children can last their entire lifetime.

Cara menghapus trojan msqpdxserv.sys (trojan tidserv)

Msqpdxserv.sys trojan atau yang dikenal sebagai W32.Tidserv merupakan trojan horse yang beresiko bagi keamanan computer yang terinfeksi. Trojan rootkit menggunakan teknik yang dirancang khusus untuk menyembunyikan keberadaan software pada sistem.

Setelah system computer terinfeksi, trojan ini akan melakukan blok keamanan akses pengguna ke situs web, halaman web yang mengandung kata "VIMAX", hasil pencarian di Google, Yahoo, MSN dan lainnya redirect ke situs-situs lainnya yang tidak terkait. Trojan Msqpdxserv.sys juga akan mengubah DNS server ke salah satu IP berikut: 85.255.115.156, 85.255.112.87, 85.255.115.50, 85.255.112.154.

Msqpdxserv.sys trojan menyebar dan menggandakan diri ke semua removable drive menjadi sebuah file boot.com yang berada pada directory %DriveLetter%\resycled\boot.com, juga membuat file autorun.inf pada path %DriveLetter%\resycled\.

Cara untuk menghapus dan mematikan trojan msqpdxserv.sys :

Langkah 1: Mematikan msqpdxserv.sys trojan driver.

* Klik kanan pada icon My Computer
* Klik Properties.
* Klik Tab Hardware.
* Klik Device Manager.
* Pada menu bagian atas, klik View and click Show Hidden Drivers
* Scroll ke bawah pada opsi non Plug and Play drivers.
* Klik + di sebelah kiri.
* Pada list driver, klik kanan msqpdxserv.sys.
* Klik Disable.
* Klik YES untuk konfirmasi.
* Tutup semua jendela dan reboot komputer Anda.

Untuk menghilangkan trojan msqpdxserv.sys maupun sejenis malware lainya, anda bisa menggunakan tools berikut.

Gara-gara hosting error, saya terpaksa bikin tulisan ga penting alias tulisan sampah ini, ya mau gimana lagi, robot.txt tidak dapat diakses google bot, hal ini sama saja dengan web mati di search engine. SEO drop, takutnya pr juga bakal ikutan drop kalau tidak segera diselamatkan.. Hal yang harus saya lakukan hayanlah ganti hosting, padahal hosting yang saya gunakan adalah hosting professional dari hostmonster, admin hosting sampai sekarang belum bisa mengatasi masalah tersebut! sungguh payah dan menyedihkan... sepertinya si admin rada oon. atau malah sengaja ip google bot di block sama dia, biar ga menuh2in trafic.. mbuh lah.. :D Btw buat mas ricky, thanks juga dah kasih referensi hosting kemarin.. jgn lupa kasih pingback di postingan cara manual restore registry windows xp :D

Hal seperti ini memang sangat menjengkelkan, terjebak di dalam lingkaran reboot.. komputer tidak bisa melakukan booting dan langsung restart sebelum masuk pada windows startup dan terkadang "blue screen". Bagi ada yang pernah menemui hal ini, berarti terjadi corrup terhadap system registry pada computer system anda.
Dibawah ini adalah cara mengembalikan registry secara manual pada windows xp apabila terjadi hal yang serupa:

1. Boot pada recovery console dengan menggunakan CD Windows XP Setup
2. Copy file berikut di C:\Windows\System32\Config dengan files dari C:\Windows\Repair
- system
- software
- security
- sam
- default
3. Start komputer
4. Beri hak aksess user anda pada directory C:\System Volume Information
5. Di C:\System Volume Information, cari folder yang terbaru dimulai dengan RP ... (lihat melalui mode modified dates of the files). Copy file berikut:

_REGISTRY_MACHINE_SAM --> rename menjadi SAM dan copy ke temp folder
_REGISTRY_MACHINE_SECURITY --> rename menjadi SECURITY dan copy ke temp folder
_REGISTRY_MACHINE_SOFTWARE --> rename menjadi SOFTWARE dan copy ke temp folder
_REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM --> rename menjadi SYSTEM dan copy ke temp folder
_REGISTRY_USER_.DEFAULT --> rename menjadi DEFAULT dan copy ke temp folder

6. Reboot kembali melalui recovery console dengan menggunakan CD Windows XP Setup
7. Copy 5 file dari foler temp tadi ke C:\ Windows\system32\Config.

Silahkan reboot, dan start pada windows pada mode normal..

Disable UAC (user account contol) pada windows vista, Bagi anda pengguna windows vista tentu tidak asing dengan pesan / alert seperti yang terlihat pada gambar disamping., dan mungkin bagi sebagian pengguna merasa terganggu karena setiap kita melakukan aktivitas yang berkaiatan dengan access pada system, vista selalu memberi peringatan kepada user. Sebenarnya hal ini berfungsi untuk security / keamanan pada system windows vista itu sendiri. Kita bisa saja mendisable atau mematikan message alert ini melalui beberapa cara, dan yang akan saya bahas disini adalah salah satu cara disable UAC vista melalui system registry. Perlu anda ketahui, mendisable UAC vista akan beresiko pada keamanan system anda. Berikut adalah cara mendisable UAC tersebut:

1. Buka RUN (tekan windows key + R) kemudian ketik "regedit" (tanpa tanda petik)
2. Cari key registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Policies\System"
3. Cari key DWORD "EnableLUA", kemudian silahkan double klik
4. Isi DWORD tersebut dengan value "0" (tanpa petik)
5. Klik OK. dan restart computer anda.

Untuk mengembalikan UAC pada posisi ON, silahkan ganti value 0 menjadi 1 pada dword EnableLUA.

XH (XHide) process faker, sebuah software pada OS Linux yang berfungsi untuk menyembunyikan atau mengganti nama process pada linux atau dengan kata lain "Penyamaran nama Process". Cara kerja program XH ini adalah melakukan remote pada software/process tujuan, kemudian mengganti nama process sesuai dari fake process yang kita inputkan.

Options:
-s string Fake name process
-d Run aplication as daemon/system (optional)
-u uid[:gid] Change UID/GID, use another user (optional)
-p filename Save PID to filename (optional)

Example: ./xh -s "klogd -m 0" -d -p test.pid ./egg bot.conf

Contoh lain cara menggunakan :
./xh -s "/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL" /usr/bin/egg bot.conf

Format dari perintah ini adalah :
./xh -s "nama/process/samaran/fake" /perintah/exekusi/program/asli

Software XH (XHide) ini masih memiliki kelemahan, yaitu format manipulasi/fake process yang dijalankan adalah menambahkan nama process fake di ikuti karakter spasi yang sangat panjang kemudian nama process asli. Walaupun demikian, software ini cukup lumayan untuk tujuan tertentu yang mewajibkan kita untuk mengganti nama process pada linux. :D

Javascript - Friendster - Linker , Barusan ada temen yang tanya mengenai cara memasukkan javascript pada profile friendster, dan dengan exspresi tanpa DOSA langsung saja saya jawab "tinggal masukan saja tag <script> pada about me atau Describe Who You Want to Meet", tapi ternyata code ini sudah tidak berfungsi lagi :l0l: Lalu? apakah masih ada celah buat inject javascript di friendster? jawabnya: masih bisa. setidaknya sampai postingan ini saya buat, code javascript masih bisa berjalan pada MEDIA BOX friendster. Dibawah ini adalah codenya:

Tanpa sensor bukan? padahal sebelumnya code seperti ini sudah difilter oleh friendster., kemudian apa manfaat dan bahaya javascript buat kita? tentu saja bagi yang punya hoby modifikasi layouts friendster adalah sebuah anugerah :D tapi hal ini bisa dimanfaatkan oleh kelompok tertentu untuk phishing ataupun pencurian cookies user friendster. Apa itu phishing?, contoh sederhana phishing adalah berupa fake login (halaman login tipuan) yang menyerupai halaman login friendster, sehingga saat kita memasukan email dan password, maka data kita akan terrecord pada database halaman phishing tersebut. Metode ini biasanya menggunakan cara "clasic" (redirect ke url domain non friendster) atau menggunakan cara "modern" (berupa frame) yang menutupi profile asli seseorang dengan area 100% sehingga profile asli tersebut tidak terlihat, yang terlihat adalah sebuah halaman login palsu.

Selanjutnya adalah cookies, Friendster telah melakukan patch dengan menyimpan key cookies pada domain www.friendster.com, dan melakukan redirect pada url http://profiles.friendster.com/IDuser saat user melakukan access pada page tersebut dengan alasan "cookies security", namun pencurian cookies masih bisa dilakukan pada friendster selama javascript masih bisa di inject pada profile seseorang, di tambah juga adanya sebuah bugs pada "UserURL" yang berkaitan pada subdomain http://profiles.friendster.com. Perlu di ketahui, sebuah alamat subdomain merupakan subdirectory dari sebuah directory root domain. contohnya adalah: http://friendster.com adalah root directory, ketika kita membuat subdomain dengan nama http://profiles.friendster.com sebenarnya kita bisa akses url tersebut dengan format http://friendster.com/profiles/ karena "profiles" merupakan sub deirectory dari domain friendster.com.

Tips untuk mempercepat browsing dan access download video pada komputer client menggunakan web-proxy server mikrotik.

Salah satu fungsi dari webproxy adalah untuk menyimpan pages beserta content dari hasil browsing pada memory cache web proxy, sehingga saat client melakukan request >1 pada halaman yang sama, request tersebut akan diambilkan dari memory cache oleh server tanpa harus meload dari network luar (internet) sehingga access internet terasa lebih cepat. Untuk menyimpan file-file seperti video, gambar, dan file lain yang diinginkan seperti *.exe *.zip dll kita bisa menggunakan script dibawah ini pada server mikrotik.

Software ini dilengkapi dengan password proteksi untuk akses administrator, di dalamnya kita bisa melakukan control untuk proteksi situs porno seperti: block program chatt messanger, keword blacklist (unsur kata-kata yang ingin di block), enable-disable akses, log url, log screen yang berupa image print screen dsb. Program ini secara default sudah menyertakan url blacklist dalam database program, tetapi juga tidak menutup kemungkinan kita untuk menambahakan keyword blacklist yang bisa kita tambahkan melalui menu control access seperti pada gambar di bawah ini :

Keyword di pisahkan dengan ganti baris atau tekan Enter, kemudian tulis keyword yang ingin kita block. Pada contoh ini saya menggunakan kata "SEKSI" untuk keyword percobaan yang akan di block nantinya.

Menghilangkan / menyembunyikan icon tray VNC dapat kita lakukan melalui menu registry (OS windows) dengan menambahkan DWORD Value "DisableTrayIcon"=1 pada [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3]. Trik hidden icon tray VNC via registry ini hanya bisa dilakukan pada TightVNC, dan tidak berlaku untuk realVNC. Jika anda belum mempunyai TightVNC, silahkan download disini. Silahkan install terlebih dahulu software TightVNC nya, kemudian buka regedit.exe melalui menu RUN, ketik "regedit" lalu tekan enter. Buatlah sebuah DWORD baru pada HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3 dengan cara klik kanan >> NEW >> DWORD Value >> berinama "DisableTrayIcon" (tanpa tanda petik) >> double klik value "DisableTrayIcon", kemudian isikan dengan angka 1.

Download Video youtube menggunakan firefox

Download video di situs youtube bisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan plugin video downloadhelper dari firefox. Silakan download pluginnya disini, kemudia extrac file tersebut. Lakukan installasi (os windows) dengan cara klik kanan, open with, kemudian pilih firefox. Jika list firefox belum ada, klik menu browse, kemudian pilih directory C:\program files\Mozilla firefox\ ,klik firefox.exe selanjutnya klik OK. Tunggu bebrapa saat, kemudian klik install now dan silahkan restart firefox anda. Untuk mendownload file video/flv dari youtube, silahkan buka situs youtube kemudian play video yang akan anda download. Kemudian pilih tools, DownloadHelper dan pilih file berextensi *.flv seperti contoh pada gambar dibawah :
