The Bag-in-Bag wine Vernissage has taken both wine-lovers and the press by storm, in Sweden as well as internationally. Behind the success are Sofia Blomberg, the creator of the unique packaging design, and Takis Soldatos, the creator of the packaging´s contents. The results are elegant design, and a characteristically typical mixture of French Chardonnay and Viognier produced in one of Northern Europe´s most modern wineries, Nordic Sea Winery in Simrishamn.

The thought behind Vernissage is a playful approach the curious and modern wine consumer. At the same time, a woman´s touch has propelled the Bag-in-Bag wine from the practical to the elegant.

If you remember my post on another fancy box wine, The20, you can really appreciate the design efforts of these creative and unique design packaging. I look forward to more to come. This is the type of trend I can get behind!

I had another post prepped to send out but I was sidetracked when I came across the photo above. Now, this is not recent news (Summer 2011) but I still have to speak on it and get your opinions.

First seen in Vogue Enfant, the pouting face above is that of 10 year old (at time of photo) French model Thylane Léena-Rose Blondeau. The "Too Young to Model" controversy hit the wave when French magazine, Cadeaux, featured Thylane Blondeau in their August 2011 issue in the photo above and one of the photos below. Children's advocate groups were up in arms accusing the magazine and parents of child endangerment and other offenses. You can read/view the full Good Morning America news report regarding that part of the story.

This is a bit to much. I took five extra looks to make sure it was not a Photoshop image. These would be gorgeous photos if the model wasn't a baby vixen. I would rather not see these types of photos because we cannot control where they will eventually end up. The world is a crazy and dangerous place. Parents should protect not expose their children to this side of the world.

My opinion is not for everyone and these photos shouldn't be either. There are those that support these images.

I found Thylane Léna-Rose Blondeau Tumblr fan site, although it seems less of a fan site and more internally managed. The site does show us a different view of the young model, a more innocent [somewhat] and beautiful young girl.

Tim Tebow vs Mark Sanchez: Which Would You Rather?

Hello my pretties. It has been a while since I last chatted with everyone. I'm back from a well needed break and I have so much to talk about; Arkansas, Kanye, diary aisle, wedding, Ghana, Galifianakiss, DIY project, Brooklyn, and so much more. Where do I start?

I think the most pressing, in my opinion, is to share my thoughts on the Tim Tebow / NY JETS wave.

For my readers who might not know or understand what the noise is all about, the New York JETS traded for #15 Tim Tebow from the Denver Broncos as the "back-up" quarterback behind Mark Sanchez.

JETS fan are divided with this trade. Some believe Sanchez can be that franchise quarterback that the JETS organization just paid ($40 mil/3 yrs) to be. The others, including myself, believe that acquiring Tebow can only make the organization better. I see this Tebow/Sanchez drama unfolding two ways; 1) With Tebow being on the team, Sanchez will have to get his game up to keep his starting position. or 2) Tebow becomes the starting quarterback and he makes the NY JETS a real threat.

Now that we are caught up, let us talk about the real story behind this Tebow trade and it is not football. If you have not noticed, Tim Tebow is a hot hottie and Mark Sanchez is not so bad himself. So as a fan of 'talent', the NY JETS are quite talented.

Matsu could possibly be my favorite wine. I love the labels, it has that Benjamin Button vibe going on. Each bottle has a distinct nose and taste. It has been said that each personality on the label embodies the characteristics of the wine.

Matsu Wine Trilogy (‘El Pícaro’, ‘El Recio’ and ‘El Viejo’) is an organic wine from Spain, naturally aged. The labels represent portraits of three generations that devote their lives to the field.

The son, El Picaro, is a youthful wine with an intense aroma from it's fruity taste, like blackberries and blueberries. A fresh wine with bit of complexity and body, with a touch of vanilla. As like it's label, the youngest generation of this trilogy, the wine represents youth, strength, valiant, and audacity.

The father, El Recio, represents experience, strength and serenity. El Recio is a full body wine with a lot of finesse and an intense nose, which takes some time to open up. It has a smooth and lingering taste of chocolote, blackberry, and vanilla. A big body that is easy to drink.

The grandfather, El Viejo, is a glass staining wine. It has a deep cherry red color, yet it's clean and bright. The complex aromas of ripe black fruit, softens and gives freshness to this powerful wine. This one would be my particular favorite. High presence of alcohol, rich palate with a spicy aftertaste.

There are so many amazing food blogs out in world that I wanted to share a few that I have recently discovered. I have visited a number of recipe sites but I never really get the feeling of a shared cooking experience (my attempt at cooking from a recipe at CHOW.com) like I do when I visit these food blogs. I enjoy reading and cooking along with these editors.

I am insecure when it comes to the kitchen so being able to interact with the editors of these blogs makes my love of cooking that much easier. Among the details of the recipes, the photos on these sites are incredible.

I have not indulged in these blogs as much as I would like to yet, but from what I have seen, I know I have a lot of good reading, cooking and baking ahead. Here are a few food blogs that make me hungry!

Can You Stay for Dinner - An amazing life story told through cooking, baking and 135 weight lost. This blog is more than just recipes.
Rainy Day Gal - I really like this blog. The food choices are so perfect for my kind of appetite and my growing cooking skills.

Got No Milk - A dairy free cooking blog. It's possible and it all looks delicious.

Love & Olive Oil - "The culinary adventures of Lindsay and Taylor. We're all about quick and flavorful dishes that don't hurt the wallet". I couldn't say it better. They are masters at that combination.

What Megan's Making - Everything cooked or baked in this blog is right up my appetite alley. I get carried away with cooking possibilities when I visit What Megan's Making. Now that I think about it, what is Megan making this week?

Here are a few honorable mentions: Food.People.Want, Smitten Kitchen, and Get Off Your Butt and Bake.

There are plentiful amount of food blogs out there so let me know your favorites, they might become one of my favorites as well. Eat up!

Capote Wins Best of Show at Big City Little Dog Fashion Show!

Capote Wins!

I am very excited to announce that my little pup Capote won the Best of Show at the Big City Little Dog Fashion Show that took place on February 11th at the New Yorker Hotel. It was a surprise to us that we were invited to compete, nonetheless win. Capote wore a prep school sweater with hat, and to coordinate I wore a dark grey sweater dress that I had found on a Marshall’s rack.

When we arrived at the event, it was quite the spectacle. I saw many different types of dogs and they were all too cute. The paparazzi were in full action. My little Capote couldn't get a moment's break once he was introduced to the room. He was being flanked from every corner for pictures; all I could do was not get in his way nor overshadow the little guy. I felt like a celebrity parent.

The fashion show was awesome. There were different celebrities, each with their fashionable pooch. Backstage was interesting because the dogs were catered to and dolled-up in advance of their stroll down the runway. It felt like the panic before a Marc Jacobs show (just with smaller and cuter models). It was both impressive and exciting.

We competed against other adorable little Yorkies who were "professional" show dogs. My Capote, one of the few amateurs of the evening, strutted his stuff on stage and stole the crowd. I had the chance to rock the runway as Capote's 'handler'. We walked up and down the runway three times before the crowd voted by cheering for their favorite. When the cheers were counted, Mr. Capote was the unanimous winner. We won a 2-night stay hotel package to the New Yorker Hotel and tickets for two to the renowned Westminster Dog Show at Madison Square Garden.

Big City Little Dog Fashion Show

Tonight, Fashion Week goes to the dogs!

Before Westminster crowns best in show over at Madison Square Garden, across the street at the New Yorker hotel, there’s a chance for regular old dogs to strut their stuff. Tonight's event is the Big City Little Dog Fashion show, part of the Westminster Dog Show. The fashion show is a fundraiser for Angel on a Leash, which trains therapy dogs for sick children and seniors.

I will be attending this event with my little pup Capote. Hopefully, we can make our way down the runway. He's too cute to resist.

Since it is a fashion show, finding the right outfit is key, more importantly for Capote since this is a fashion show for him and his friends. I think I know exactly what we'll wear.

Stay tuned for updates on the show itself and if Capote and I made it on the stage. I know some of you have not seen my pup, Capote yet, soon you will see him in all his cuteness glory.

Lust List | Island Hopping in Maldives

With the warming air approaching and the snow melting, you would think that I would have the patience for the awesome NY summer, but I can't wait, I need and want to go away now! As I looked through my mounting emails of requests and offers for new and interesting places to visit, I came across a photo of a cluster of islands that looked like they have been skipped across the ocean. I almost choked on air as I gasped at it's amazingness (coined). What you see in the pictures above is the most beautiful place on Earth; The Republic of Maldives, or better known, the Maldives.

Maldives, located in the Indian Ocean, consists of approximately 1,190 coral islands grouped in a double chain of 26 atolls, along the north-south direction, spread over roughly 90,000 square kilometers. The climate is perfect with tropical heat and ocean breeze and temperatures between 75 to 91 degrees Fahrenheit year round.

Each resort in the Maldives is housed on a separate island by itself and offers an exotic blend of modern luxury and isolated serenity, surrounded by crystal clear waters, beautiful white sand beaches, swaying palm trees and fabulous dive sites.

I thought I would tire of beach vacations being born in the Caribbean and visiting quite often, but when I find an island nation like Maldives, I am convinced the world wants me to keep traveling, keep experiencing and keep learning about it's wonders.

State of My Wardrobe Address

Designers, members of countless fashion networks, distinguished visitors, and fellow bloggers:

My blog structure declares that from time to time, the editor of Define Lust shall give to her visitors, information about the state of her wardrobe. I have yet to fulfill this duty. But when I started my blog, I promised I wouldn’t just write about what was popular, I was going to write about what was necessary, what I found interesting enough to share and put myself into these posts to show real, not the imitation of real. The state of my wardrobe is real and in complete disarray.

It is tempting to look back on my wardrobe decisions and assume that my progress was as expected – that my wardrobe has always been smart and in moments, trendy. But when I started digging deeper into the dark crevasses of my closet, much of my fashion sense came into doubt. The pink, blue, and yellow strappy sandals, no skirts to speak of, the abundant amount of one-wear heels, the miserable examples of boots, sweater dresses, and the lack of a proper winter coat, my wardrobe was anything but fashionable or organized. And despite all my shoe missteps and sartorial oversights, my wardrobe conquered these struggles because I chose to move forward with the tools I had in my closet and make them work for me.

I know the anxieties that are out there right now. They are not new. These struggles are the reason why I started my blog. These struggles are what I have dealt with for years, what my readers have dealt with. I hear them in my post comments and in emails that I read every day; have a bunch of clothes but nothing to wear, seeing different styles but not know how to make it your own, or being overwhelmed by extent of content in your wardrobe.

So my wardrobe faces some big and difficult challenges in 2011. My most urgent tasks for this New Year is to understand my body type and identify my preferred style choices, explore up-and-coming designers, tackle DIY trends, discover shop-girls and their cute boutiques, and enjoy life outside of my wardrobe. This is not easy to do. If there was one thing that unified my wardrobe it would be the disconnect of pieces and the numerous unworn garments, in retrospect, I never really liked. This year will be different.

Now, as I attempt to stabilize my wardrobe, I must also take steps to get my random and impulsive shopping under control, restrain from as many shopping days as possible and help my wardrobe recover from over indulgence.

The ever changing world of fashion will sustain my wardrobe for more than enough years to come. I have finished a difficult assessment. I have come to a difficult conclusion. But a new year has come. A new wardrobe of stylish expectations stretches before me. I won’t miss it.

Let us all seize a moment to start anew, carry the confidence forward, and strengthen the state of our wardrobes.
