Pretty little things...Before and After

2011-03-07T10:38:00.000-05:00

I recently had a chance to work on a food label design in which the product was moving from the farmers market arena into the higher end food market arena. The label had to go from the previous farmer friendly look I designed to a more sophisticated polished feel. I had the option to scrap previous illustration branding and really bring in a cleaner look. Check out below for some of the final products...

I recently had the opportunity to work with a crazy talented chica on her branding. The Bridal Stylist is a service in which a bride can hire a stylist to ensure that they look absolutely fabulous from head to toe on their wedding day. The overall feel of the brand was to be chic and elegant, and to def stay away from the usual tacky wedding logos that you see out there. Below are some of the options that I presented in the early design stages...

And the winner is....

Latest.....Poster Design

2011-01-09T21:03:00.001-05:00

The other night I had to come up with a quick poster for a dinner and music night happening at a restaurant that I do some design work for. As usual it needed to be done yesterday. The specs were basically Italian food, acoustic guitar music and send me something asap. Below is what I came up with. I case you were wondering I was listening to Bob Dylan at the time. lol who says music doesn't influence art!

Ridiculously Great...Christmas Gift

This is what happens when you tell me you want money for Christmas. Some may say "you have too much time on your hands", but I say "thats putting thought into your gift!"

One of my great friends recently approached me to help her create a brand for herself. Given how talented she is I was really excited to help. Cia Saldutto is a make-up and hair artist based out of Toronto who's work has graced the numerous magazines, runway shows and commercials. Below you will find the final products we created for her brand...

In Love with...French Macaroons

2010-09-06T20:51:00.000-04:00

So i have recently fallen in love with french macaroons. Everything from the flavors to the colours to their cute little bite size shape has me dreaming about them at night! However, their is one downfall to these cute little cookies, that being that they are ridiculously expensive! So a few nights ago I attempted to create them myself. And with the help of Martha Stewart I was some what successful at this mission. Please note that this is two attempts, one you tube video and a quick call to mom later! lol

Check out the step by step process below...

Here is the link to the recipe in case you would like to try this for yourself and below is my final product! Not to bad for a first try. Enjoy!

Ridiculously Great...Mustache Parties!

Last weekend my sister threw a random dinner party with a theme. That them being mustaches! Ya that's right. I have to say that I can totally rock a mustache. They make everyone's face much more interesting. I think there should be a national mustache day. Oh and instead of mustache it should now be pronounced moustache...emphasis on the moo!

2010-03-03T14:38:00.002-05:00

This video is so awesome. It reminds me of when I was a kid and was obsessed with the board game "Mouse Trap" I can't even imagine how long a video like this would take to first plan out, then test and lastly execute numerous times. Ridiculously great!

Pretty little things...Art for your feet!

2010-02-24T16:18:00.000-05:00

I'm in love with these amazing shoes designed by Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte's Fall 2010 line. The theme created by Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy's centered around the idea of 'sleepwalking'. Hence why the heels cleverly resemble melting wax. The heels also had the extra touch of glowing in the dark. How clever! I'd wear these to bed any night.

In Love with... Alice

2010-02-24T14:55:00.000-05:00

I love how whimsical yet creepy this scene is

Is anyone else ridiculously excited about the release of Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland!

Everything about this movie looks amazing! From the elaborate costumes designed by Colleen Atwood (who is known for other amazing costumes designs seen in movies like Sweeney Todd, Memoirs of a Geisha, Nine and Sleepy Hollow), to the amazing make-up done by key make-up artist Leslie Devlin (known for creating looks on Pirates of the Caribbean, Donnie Darko, Tropic Thunder (yes remember Tom Cruises make-up!) and many more).

However I think I am most excited for another great Johnny Depp character! Also keep an eye out for Alice (played by Australian born Mia Wasikowska) who is said to be the next "it girl" or so the Vogue Bible says.

Pretty little things...Gaga Currency
