Founded in 2007, Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week showcases the incredibly diverse dining and leisure opportunities in the city of Palm Springs and surrounding communities of the greater Coachella Valley. In just six years, this annual event has grown from fewer than 30 participating restaurants, hotels, and attractions to over 100.

Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week now takes place over 17 days and allows diners to choose from three-course, prix fixe dinner menus available for $26 or $38 per person at over 70 participating restaurants in La Quinta, Palm Springs, Indian Wells, Desert Hot Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Cathedral City, and Indio. Participating hotels will offer an array of perks exclusive to Restaurant Week, including specialty room rates, upgraded in-room amenities, and more. Local attractions—from spas to The Living Desert and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—are also offering special rates and perks available exclusively during Restaurant Week.

No visit to LA is complete without a weekend stop at Ricky's Fish Tacos. In the last two months, he has moved from his Hollywood/Silverlake location and has now found a home in a parking lot in LA's Chinatown.

I always order two or three shrimp and fish combo tacos and an agua fresca of the day.

Veuve Clicquot Airstream is coming to San Francisco

The Veuve Clicquot Airstream is touring the country this spring to celebrate the season and bring a taste of Veuve Clicquot to cities across the nation. The Veuve Clicquot Airstream kicked off its national tour in Florida this March before heading to Texas and then California. Following its stop in San Francisco, the airstream will hit the road again and visit Bellevue, Seattle, Washington D.C. and the Hamptons, among other destinations.

On Tuesday, May 14, the Clicquot Airstream will park on the patio between Epic Roasthouse and Waterbar for a special Veuve Clicquot happy hour event. From 6 to 7:30pm, guests will have the opportunity to get an exclusive look at the Clicquot Airstream while enjoying Veuve Clicquot by the glass and bottle.

On that same day, the Clicquot Airstream will be parked at SOMA Streatfood Park from 12 to 3pm, offering guests a chance to see the Airstream and purchase flutes of champagne.

UNLV’s largest fund raising event, dubbed UNLVino, is expanding its festivities to four days for the first time in its 39 year history. Taking place April 18-21, UNLVino will raise millions of scholarship dollars for the university’s William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration program.

Tickets are now on sale for UNLVino at UNLVTickets.com with events including:

· Bubble-Licious at The Venetian—Thursday, April 18: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Guests will enjoy an evening of exquisite champagnes, sparkling wines and exotic champagne cocktails accompanied by delectable cuisine from The Venetian’s celebrated restaurants, including Delmonico, Bouchon and Postrio Bar & Grill. Chef Thomas Keller will be honored at Bubble-Licious for having established a collection of restaurants that set a new paradigm within the hospitality industry. Tickets are $125 in advance; $150 at the door.

· Sake Fever at The Mirage—Friday, April 19: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

UNLVino’s popular celebration of the most authentic and precisely crafted Asian beverages and cuisine will feature fresh fare crafted by Sushi Masters, while immersing guests in the tropical oasis of The Mirage’s resort pool. Participating restaurants include: Zenshin, Monta Ramen, Kabuki, Sushi Samba, and Island Sushi & Hawaiian Grill. · BAR-b-q at Keep Memory Alive Events Center at Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health —Sunday, April 21: 11a.m to 2 p.m.

UNLVino debuts the mixology-focused BAR-b-q, rounding out a remarkable four days of beverage events benefiting UNLV’s Hotel College. The event will feature celebrity chefs Scott Conant, Angelo Sosa and Gustav Mauler; craft cocktails by Master Mixologist Francesco Lafranconi; and farm-to-table, gourmet fare from a collection of Las Vegas’ favorite restaurants. Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada has enlisted local farmers to provide the freshest spring produce for this high-end epicurean affair honoring MGM Grand President and COO Scott Sibella.
