Ola readers! It's another long weekend holidays in Brunei and how's your day so far? ;)

Here is the second video to our recent Bali trip and it's basically the compilation of all the short clips taken from our day 3 to 6 in Bali.

Well, this is sorta like a sneak preview of our day 5 & 6 in Bali and also our lovely villa! So hope you guys enjoy watching it and I'll blog bout the details later :D

Indonesia: Bali - Day 4

On this day, Hubby and I woke up really early to enjoy the scrumptious breakfast buffet. And it was only later that we found out we didn't recharged our cameras! Both dslr and Lumix were low batt thus we only captured few pictures on this day :(

Nevertheless, I was still able to snap some foodie shots to share with you guys.

Since we were eligible for the hotel breakfast thus we decided to have our breakfast in the villas restaurant and I gotta said it was one of the best hotel breakfast we ever had!

Due to that we had countless unpleasant breakfast dining experience with other hotels thus we usually prefer to do food hunting ourselves. But this time, it really surprised us!

Wide varieties of food were served; both Asian and Western. And also the breakfast buffet includes pork dishes which is something which I didn't expect of. The pork sausages were really yummy! So was their omelet!

Sunny weather in Bali! Scorching hot sun!

Following, we had our lunch at Gourmet Cafe which was again highly recommended by Ely. We were told that this is one of her favorite hangout place with friends :D

Gourmet Cafe

Gourmet Cafe is more than a cafe. It has a Gourmet Shop located inside the cafe which sells many different food products and beverages such as frozen pork, lambs, freshly baked breads, pastries and etc.

Meanwhile, the other side of the Gourmet Shop is the dining area which is also Gourmet Cafe

Gourmet Cafe serves wide varieties of food ranging from local Indonesian dishes to pastas and even ramen.

The food was really delicious and I strongly suggest you guys to visit this cafe if you're visiting Bali :)

We visit Double Six beach in the afternoon to chillax. Double Six beach is at Legian, somewhere near to Kuta and it's indeed one of the nicest beaches in Bali to hang out as there are plenties of cafe, bars to choose from! Cars are not allowed to drive in thus our driver dropped us off at the entrance and waited for us outside.

The cafes/bars here all look very eye catching and Cocoon Beach Club is also located here. However, we didn't enter Cocoon and we ended up choosing La Plancha instead. Reason being it's just too colorful and cute!

La Plancha is like wooden beach house painted with rainbow colors and even the parasols placed at the beach front of the cafe are also colorful! To make the ambience even better, reggae music was playing at the background; such a fun place to hang out! Considered ourselves lucky, the weather was fine at that time so it was as hot as our previous days in Bali.

We woke up early in the morning thinking of catching the hotel's breakfast which is located on the top floor of our hotel. However, the menu didn't seem attractive enough and it was quite expensive thus we decided not to dine there.

So we decided to find an eatery nearby our hotel to have breakfast. Most of it were still closed as it was quite early but luckily, we found this place and decided to be their first customer of the day haha

Black Canyon Coffee is originated from Thailand thus don't be surprised to find quite a few Thai dishes on their menu. And obviously enough, they serve all range of coffee. I gotta say that they make and serve really good coffee and this actually reminded me of the Iced Coffee I had during my trip to Thailand few years back at their local coffeehouse in a village. It was the best coffee I ever had!

Despite it was still an early morning, Hubby decided to order a cold drink thus he ordered Mexican Iced Coffee. When it was served, we both went ga-ga cause the glass was too cute! It reminded me of "Puss in the Boots" and surprisingly, the coffee tasted soooo goooooood! IDR46,000

After having our breakfast we walked back to our hotel. We rested in the hotel room and waited for time to check out our room cause on this day we are moving to another hotel located in Seminyak district.

For lunch, we decided to try out the most popular dish in Bali, the "babi guling" (suckling pig).

Before we flew to Bali, I've read quite a few reviews regarding this dish and found out the most popular restaurant that serve good babi guling is Ibu Oka. However, Ibu Oka Babi Guling is located in Ubud which is pretty far from where we were at thus we decided to go for the other popular one located nearer to us which is Babi Guling Candra. It was actually our Balinese friend, Ely who brought us here and according to her, Babi Guling Candra is more delicious that Ibu Oka.

Babi Guling Candra is located in Denpasar area and it is by the road side thus parking can be difficult but fret not if you're hiring a driver as the driver would just drop you off and pick you up again later when you're done with your meal. The restaurant is pretty big and spacious and it's equipped with long wooden table which is very Balinese. And there are no air-conds installed, only fans. Thus you could imagine how hot it was to dine here especially when you're having the local Balinese spicy food! Hubby was sweating all the way haha!

As it was lunch time so the restaurant was packed with people. We didn't know what to order thus we ordered the complete special set and it came with lots of condiments. Other than the pork meat, its skin was also served and also the pork satay..... basically lots of pork which even include crisply fried pork lard! It was sorta like a pork attack but it was really good! We had read negative reviews regarding the pork smell, skin that was as hard as chewing leather and etc. But it wasn't this bad in our opinion, we thought it was really delicious and especially their sambal, which was the best sambal I ever had and also the most spicy one I ever had in my life! The local lady sitting next to us ordered a set and requested for extra spicy without a drink. Their endurance level is level 999 I think, lol! Really need to take our hats off for her.

Thus I would say, Babi Guling is really a must try Balinese dish!

After our meal, we headed to Seminyak to check in our second hotel of the trip, The Haven Seminyak.

While researching for our accommodation in Bali, we asked our Indonesian friends for opinions and they suggested The Haven in Seminyak. They didn't disclosed much information regarding the hotel itself and only told us that's a must stay hotel for them every time when they visit Bali. And we thought since our friends love this hotel so much so we should give it a try.

From the pictures that the website provided, I didn't think it was a very beautiful hotel... not until I witnessed it with my own eyes. It was a total different experience with Hotel Mercure Kuta; I would say it is by far one of the prettiest hotels I ever stayed with and it's really huge!

I bet due to its favorable location that The Haven is one of the most popular or recommended hotel by travelers in most websites. There were lines of shops nearby the front entrance of the hotel which sell clothing apparels, watches and etc. Therefore, the neighborhood is very lively even at night. But one downside regarding this hotel is that there aren't many eateries around especially the ones open up till late night thus it was pretty hard for late night food hunt if you wanna have supper.

While waiting for check in, the receptionist had us waited at their lobby lounge and we were served with 2 glasses of orang juice as welcome drink. Then later we were told that the room we booked was unavailable thus they upgraded us to their villa section. Of course we didn't mind it at all cause it was a total bonus for us!

Let me explain a little more info regarding The Haven Seminyak here. There are two sections of The Haven; Hotel and their Suites and Villas. The front entrance along the main road is the main entrance to The Haven's hotel meanwhile the back entrance is actually the entrance to The Haven's Suites and Villas where there is also another reception counter for check in/out.

From here you can see how big is The Haven. Initially we had booked for their "The Haven Room" which was supposed to be at their Hotel section but we were upgraded to the similar type of room located at the Suites and Villas section. With this upgrade, we were able to choose to have our breakfast in either the hotel's restaurant or the suites and villas restaurant.

So when our room was ready, the bellboy brought us to our room in the suites and villas section and it was a long looong loooooooong walk!

I've recorded a video clip to show you guys how pretty The Haven is and also the long walk from our hotel room to the main hotel lobby (not the suites and villas lobby). It took about 5 - 10 minutes walk and it was like walking in a maze.

At first I thought the content of this box would be some hotel's info cards and etc but when I opened it up, I was surprised cause there were more goodies found here! Loofa, sanitary bag, shower cap, toothbrush set, shoe cleaner and many more.

After checking in The Haven, we decided to visit Matahari Bali Galeria to looksie looksie.

Basically it's a 2 levels shopping centre that came with a department store, supermarket and different individual outlets. There are also many restaurants and cafes which can be found here as well as hair saloons and nail parlor. Thus, it is a very convenient place as you're able to have your meal and do your shopping all at one place.

When we were done with our shopping, we decided to have some desserts at Flapjacks.

Flapjacks has few outlets scattered around in Bali. It's a dessert house which serves pancakes, crepes, waffles and also wide varieties of gelato. Again, it was mentioned on website that it's a must try in Bali and since we were there so why not? It's hard for me to say "no" to desserts anyways :D

So for our dinner, we decided to have it at Waroeng Wahaha.

If you have read my previous blog entries regarding Bali, then you would have know that Bali's popular dishes are basically pork dishes. Other than babi guling, another must try local dishes is pork ribs. Balinese are really good with preparing pork dishes and here in Waroeng Wahaha, it's signature dishes is non-other but pork ribs.

Honestly, there are a few more popular waroeng that also serves good pork ribs such as the Naughty Nuri's Pork Ribs. Most of the websites highly recommend Naughty Nuri but unfortunately, it was located in Ubud (again, just like Ibu Oka) and at that time we weren't sure when would we be visiting Ubud so we thought let's just try out the nearby ones thus we ended up in Waroeng Wahaha. Plus, our Balinese friend Ely also highly recommended us to try out Wahaha and she even said that it's one of her favorite restaurant and had visited it just a day before we dined there. So in situation like this, must try the local larrrrr!

Crispy ribs; we ordered this just to try out since it was recommended by the waitress. It deep fried and seasoned with some spices and topped with fried garlic however, we thought it was too salty.

This is the 'lead character'; Wahaha Pork Ribs. It was served with together corn and fries. The pork ribs had got really tender meat texture and well grilled and flavored! Love it lots!!!

Shabulicious @ Batu Bersurat

Hey guys, unsure if you have noticed it but I think we are having "shabu-shabu" trend in town now!

Since the establishment of Ice Bar in Kiulap years ago, we could see how much Bruneians love shabu-shabu. Without making any earlier reservation, it is really hard to secure a seat in Ice Bar and not to mention their VIP rooms. It even went to an extend that there is a time limit for dining in their VIP rooms.

For example, if you have booked to dine in one of their VIP rooms at 7pm then you would have to leave by 8.30pm or 9pm cause the next batch of patrons would be there to use the VIP room. Honestly, this is basically how the system works in most of the shabu-shabu or hot pot restaurants abroad such as in Taiwan but I guess Bruneians are not used to such system yet.

Then it came to Shabulicious which has just opened in last December and is located at Batu Bersurat (next to Neo Metro).

Following, there will be another 2 more shabu-shabu restaurants located in Kiulap area, and1 in Times Square. I guess we are expecting tight competition here!

Anyways, today I am gonna feature Shabulicious! My first visit was in last Feb and since then I've been visiting it whenever we feel like to have shabu-shabu.

Not trying to compare but both Hubby and I prefer dining here because it has better ambience and design. The dining tables in Shabulicious are wide long tables which can fit up to 10 persons and they also have bar dining tables.

From here you can see that each table is able to occupy up to 10 patrons. So for the smaller groups, there will be a 'partition' placed in between so that patrons of different groups can still enjoy the minimal privacy.

Earlier this year I've posted a short video clip of Cooper when he was still a baby and now he has grown so big already!

He is really such a cutie! Although at times he is over-manja and naughty but we still love him lots!

Whenever I flashed out my camera or mobile phone at him, he would immediately stop moving and pose for me as he knew that I was gonna take pictures of him hehehe! Very co-operative!

There is just endless cheerful moments with his presence at home and now dogs indeed are mankind's truthful friends!

Indonesia: Bali - Day 2

Hey guys, I believe you've watched our day 1 and 2 video in Bali on the previous entry. And in this entry, I'll be blogging the details on our day 2 in Bali :D

On our second day in Bali, we tried to wake up early as our driver told us that he would be there by 8.30am to pick us up. But we failed and we actually departed from our hotel at 9.30am instead.

We hired our driver from Sila Bali Tour and our driver was Nyoman. Nyoman is able to speak English so there was no communication barrier between us. And where ever we wanted to go, he would bring us and of course being a local, he would also give us certain suggestions. The car that we hired was Suzuki APV and the full day rate was IDR 450,000.

In Bali, you get to see all sorts of new, modern living house concepts. And here in this picture, it shows a newly built villa/penthouse

Above picture shows a Balinese lady giving ritual offerings at the road side. Everyday Balinese have to offer these offerings to Gods three times a day; morning, noon and night.

We weren't sure what type of breakfast do Balinese usually consume so we asked Nyoman to bring us to a place where the locals always have their breakfast. And he brought us here, Bali Bakery. We were both surprised as we were expecting something very traditional such as warung instead of a cafe. Then, I was told by my Indonesian friend that Bali Bakery is considered one of the most popular spot for breakfast in Bali and apparently it was established in year 1994. Wow, that's like almost 20 years back! Currently Bali Bakery has 4 branches and the one we visited was located in Kuta.

In Bali, the security check in most places are very strict which include this bakery cafe. The security guard would scan your body and bags to check if you're bringing any dangerous weapons before letting you enter the bakery.

After our breakfast moving on, we were heading to Tanah Lot which is one of the must visit temples in Bali. It's pretty far from Kuta (about 30 minutes ride when there is no traffic congestion) and on the way to Tanah Lot, we passed by Canggu, a beautiful place with lots of green paddy fields! On a side note, I strongly suggest you guys to visit Tanah Lot in the late afternoon as weather in Bali is crazily hot! In addition, you would be able to enjoy beautiful sunset in Tanah Lot :D

Above picture shows a traditional Balinese door which you can see in most places and just in Tanah Lot, there were already a few of such doors.

Before we get to the temple, there were lines of shops, stalls lining at the road side. As Tanah Lot is a tourism icon of Bali, thus you can get lots of souveniers, gifts here.

Such printed tees are available everywhere in Bali and everyday here you can see tourists wearing Bintang singlets or tees. That's the Bali tourists trend.

We started to feel stupid to visit Tanah Lot as such hour. It was crazily hot!

Lots of Chinese tourists were there and we had the feeling that we were the only Bruneians there and people kept mistaken us as Malaysians or Singaporeans. Lol!

We walked down to the beach area and the waves were really strong! No wonder Bali is a heaven to surfers.

We didn't go up there as it was quite a distance and also we were afraid of the poisonous sea snakes. Although the locals have been telling us these sea snakes are not poisonous but it's always better to be play safe.

After our visit to Tanah Lot, we told our driver that we wanna have our lunch at somewhere which is much cooler and he brought us here; Malioboro.

The full name of this restaurant is actually Ayam Tulang Lunak Malioboro but it's too long thus we just call it Malioboro.

The moment when we stepped in, we felt like we were in a Chinese restaurant as 80% of the patrons were Chinese tourists and this got us thinking that this probably is one of the popular dining spots for tourists.

As its full name tells, Malioboro's signature dish is 'pressurized chicken' which the bones are so soft that it is actually edible.

This bottle of Coke is only 200ml and it cost IDR10,000!

Since there were only two of us so we didn't dare to order too much thus decided to try only two of their signature dishes.

The food was actually quite yummy and we love their sambal! In fact, for every eateries we've tried in Bali that served sambal, they were all yummylicious and can really spice up your tongue! Another thing to mention is that the rice portion that Malioboro serves is actually small. But overall we did enjoy our dining experience there :)

Next stop was Discovery Shopping Mall!

We were told that Discovery Shopping Mall is the biggest mall in Bali which has many stores that offer wide varieties of products and there is even Sogo located at the underground level. It's located in Kuta and surrounding it was many different cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops which was very lively at night! Waterbom park is within walking distance (like 5 to 10 minutes) and Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel is also located next to this shopping mall but their room rates is pretty expensive.

Just behind the Discovery Shopping Mall is a beach thus it is very common to see shoppers in improper dress code; ladies in their swimsuits and topless men wearing only surfer shorts.

During our previous trip to Taiwan, I didn't get to try this so I left Taiwan with regret. When I saw this in Discovery Mall, I told Hubby I must must try it this time! And we did :D

It was already 4pm when we were done with our window shopping in Discovery Shopping Mall and we decided to get back to our car and had Nyoman drove us to Jimbaran beach.

Before our trip, I've researched quite a handful of travel information regarding Bali and according to most sources, Jimbaran is one of the must visited beaches in Bali.

Initially, I thought of coming to this place simply because of the seafood. Hubby is a seafood lover and when I found out there is one restaurant in Jimbaran beach that serves good seafood at reasonable price immediately I added this in our itinerary.

At Jimbaran beach, there are many seafood restaurants which obviously serve seafood but all of them charge differently. After reading few travel blogs that highly recommend Lia Cafe, we decided to give it a try. Most restaurants here offer both indoor and outdoor dining areas but honestly, I don't think people would really want to skip this amazing view of Jimbaran and choose to dine indoor instead.

I guess I didn't mention this in the previous entries... we actually brought 3 cameras during this trip. Yeap, 3 cameras! We brought the Lumix LX-3 so that we could make good use of the wide angle len, we brought DSLR too as it produces better picture quality and last but not least, my cute little pinkie fish eye 2 lomocam! Honestly, although I did not use that much of my lomocam throughout this trip but the outcome was still not bad~~~ I'll share with you guys next time :D

We noticed that most restaurants in Bali sell seafood by packages which each package consists of different grilled seafood as well as coconut drink, rice, salad, soup and even fruits!

Kacang! Indonesian peanuts are really delicious and it come with all sort of interesting flavours~ And we bought a lot of Kacang Disco back to Brunei for our friends and relatives to try out :D

As it was still early for sunset, we decided to order a fresh coconut to quench our thirst while enjoying the sea breeze.

The tables with blue table clothes belong to Lia Cafe while the ones with other color(s) belong to other restaurants and this is basically how you differentiate these restaurants.

There were many visitors and I guess probably because it was Sunday.

This pak cik was selling grilled corn and it is another must try food when visiting Jimbaran beach. However, I did not try it because first I did not bring any money in my pocket and secondly, I am not a big fan of corn. But still when snapping this shot, pak cik was waving and smiling happily at my camera, very friendly!

If you look closely, you can a bunch of people holding different color shades of umbrellas having their dinner while waiting for the sunset; keren~

And this is our seafood dinner! We ordered Packet A which cost IDR180,000 per set and it came with grilled fish, prawns, squids and clams for the seafood. It also consisted of 1 vegetable dish (we ordered garlic stirred fried kang kung), 1 Coconut drink and rice. The rice was served in the basket which was actually more than enough for 2 persons.

Not to forget, 3 types of condiments were served too.

The seafood here is really fresh and we really like the way how they prepared the squid, very delicious!

Another thing to highlight here is the dogs. There were quite many dogs found in this beach however don't worry cause they wouldn't attack people. They just wanna be fed thus I would say these dogs are really smart cause 'lepak-ing' in the restaurants can avoid them from getting hungry :D

Here it comes, the much awaited sunset!

To make the ambience even more lively, there was also an unplugged performance by a trio. They would go around each table and sing a song or two to the patrons. This was also shown in the video I posted in previous entry.

To be frank, this was my very first time watching sunset by the beach. What makes me even more happier was that it was with my loved one and what's more in Bali!

This is really an unique experience cause we never had such a relaxing trip before.

Every time we when traveled, we always ended up feeling tired and restless cause we were rushing here and there to do shopping and always trying our best to visit as many places as we could. But this time it was really different. We just sat by the beach doing nothing but chit-chatting, sun tanning, felt the sea breeze, watching the sunset while enjoying our food and also making friends! Like what I kept emphasizing, Balineses are really friendly and it's really easy to make new friends there.

At Lia's Cafe, few of the staffs kept coming by our table just to have a small chat with us asking where we are from and even telling us where should we visit in Bali, also the staffs would always check on us asking if we are feeling ok with the sunny weather, do we want to adjust the parasol or do we wanna get some drink and etc. That really made me feel so warmth! Even when back in home country, we hardly get this kind of service attitude or experience. I don't know if you guys agree with me but I always feel like I owe the staffs money whenever I visit most shops or eateries in Brunei.

We seriously need a change.

This whole dining experience at Jimbaran beach was really really hopelessly romantic. While the sun setting, Mr. Moon was already there and this had brought the dining experience to another level. Not long after that shining stars started to fill up the dark sky. And we just leant our back on the chair quietly enjoyed the companion of moon, stars, sound of waves, sea breeze and music.

It was already 8pm and we decided to return to our hotel for a rest then later explore Kuta's night scene.

Kuta is known as one of the most lively district in Bali. Most people love to visit Kuta as there are plenties of shops which can be found here and also tourist attractions like Water Bom Park and Discovery Shopping Mall are also located in this area. Another reason why people love to come here is that there are lines of pubs and clubs which can also be found in this area too. It's basically a must visit place especially for party people. But please remember to be cautious when visiting such places (insert Hangover 1 and 2 scenarios. HAHAHA!)

To be frank with you, quite a few of the shops here are selling counterfeit products like fake branded watches and belts. There were so many shops doing this that made us started to suspect whether shops like Nike, Quicksilver are selling authentic products or not =/

Every time when we passed by this restaurant, it was always packed with people and most of them are tourists.

It's also very common to find many such Balinese designed restaurants here.

Bubba Gump! It was such a regret that we didn't have chance to visit it. Thus, if I am to make a return trip to Bali, I'll definitely visit it!

Seafood House, I've read some positive reviews regarding this place. Perhaps, I should try it out during our next trip :P

This is pretty similar to G-Max the reverse bungee in Singapore.

After strolling down the Kuta streets, we decided to end our night by visiting Hard Rock Cafe.

It was our first Hard Rock experience and we were totally awed by it! The staffs were so friendly and cheerful! They seemed like they really like their jobs a lot and throughout the performance, they would sing along with the band and lighten up the atmosphere. And not to forget, Hard Rock Cafe is by the coldest place of all the places I've visited in Bali! HAHAHA!

Upon entering, we were welcomed by their friendly staffs and before we were led to our seats, we were told that there was a Rock Shop outlet where we can shop for the souvenirs. To be honest, it was really pricey; each tees can cost up to BN$30-50. But I still bought it anyway hahahaha :P

On a side note, Hard Rock Cafe doesn't practice any strict dress code. But of course, make sure you are in a proper attire :)

I ordered "Long Island Iced Tea" (IDR109,000) and Hubby decided to go for "Hurricane" (IDR270,000) as he wanted to purchase the Hurricane glass and keep it as a souvenir.

Spring rolls - IDR89,000. I didn't know Hubby ordered this until it was served on table and I thought it was pretty funny to come Hard Rock Cafe and eat spring rolls haha! But it actually tasted not bad, quite yummy.

And the performance started!

I've actually recorded the band performance and posted it in the previous entry. Overall, we really enjoyed our night in Hard Rock Cafe that we were even saying if we should make it a must do thing whenever we visit a place where there is Hard Rock Cafe hehehe!

Finally, the four years of endless nights rushing to finish assignments, reports, video presentations and burning midnight oil to do revision for tests and exams have came to an end.

Yeap, as you may have guessed I've completed my last exam paper of these four years just yesterday and I hereby announced that I am officially jobless hahaha!

It is indeed a complicated feeling. At one point I feel so happy that I survived these four years and graduating soon but also at the same time I am feeling sad. This is because so much things have happened within these four years; we've had funny, stressful, angry, sad, interesting moments in our university lives and I even lost two of my friends during my study years.

It is really sad that they were't able to finish off this 'race' with us but we all know that they are watching over us in heaven and blessing us so that we can help them to complete the journey. May you girls rest in peace :')

Another thing that is making me sad is that it's less likely that we are going to meet again as everyone is following their own paths doing things that they want. But still I hope we can maintain this precious friendships of us and good luck to you guys!

Indonesia: Bali - Day 1

Here is the much awaited update on our Bali trip!

As I mentioned in the previous entry that we flew two times in a day (Brunei - KL - Bali) thus during the waiting period in LCCT, we had our lunch in both McD and Marrybrown.

I gotta say the queue in McD was crazily long!

McD in KL LCCT was actually using their customized JIT system "Made for You" but still not much difference in terms of serving time; I queued till 'pek-chek' ah! And everyone was eyeing at our seats while we tried to enjoy our burgers in McD which was just so uncomfortable and it was certainly not a place to stay long. We finished our food as quick as we could and left that place immediately.

At Marrybrown, we decided to go for their Value Meal - Nasi Marrybrown and had additional order of fish fillet burger and surprisingly it tasted delicious!

Oh wait, minus the house flies.

There were plenty of house flies in LCCT airport which I really couldn't figure out why. Honestly, dining experience in any of the eateries in this airport was really horrible with these flies flying around. Plus, the whole place was so heaty!

Our flight was delayed for like half hour and all the other passengers taking the same flight with us kept questioning the staffs. I guess that's just how charismatic Bali is haha! Everyone just can't wait to visit Bali :D

Finally, the gate was opened and because we bought the 'hot seats', we were given priority to board the plane before other passengers. I know some people might be thinking that there is no point paying extra money for the 'hot seats' but in my opinion I think that's not true. If you ever fly with Air Asia then you would know how uncomfortable the seats are and the legs room was so small! We just couldn't stand thus every time when we are flying with Air Asia we would rather pay extra to get the first row seats.

Bought lemon tea to quench thirst

When we finally arrived Bali it was already 10pm.

One thing which I find it interesting was that we were provided shuttle bus service from our plane to the arrival check point of the Bali airport.

I know that in Brunei International Airport, there would be a 'connecting pathway' thus passengers do not have to wall a long distance from departure area to board the plane. Meanwhile in Bali, shuttle bus service is provided. However, sadly to say that it's been years and KL LCCT airport still do not provide such service. They just love to see passengers walking for long distance to board the plane under the big sun and some times even during rainy days. And what I hate most was when using the zebra crossing there. Those drivers didn't even bother to stop and let the passengers pass through. They would just honked you to give you signal so that you would make a way for them to pass O.o

Indonesian airports do provide 'on the spot Visa application' service thus it's very convenient. But for Bruneian passports Visa is not required to enter the country.

Regarding money changer, there are plentiful of them inside this airport and you would never miss it as they are located just next to the exit door. The rates for each money changer were the same during our visit thus basically we just chose the one with staff who looked more honest but still 'beh zhun' one. Make sure you check the amount of the money that you are changing and double check the money that they gave you. Believe it or not, we actually received a piece of fake note and only realized it after we were told by the cashier at a departmental store. And I strongly suggest you guys to prepare Singaporean Dollars instead of Bruneian Dollars.

As I mentioned in the summary post, Bali is so big that we decided to fully experienced it by staying in two different hotels & villa during our 1 week visit. On our first two nights, we were staying in Mercure Kuta Hotel located within the center of Kuta city. I made the booking through Agoda and later booked for the airport pick up service by emailing the staff of Mercure Kuta. It costed us US$12 per trip.

So when we exit the arrival hall, there was already a man holding the A4 paper with our names written on it :D

Kuta is pretty near to the airport thus less than half hour we found ourselves in the bustling city already. As expected, the traffic was really bad. Throughout this trip, we managed to experience the impressive driving skills of Indonesians; a 2 lanes road became 4 lanes and almost all the drivers we met were so confident with their car brakes. No kidding. However, yet we were actually told that this was incomparable to Jakarta where the traffic condition was even worse.

Bali - The Island of Gods

Odysseys surfing school is located within this hotel and if you're interested in learning surfing you can sign up for the courses here. Next to it is Surfer Girl which is a popular boutique in Bali for ladies selling swim suits.

As you can see, that's the main door while toilet is on the right hand side in this picture. Oh btw, there were so many channels to watch on the tv!

Inside the toilet. One very unique thing I found in this room was the toilet's door. It was not sliding door nor the usual door with door knob that we see but a classic Balinese door; so cool!

Surprisingly, quite a number of amenities were provided and the two bottles placed on the right was complimentary mineral water provided by the hotel daily.

This is how it looks like and yeap, you're guessing it right. The bottle is reused. Many places in Bali are actually promoting "Go Green" concept and it is also common if your housekeeper only replace your used towels once every 2 days. Most hotels in Bali are practicing this.

OH! Before I forget, I must mention this here. The tap water in Bali tasted so salty! Hahaha! Basically, we were showering with salt water daily haha!

Alright, enough with the hotel and let's talk about our first meal in Bali!

Although we were feeling very exhausted but we were also very curious and eager in exploring Bali; especially the night life of bustling Kuta.

In Kuta, most of the shops and eateries are located close to each other but yet some places required transport. It is a common scene to find such horse ride in Kuta and taxis are also available everywhere. However, I would suggest you guys to take the Bluebird cab instead and make sure that the meter is on. You can see the Balinese walls on the right in this picture and that's actually where the Kuta beach is located.

We passed by this restaurant/lounge named Rosso Vivo and the ambience was soo soooo gooood! There were even performance during weekends. Everyone looked so relaxing and enjoying there!

After walking for some distances, we found a food court and decided to have the authentic Indonesian food there.

This place reminds me of Tamu Selera back in Brunei haha!

Helloooo readers!

As promised I'm gonna write a summary entry regarding our recent trip to Bali. Like I mentioned in the previous post, we did not draft any itinerary/schedule for this trip thus everything was planned last minute. But thank god, we still managed to visit most of the "must visit places" in Bali such as Jimbaran Beach, Ku De Ta and etc.

In this summary, not only that I will include our itinerary but also some details like our traveling expenses such as flights, accommodation, transportation in Bali and etc. But before that, let me brief you guys some information regarding Bali.

I bet most of you are already aware that Bali is actually part of Indonesia and the meaning of its name is known as "The Island of Gods". This is also why over 90% of the Balinese are followers of Hindu while the rest of the population are mainly Muslims, Christians or even Buddhists. Thus, don't be surprised if you see some restaurants or warung serving pork. In fact, most of the restaurants here serve pork and the signature Balinese dishes are Babi Guling (Roasted Pork) and Pork Spareribs. Honestly, the trip wouldn't be completed without trying out these two dishes.

However, fret not if you're a Muslim because Halal restaurants can still be found in certain areas. Just remember to do your homework before traveling and be extra cautious because unlike Brunei, the eateries in Bali usually don't put up the halal sign. Make sure you ask the staffs before deciding to have your meal there. One good thing is that fast food restaurants such as Burger King, McDonald's, KFC are serving halal food but probably not beef. This is because Hindu followers do not consume beef. Thus, you can see that these franchised fast food restaurants only serve chicken so that it can cater everyone.

Bali is slightly smaller than Brunei and is made up by different cities on the island. The most prominent cities are Kuta, Seminyak, Ubud and Denpasar (which is its capital city).

I gotta say I am deeply touched and inspired by the Balinese culture. Bali has just too much to offer, too much. I've always been nagging about visiting Bali since many years ago and when I finally stepped on the land of Bali, it was just like a dream came true. After this trip, I finally understood why do people keep revisit Bali over and over again. It's just simply an amazing place and I am looking forward for a revisit soon (hopefully!).

Transportation

In my opinion, traveling in Bali is ain't easy with your own transportation. Similar to Brunei, most places in Bali are scattered around the cities. I've seen some foreigners rented motorbikes and taxis are also available in most places so it's pretty convenient. But still I prefer hiring a driver that come with a car. By paying either a full day rate or half day rate (depending on your needs), I can have the driver driving us around the cities to places where we want to visit. However, mind you that he is only a driver thus do not expect him to give you detailed explanation regarding the Balinese culture, places and so on. If you prefer the latter one then it's better to hire a tour guide.

For the first few days of our transportation, we hired a driver from Sila Bali Tours and his name is Nyoman. The rate we paid was IDR 450,000 for full day rate; for half day it is IDR 300,000.

Indonesia: Bali - We are back!

Ola people!

We are back from our Bali trip and now we are having post-holidays syndrome; we just love Bali soooo much! It's seriously one of the best places to visit whether with your family or your partner. I wouldn't really suggest one to travel there alone as Bali has just too much to offer that it could get a little lonely and boring without a person beside you to share with.

Many many many people have been asking us if we were having our honeymoon in Bali. I'm fed up of answering so this shall be the last time I am explaining it again. Due to past projects and work stress, Hubby suggested that we should have a trip to somewhere where we can totally relax our minds. It was purely just a getaway. Why Bali? Cause we have never been there before and we are rather bored of the usual places which we visit. We thought since we are spending the money anyways, why not just go somewhere further?

I am unsure if you guys do feel this every time when you travel but this happens to us many times. In our past trips, we always made a long list of places that we wanted to visit or must visit. Ended up we did not enjoy the trip as much as we could. Why? Because we were rushing here and there! We had to follow the itinerary that we set and tried our very best to finish visiting all the places listed down so that no regrets. This is why we never had a really good rest during our so called holidays and we always look like a walking zombie whenever we returned from a trip. That is why, for this Bali trip I did not draft out itinerary. We wanted it to be a free and easy trip; a totally stress-free trip.

The most hilarious part is Hubby and I have been traveling alone as a couple to few places but no one ever did mention anything about honeymoon. But this time, we just changed our destination to Bali and *poof!* everyone bombarded us with questions such as are we having our sweet honeymoon in Bali and etc. I understand that people always think Bali is a very romantic place (it is!) but it's very tiring for us to explain it over and over again thus I am posting it up here hoping that people can understand that and respect us.

There is simply just too much to share about Bali so I'll write up a summary in another post and start blogging as soon as I finish sorting the photos.

Hello from Bali!

Hey guys, I am currently having my short holidays with Hubby in Bali and it has already been 4 days since we the day we arrived here.

We are enjoying Bali a lot and I just finished packing up our stuffs to get ready for transferring later. We are moving in to a local villa by the way, yippeeeeee!

Until now, we still haven't get a chance to try out the Balinese massage or spa treatment. Hopefully we have ample time for it today and I must say that the weather here is bloodily hot! It's similar to what we had experienced during our previous trip to Taiwan in 2010. But I must also say, Balineses are really friendly and helpful!

Oh, I must share this thought of mine!

For your information, most of the Balinese are Hindu thus they do not eat beef. And the choices left for them are chicken and pork. My friend had brought me to try out one of the local delicacies Babi Guling in a local warung and the meat was soo sooo tender I tell ya (pics will me up soon!).

Empire Lobby Lounge

Ok, this is a really long due post. I went there last Aug and only after the CNY 2012 has over then I remembered I have not shared this on my blog =___________=|||

So on that night Hubby, SKY and I was looking for a place to chillax then we thought why not try out 'atas-atas' place like Empire Hotel Lobby Lounge and that's basically how we ended up there.

Oh, not to forget we also bumped into Mr. Tiger Lim and his family :D

Honestly, it was really a good experience. Although there were still people passing by but as compared to the crowd during day time, it's still far better as it was less chaotic.

Despite the 10% service charge, I personally think the cakes and pastries are quoted at a very reasonable price. There were lots of choices available like from breads to pastries to cake and even macarons!

On that night, we had Caramel Praline Chocolate Cake, White Chocolate Mousse Cake and Chicken Quesadilla. As for the beverages, we had Pina Colada, Shirley Temple and Banana Milk Shake.

With the good food and environment, I really don't mind going so far just to lim teh, seriously!

KK Trip: December 2011

Hey guys! How was your CNY? I have to say mine was pretty hectic during the first week.. lots of house visitings, open houses and etc. In other words, it mean lots of FOOD! Anyways, I'll share my CNY 2012 photos in another entry while today I'm gonna blog about my previous trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Ok ok, I understand that I haven't even finish blogging bout my August KL Trip and now I'm blogging bout another trip =_______________=||| I've procrastinated long enough thus, I'm gonna finish off this KK travelogue in just one post! Awesome? YEAH~~~

If you have been reading my blog then you should know that Hubby and I visit KK frequently. We try to to make it an annual thing and there was even once which we visited KK 3 times in a year. Last December, we did it again and as usual there was only 2 of us during this road trip to KK.

During this trip, we have stayed in two different hotels which are Courtyard Hotel (1Borneo Hypermall) and Imperial Bouctec Hotel (Warisan Square, Waterfront).

Alright, let's move on~

# Day 1

We were watching the movie named 'Fortune Buddies' in car while waiting for the custom gate to be opened. This movie is so hilarious! It is a must watch I tell ya!

After long hours of driving we finally reached KK and checked in Courtyard Hotel located in 1Borneo.

All I gotta say for this hotel is "you pay for you get" - no doubt the room rate per night is cheap but this hotel is pretty run down considering that it's only few years old.

The walls of the room was decorated with wall papers which at first glance may make you feel "wow" however if you look close enough, most of the wall papers are already torn just like the above picture.

After checking in, we decided to look for a place for lunch and until now we still don't know why the heck did we decided to dine in The Hong Kong Recipe. It was really bad. The staffs there were rude and we waited really long time for them to serve us. What made me really disappointed was that they were having lunch promotion but they did not even care to inform us which ended up we had to order ala carte dishes and which these ala carte dishes were the same dishes as their promotional dishes except for the higher price quote. Food was served cold as well. The total damage for this meal was RM74.80 just for 2 persons. Really really expensive and I don't think I would ever wanna step in that restaurant anymore.

After our lunch, we started shopping in 1Borneo. Hubby and I was pretty shocked to see that the building was pretty run down; toilets not as clean as before and yet they still charge people for using it, cracked tiles everywhere and also some of the shops that we used to visit had closed down. We really did not expect this at all!

For dinner, Kiat (Hubby's cousin residing in KK) came to look for us and we had it settled in Siaw Er Bak Kut Teh. We had bad experience when dining there during our 2010 trip but after knowing that another management had took over the restaurant, we decided to give it another go. It really turned out not bad at all! Really showed some improvements :D

# Day 2

Woke up in the morning and decided to head over to Old Town for breakfast.

The room rate in Imperial Boutec Hotel was higher than Courtyard plus I opted for the city view room thus it's even more pricey. However, room is big enough with ample walking space so still ok ok lar~~~

Had our late lunch in Koryo Jeong Korean Restaurant. It's one of our favourite restaurants in KK as it is one of the very few places that you can taste authentic Korean dishes plus it serves pork :)

Alright, so on our second day in KK, Kiat brought us to a restaurant located at Hilltop and also named as Hilltop Restaurant. This restaurant is not located within the KK city so if you're unclear of KK roads then it would seem pretty hard for you to find.. but fret not! You can try to locate the restaurant using GPS! *Me gusta~*

It was my first visit to Hilltop Restaurant although I've read some reviews about this restaurant and had also heard it from Hubby. Honestly, I personally prefer to dine in such old school Chinese restaurants rather then the franchised or higher end restaurants in KK. Reasons being it's a lot cheaper and also more localised mah~

So right after dinner, Kiat brought us to City Mall which was just nearby the Penampang area. City Mall is a mid sized shopping complex where you can find many boutiques here. And of course, you can also find a supermarket here which is Giant! Honestly, in M'sia you can easily find KFC and Giant; they are everywhere~

# Day 3

So on our day 3 in KK, we woke up early and couldn't find a good place for breakfast thus ended up in McD munching the Prosperity Burger.

Had this but no see we HUAT ler; cheat one :(

Frankly speaking, we were pretty upset to have McD for breakfast. Firstly, whenever I'm traveling abroad I would try my best not to dine in any franchised restaurants which Brunei already has. In addition, I'm not a big fan of McD. The long queue is already a pain yet we still have to wait for the staffs to prepare/cook the food after we placed our order. In such situation, having chicken rice seems much logic and cheaper. Chicken rice ftw!

So after our breakfast, we went back to Karamunsing as Hubby finally made up his mind to get a new desktop (we surveyed and compared the prices between 4 or 5 shops I think). It took quite awhile for him to choose the specs and my feet were really soared after standing in the shop for such long time :(

After making the payment, we left to grab our lunch while the technician assembled the parts. We chose to dine in Little Italy as we were doing our shopping in Suria Sabah which is just nearby.

Sri Lembayung, Kiulap

Just a few days before examination in the previous semester, I had a chance to meet up Kang and Sheena (also known as DJ Madison from UBDFM) and had lunch together.

Due to that Kang was going to Kiulap to pick up some study materials thus we decided to just dine in that area. However, the three of us couldn't decide where to dine as we were eager to try out something new and honestly speaking, I think we have tried out almost all the eateries in this area. And then, suddenly I remembered there was a newly established Indonesian restaurant located in Kiulap thus I whatsapped them urgently and we all agreed to try it out.

This new Indonesian restaurant is named Sri Lembayung. It is situated on the ground floor in Seri Purnama Complex; the building behind HSBC Kiulap.

I guess most of you are aware that one of the most recognition Indonesian dishes is Ayam Penyet. However, Sri Lembayung is actually trying to introduce another significant Indonesian dishes to the locals which is Nasi Padang.

Some of you might be confused what is Nasi Padang and if you do have time, you might wanna read it up here. But in my own dictionary, I think it is similar to Nasi Campur in Brunei or Nasi Kandar in Malaysia. The concept of these three types of dishes are pretty much the same except for the different names given and as well as the different of cultural backgrounds have shaped it.

I would say if you wish to understand more of the Indonesia food culture then perhaps Nasi Padang at Sri Lembayung is a good start for you. The restaurant would prepare few varieties of Indonesian dishes for patrons to choose the dishes they want to try daily. And they even have set lunch menu available which is much cheaper when compared to ala carte. Not only Nasi Padang, Sri Lembayung also serves Sate but I have yet to try it as I thought it was too expensive.

It was rather a good dining experience for three of us and I love the bird cages! Haha I seriously don't know why I like it and even Sheena also went "AWW!" when she saw the bird cages haha!

In last November 2011, we welcomed a new family member and named it Cooper and obviously enough, the name is derived from the car brand Mini Cooper hehe

Since its arrival, it has really brought lotsa joy to the family and of course created lotsa funny epic moments haha! For example, Cooper loves his pink towel and toy ball a lot. He loves them so much that whoever snatches them away from him, he would go after to chase it back. He hates bathing so much that he would start playing hide and seek if he sees his dog shampoo bottle. And after bathing, he likes to roll on the grass which seriously made the effort of bathing him wasted =________=

Cooper has got the innocent looks just like the character "Puss In The Boots" in Shrek and this is why Hubby really dotes him a lot and always feed him with good food haha!

Babu's Kitchen (New branch at Gadong Central)

With most entrepreneurs choosing to establish their businesses in areas such as Gadong, Kiulap and now, Airport area now, I ever wondered which type of business industry would Gadong Central become.

But little did I know it is a new hot spot for our local food industry.

If you're local, you should already know that old Gadong is well known for the area where countless car garages are located. But other than that, it is also known as an area where many of our local signature kopitiams are located such as Jing Chew, Sing U Me, Tasty Corner and many more.

Thus, with the opening of new concept restaurants in Gadong Central, it is for sure that it would bring in some new elements to our local food scene.

So today, am gonna share some pictures of Babu's Kitchen which is located at the Gadong Central :)

Honestly, even before the establishment of Babu's Kitchen first branch in CBD area, my cousins and I have always been their loyal customers. It could also be said that we had spent part of our childhood walking hand in hand, blocks to blocks just to purchase some drinks to quench our thirst. At that time, it was still a home business which was located very close to where we stayed (just few steps away!). It was indeed a good ol' memories which we all shared!

Anyways, if you've never heard of Babu's Kitchen then you should give it a try very soon!

My family are actually fans of Babu's Kitchen but due to the location of its first branch (in CBD area), chances of us dining there is very slim as you know how hard it could be to get a good parking spot in bandar area. But now with the opening of their new branch in Gadong Central, it has really eased the parking problems and I can just drop by any time, any day I want!

All I can say is I really like its new branch; it is soooo spacious and even has 2 VIP rooms! I personally think that it is really a very good spot especially for tea session with friends.

Again, if you're new to Babu's Kitchen then perhaps you wanna try out these dishes of theirs which I personally think are must try!

Birthday brunch at Atrium Cafe, The Empire Hotel

Hey people! How's new year been treating you so far?

This is a long awaited post which I was supposed to post it last year but I didn't get to hehe

My mom celebrated her 50th birthday last month (or last year :P) and we had family brunch at Atrium Cafe. It wasn't my first time having buffet at Atrium Cafe thus there wasn't anything special to mention. But if I really have to then it would be their pasta station which patrons could choose the type of pasta they would like to have and type of sauce based on their preference. The chef would cook on the spot for you and serve to you while it's still hot. What I love most was actually the chocolate fondue! :D

Total amount of the bill was almost $80 for 5 adults and Hubby was eligible to free meal due to his Empire Select membership.

BYE 2011. HELLO 2012.

It's just like a blink of eye and 2011 is going soon, like very soon.

It has been a wonderful year with so much stuffs happened be it good or bad but I still managed to learn a lot.

It is said to be a very fruitful year and also a wonderful year as I really met a lot of different people who were willing to share their stories with me and taught me lots of stuffs that we are unable to learn from education institutes. That's what we called 'Life Experience'.

"You will never understand it until you live through it"

Here is a recap on what has happened overall in my 2011 ^^

1. My parents finally received confirmation letter from Govt. regarding the perumahan housing application after the long wait of 17 years.

2. I am already in my last year of university life and another few months to go till I get my "toilet paper". Jia you!

3. Had work attachment at KPMO and worked with fun people :D

4. Met too many new people during the attachment which was really an eye opener when people were willing to share their thoughts and experience to me. It was indeed a life lesson.

5. Revisited Kuala Lumpur City after 2 years.

6. Bought the most expensive dress ever in my life.

7. Also bought my first Levi's jeans. (Hubby said le me sakai =.=)

8. Got my customized Longchamp bag all the way from UK and it's a gift from Hubby :)

9. Had a chance to taste macarons from Pierre Herme.

10. Significant decrease in keeping this blog updated due to millions of errands waiting for me to settle. It is just to sad too see this blog being so deadly but I am bad in time management as well.

11. New family member in da house! And I am referring to Hubby's pet dog, Cooper. Everyone is loving him to bits!

Alright, I think these sum up for my wonderful 2011. Actually there is more but I am just too lazy to list down :P

Anyways, Good Bye 2011! You've treated me well and Hello 2012! Hope you're really not the 'end' haha!

Happy 26th Birthday Hubby!

Few days ago we had dinner together with SKY and Hwa at Capers Restaurant.

It was supposed to be just a simple Christmas dinner but we ended up giving Hubby a birthday surprise which it turned out really well (even though it was pretty last minute haha!).

In the past, perfume was considered the top choice when it comes to buying gift for Hubby. The reason being that the items on his wish list are commonly known as something which are pretty unacceptable as a gift due to the price tags (he surely knows how to pamper himself, lol!). To save the trouble, we normally just get him perfume since he likes to collect it. However, this year was slightly different.

Ever since the opening of Toys R Us outlet, he has been telling us how much he loved to play Lego when he was still a young kid and the story just goes on and on. Thus we, the 3 musketeers all came to a same decision of getting him Lego for his 26th birthday haha!

It was pretty tough at first cause knowing that Hubby LOVE the animated movie Cars to bits, I tried to find the Cars Lego set in local stores but couldn't find it at all. And when I decided to bid it off eBay, sadly to say, I lost bid to another bidder. Finally one day while I was doing window shopping in Toys R Us, I found the same Cars Lego set which I bid and the price was much cheaper than what eBay offered.

I have confidence that this has gotta to be his favourite birthday gift from us all these years hahaha!

And also, Hubby has a habit of pampering himself with the goodies that he has listed in his wishlist. Without any exception, this year he has bought himself a new desktop which he customized the specs himself. Guess it's really his fruitful year!

Anyway, today is the official day that he is turning 26 and I really wish you have a wonderful birthday!!!

Jerudong Polo Club Hi Tea Buffet

During one of the Sundays in early November this year, my family and I was invited to attend my nephew's 10 years old birthday party.

It was hosted at Jerudong Polo Club and the reason why they chose there was because my nephew (a.k.a the birthday boy) wanted to swim. My cousin (a.k.a birthday boy's mom) was actually having hard time making decision between Riverview Poolside and Jerudong Polo Club but she still ended up choosing the latter one as she found out it has pool for children while the other one doesn't have.

It was my first dining experience in Jerudong Polo Club. Over the years, I've heard a lot of good reviews from people saying that they serve really good sungkai buffet but I always didn't have a chance to try it out. This time I was there for their hi tea buffet. There wide varieties of food available for the hi tea buffet and frankly speaking, I didn't even manage to try out all the food.

Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience there and it is a very good choice for family to spend their quality weekends there!

Mochi Frozen Yogurt, The Airport Mall

With the recent opening of few dessert houses, I could sense that gelato days are over and it seems like froyo (frozen yogurt) is the next 'in' thing in town.

The latest addition to this is Mochi Frozen Yogurt located on the ground floor of newly established Airport Mall (next to Times Square). It is very easy to spot as it is situated near to the main entrance.

I personally think that it has got really good brand packaging and this can be easily tell from the design of the logo. If you look carefully, the 'o' & 'c' actually resembles a bunny and by choosing green as the main color is a very wise choice as it gives a refreshing feel and very attention catchy! What's more with the contemporary interior design in the dessert house, it really can make every customers feel "over the moon"!

There are two sizes available which are solo and sumo and obviously enough, solo means regular size while sumo means large. I decided to go for the sumo size which came with 2 choices of toppings. As for the ice cream flavors, there are two types available which are original and blue berries and since the staff told me that I could have combination of both so I ended up with mixed flavor. For toppings, the staff recommended us to choose honeydew mochi and mini nata balls and so we took her advice. The price for sumo with 2 toppings is $5.

Verdict:

As the ice cream is made of yogurt so it's common that the ice cream tastes sour and in fact, Hubby and I prefer this as it didn't have the 'after taste' like usual ice cream. What we mean here is that most of the times after eating ice cream, the sweet taste of the ice cream would linger for quite some time and there is always high chance of us feeling thirsty right after eating ice cream. However, after finishing the Mochi Frozen Yogurt, we didn't experienced this and in fact, we had the urge to have second round. So I guess this is shows the difference between the usual ice cream that we always eat and froyo. However, the toppings weren't as good as we thought. The honeydew mochi's texture actually tasted like marshmallows more and the IQ balls was tasteless and hard. And I think the portion of the froyo was little than what I expected.

Currently, Mochi Frozen Yogurt is having soft opening promotion with 15% discount on all yogurt items until 31st December 2011. Do give it a try ;)

Hey guys!

Just wanna inform everyone that in case you're unaware, Chempaka Restaurant had already closed its door for a month break starting from 25th November 2011 (Friday) and business will resume on 26th December 2011 (Monday).

Although dine in is not available but if you guys would like to buy rice dumplings, it's available on 28th & 29th November 2011. You may pre-order it if you're interested.

It was fortunate that Hubby and I was able to visit it on Thursday (the eve of its closure day)

This steamed egg dish maybe a simple dish to most people but it is one of the must try dishes in Chempaka Restaurant!
