So many emails received from friends in Philippine asking to check the shoes

I am trying to give you strict guidelines on the business and Onitsuka Tiger shoes

I have put some reputable websites on my previous post and show you the market price. The cheapest price for OT shoes in the world may be USA with low import taxes there. If you are receiving a shoes cheaper than what sell in USA you need to QUESTION this
I am not telling all are fake but you need to have common sense, I know we trying to browse a cheap shoes. Again if this looks too good to be true please do not buy, unless you are do not mind to wear fake which will wear off within a year
All my shoes can be wear more than 3 years just the discolouration on the upper but do not have any problem with out sole being broken etc. Onitsuka tiger is good quality shoes therefore they are come with price.
Chinese manufacture has done their research based on article appear how to spot fake etc and their product if you only check online will be exactly the same, but once you received them you will notice the quality on material etc. Just do COD if you are within the country
I do not believe sellers that selling in instagram, facebook from Philippine that you send through to me in general if they can not provide me with details how they get the item if they claim they are Authentic. Some of them try to trick you with Original quality/AAA or something. Again ask your question to your vendor.

I am not working with Onitsuka Tiger and I just try to help everyone to get the authentic shoes that you want it. We can not stop the Chinese manufacture with their mass production of fake shoes, but certainly we can be cautious about what we purchase if you are really love Onitsuka Tiger.

I got a lot of questions in regard spotting FAKE shoes.

Some always get repeated over and over, therefore on this post I will be listing FACT on Onitsuka Tiger so you can refer all your concern here first before sending email to me.

I am still willing to answer your questions via blog or email, but it will take sometimes to reply as I get busier these days with my daily work.

Official website for onitsuka tiger is www.onitsukatiger.com meaning no OTHER website that has onitsukatiger attached on their domain are not official.
If you want check the spec on the shoes please open the following link : www.asics.co.jp/onitsukatiger. The link is for ASICS japan and you can translate them at google chrome. This website give you product details, origin country of manufacturing and also the detail on release date on some new product that ASICS will be launching in the market. For me this is really informative website.
I understand that we are shopping around to get best price and good quality product. As I mention each area of the world has they set RRP for Onitsuka Tiger. If you think the price are too good to be True then please re-consider to buy as will be 80% possibilities product that you will buy is FAKE.
There is no such overruns shoes from Factory/warehouse selling in the market rather than counterfeit shoes. If your seller has a lot of range Onitsuka Tiger with a lot of range of sizes you MUST ask the authenticity of the shoes. I could find some seller in INDONESIA selling original/authentic OT as they made in this country and some insider bring the stock outside selling illegal. This is different case and must be NOTED, but again the size range will be limited.
I also have review some shoes in my previous listing which they are the popular color in the market. Please take a look my listing and let me know if you still confuse with my explanation and try my best to make them clear for you. I understand as really hard for person that never deal with this shoes just spotting them using picture from online website.

For sometimes I am wondering on Ebay that they have clear all the seller that selling counterfeit Onitsuka Tiger, but yesterday I saw they all coming back close to Christmas Time.

I am writing this to make aware for all of us and hope you guys find good and real deal.

Please shoot me email or sharing your link therefore we all know and aware on seller that sell FAKE shoes.

As I always said WE LOVE OUR SHOES AND BRAND but not FAKE one :)

I Love My Shoes , but NOT the FAKE One

I were at the bank this afternoon and waiting on the line. I met with one man wearing FAKE Onitsuka Tiger shoes ( he does not know that the shoes are FAKE).

I started the conversation with him with a question asking where he got the shoes from and he replied with kindly and confidence answer "He got them ONLINE and FROM CHINA with mark that supplier tell them that Onitsuka Tiger made in CHINA"

He paid $35 for the shoes and of course very cheap for Onitsuka Tiger shoes and he still believe that they are proper one (authentic).

I only can tell him not to buy from them again. I believe he pretty shocked when I told him that the shoes are FAKE. I open my mobile phone and shown him the Authentic version for his shoes.

Also if you are buying the shoes from CHINA manufacture you are expecting the shoes should be label as made in China, but the tag size printed as MADE in VIETNAM. Lucky he only pay $35 for the shoes some others that I found on Ebay sell them for above $80 for FAKE shoes.

As you can see both are " ALMOST" identical, but both are different if you take a moment and look them carefully.

I can tell he loves his shoes, but I am sure not for the FAKE one.

In summary as I always draft them here, please ask your supplier a question until you are satisfy with what are you buying. $35 still money that we can spend for something legit rather than buy a FAKE version on your favorite item.

Understand it will be hard for all of us to spot fake version on Onitsuka Tiger shoes as Chinese supplier has improved their method to produce the shoes and want to make it 100% identical. The aim is for you to always BEWARE with FAKE item !!!!

The back heel for this color code must be made from "Suede" (only for this style)

On my previous post I have given you some link that talk and review about FAKE Onitsuka Tiger that floating around in the market.

But since then the Chinese Producer has learned and watched this remarks from Internet to improve their production to make it their product identical to the Authentic one.

Once again the attention on detail needed for you to avoid get rip off with this New and Improved FAKE Onitsuka Tiger.

Some of the points that previous writer and articles that may you have read still apply on the FAKE shoes as guidance for you.

On this review I will use one shoes Onitsuka tiger Mexico 66 Code HL202-1659 Color Birch/ Indian Ink/ Latte.

I will give you step by step how to Spot the FAKE one.

On this first picture the left hand side shoes are Authentic one the right hand side is FAKE grade AAA from China.

Left hand side shoes are produce in Indonesia while the right hand side mark as Made in Vietnam.

From this angle you will not see any different in this both shoes looks identical.

First, different that you can spot from this picture is the printed logo inside the insole. FAKE shoes has Bright Green ink used to print the logo while the authentic ones using lighter green color ink.

From this angle you can see the color different on both shoes. The authentic shoes for code HL202-1659 has lighter beige color while the FAKE one has creamer color. You also can notice the leather appearance on these 2 shoes. The Authentic shoes has high quality leather and not glossy, while the FAKE one using glossy cheap leather.

On the picture above I want to show you all the different on stitching on both shoes. The left hand side is FAKE Onitsuka tiger while the right one is Authentic one. You can see on Authentic shoes the stitching done perfectly right up to the end of the stripes line and very neat, while the FAKE's one has uneven stitching and poorly done.

From this picture you can see the color of outer sole also different. The FAKE's one has light Grey color while the Authentic one has light cream color. The picture below will show you clear the different on both shoes

On the previous review from other writer, most of them mention about FAKE shoes has logo on their outer sole. But, the new and improved FAKE shoes has already no logo on their outer shoes.BEWARE!!! as I usually see this on Ebay and other online website.

When you buy your Onitsuka Tiger, the insole on all Onitsuka Tiger shoes always FIXED and not removable. Only FAKE shoes that has removable insole.

The weight on authentic shoes compare with FAKE one much lighter. A pair of authentic Onitsuka Tiger average only weight around 600grm , while FAKE shoes weight around 800grm-1kg. For this indicator will be very hard to spot without comparing direct side by side.

Last picture that may can help you to spot FAKE Onitsuka Tiger is the back heel flap material used for both shoes. The FAKE one using synthetic leather which has smooth appearance while the real shoes using real and high quality leather.

It is really scary for Onitsuka Tiger Fans knowing that the shoes that they loves and bought might FAKE.

I could understand that is will be really hard for user to deal with this matter as they are online market, so you can not observe the shoes before receiving the goods that you purchase.

Please ask them to provide detail picture before you buy the shoes, as they normally put google picture on their listing. After that please compare to link on my previous posting as a guide for you that they are genuine and not FAKE
Please choose the supplier that close to your country or located in your country as easy for you if you do not happy with your purchase you can return them immediately.
This is always important for you to ask the Product code on the shoes, than you can search them on google. Product code that given must match with Onitsuka Tiger's Official Website otherwise please continue to ask supplier with more questions as sometimes there is discontinued stock sale on Ebay as well.
China Products are not always FAKE, but you have to put on your mind if supplier location different with product location will be a BIG questions mark !!!

Onitsuka Tiger is an internationally renowned shoe company which has been supplying athletic footwear since the 1940s to basketball and football players as well as dozens of other athletes and sports stars around the world.

History

Onitsuka Tiger is one of the oldest shoe companies in Japan, tracing its history back to the formation of Onitsuka Co Ltd in 1949 when the 31 year old former military officer, Onitsuka started his company with the hopes of raising postwar youth self-esteem through athletics.

Onitsuka Tiger’s first product was a basketball shoe resembling a straw sandle in many ways. The design was discarded by many and Onitsuka returned to the design stage to better acclimate his shoes for the way in which basketball players started and stopped on the floor. By adding cups and small spaces in the soles of his basketball shoes, Onitsuka made a more effecitve shoe in 1952 which soon became popular throughout Japan.

Onitsuka Tiger worked with Marathon runner Tooru Terasaw in 1953 to develop a running shoe that would keep long distance runners from developing blisters. Legendary Ethiopian runner, Abebe Bikila started wearing Onitsuka Tiger shoes in 1957, the first time in his running career he had ever worn shoes, convinced by Onitsuka that they would be superior to his barefoot style.

In 1972, GTO, Jelenk, and Onitsuka combined their financial and athletic positions to build a regional sales offce near Hokkaido for the Sapporo Winter Olympics that would lead to the eventual 1977 merger of all three companies known as ASICS. Today, the company is still known as ASICS and provides shoes to retailers around the globe. The ASICS acronym stands for “Anima Sana in Corpore Sano” or “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body.” The company has recently placed significant emphasis on the translation of the acronym.
