Eagles: Peterson Signs Deal and Changes His Name

This change might be synonymous of a new start for the player who did play in a game in nearly 14 months because of back problems. Peterson was regarded as one of the NFL’s emerging young cornerbacks in 2004. Cornerback Dexter Wynn, who is a sixth-round selection in the 2004 draft, has to leave the roster in order to make some room for the newly signed player. In his three seasons with the Eagles, Wynn appeared in 28 games. General manager Tom Heckert explained that he always admired James as a player. When James was playing with the Giants, he already tries to sign him two times. No wonder, James is an outstanding good cover cornerback player, who has good size, and a very productive player when healthy.
