Britannia extend Stoke City sponsorship deal

Stoke City and Britannia announced that one of the longest-running shirt sponsorship deals in English football history has been extended by another four years.

The Premier League Club have secured a new agreement worth almost £4 million which means Britannia, now part of the Co-operative Financial Services (CFS), will continue as their Principal Club Partner to 2013.

The relationship is the longest sponsorship the Potters have ever had and - from 2010 - the longest shirt sponsorship in the Premier League.
The deal extends the shirt sponsorship to 16 years and strengthens further an overall commitment that will span 20 years, one which commenced back in 1997 when Britannia secured the naming rights to the new stadium.

The long-running partnership also includes the Save and Support account which is the most successful account of its kind in the country.With 18,000 account holders, it has contributed almost £7 million in commission back to the club since it began in 1997.

Olympique Lyonnais, BetClick and Universal Music have taken a groundbreaking initiative by deciding to promote the name of rapper KOOL SHEN through a sponsoring on the shirt of OL for the game Sunday against Marseille, one of the biggest games in Ligue 1.

The rapper, is a poker fan, and a supporter of PSG who has a relation with Betclick. For the promotion of his new album “Crisis of Conscience”, Released November 2, Universal Music and Betclick joined forces.

According to the club, it is the 1st time in Europe, an artist received a prestigious sponsorship for promoting his new album.

KOOL SHEN, co-frontman of NTM is happy to benefit from this initiative, "I am passionate about football, to find me on the jersey of the seven-time champion of France is a great honour.

The president of the AFA unveiled the new Argentina World Cup 2010 Home Adidas football shirt in an event held today.

The new 10/12 Home shirt shows similarity to the Shirt worn at the World Cup 86 in Mexico.

The designer himself acknowledged that it is a retro design, and took inspiration from the legendary shirt worn by Maradona at the World Cup 86

The shirt will have its debut in the next friendly match against Spain, and will be available through the FSC Shop.

We already showed you a leaked France 2010 shirt picture last week, but today Raymond Domenech has revealed the list of players selected for the two meetings for the 2010 World Cup playoff, against the Republic of Ireland.

At the press conference, the French coach also unveiled the new 10/12 Home adidas shirt, which the Blues will wear Saturday, November 14, at Croke Park Stadium and Wednesday, November 18 at the Stade de France.

Cruzeiro unveiled their 09/10 third kit made by Reebok. Argentinian star, Juan Pablo Sorin announced he will officially retire from football and thus Cruzeiro prepared a special match to honor him.

Cruzeiro will play Argentinos Jrs, Sorin's first team and for that occasion, besides having many concerts of famous local bands, the new third kit honours the argentine and the team's roots, bearing a Sorin patch on the left arm and the club's original badge on the right side of the kit.

EACH win Norwich City sponsorship for a day

It has been announced that East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) are the winners of the local charity competition to win Norwich City sponsorship for a day.

For one match only, Aviva give up their sponsorship to charity and remove its logo from players' shirts.

The shirts with the EACH logo will be worn during the league match with Tranmere Rovers at Carrow Road on November 14, with an auction taking place once the shirts have been washed.

Nick Gibbs, sponsorship manager at Aviva, told the Advertiser24 that the lives of many of the firm's 7,000 Norwich staff would have been touched by local charities, making it important to get involved and fundraise.

“We want to give something back to the community and do something good for local charities,” he said.
