Clubs used to work on their youth system giving chance to their local players but nooo , this is not the case these days as it got too easy for rich clubs , football is more of a business these days and it's been played off the field rather than on the field..the more money you have the higher your chance of getting a big player , big teams are splashing cash like crazies on average players and as it looks there is not end to it , every year you see a new club bought by a billionaire owner and spends ridiculous amount of money to buy his team's success , it all started with Chelsea when a Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich Tried to build his roman empire in London and bring several players for huge amount of money and it has bought him success in someway as Chelsea managed to secure English Premier League title after a long long time and what it did is encouraged other billionaires to take interest in football teams , soon after an English club Manchester City bought by Abu Dhabi group of investors and they took the football world by storm , the very first player the signed was for 50$ million and there was no stopping to it as their spending spree almost reached 500$ million and Man city is not the only club the likes of PSG also joined the party.Players are getting paid huge chunk of salaries the prime example of it is Cristiano Ronaldo as he earns almost 300K dollars on weekly basis. There is no such thing as loyalty in football these days players leave the clubs who had given them recognition and end up being a mercenary. There is a new philosophy in football "if you cant produce good players just buy them". Fifa the governing body of football will have to bring some strict rules otherwise more billionaire owners will come and the passion for the game is gonna miss as it has been noticed the number of fans in stadiums is far less than it used to be.
