Dr. Starita Ansari Boyce created theNew3Rs.org, to offer an online curriculum and resources about Black history, civics, and responsive philanthropy for Pre-K to 12th-grade children and their families.

New York, NY — M. Starita Boyce Ansari, Ph.D., founder of TheNew3Rs.org, has been honored by the “2021 Black Woman Give Back List” for her nonprofit’s work in helping to educate and train the next generation of philanthropists.

Boyce Ansari was chosen out an impressive group of Black women whose philanthropy is improving lives in Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States. A panel of judges included such Black philanthropists as Jocelyn Harmon, Dr. Jacqueline Bouvier Copeland, Yolanda F. Johnson, and A’Lelia Bundles, the great-great-granddaughter of the iconic philanthropist and entrepreneur Madam C.J. Walker as well as the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy – Indiana University Purdue University.

TheNew3Rs.org online curriculum and resources are Black history, civics, and responsive philanthropy for Pre-K to 12th-grade children and their families. Dr. Boyce Ansari’s groundbreaking work teaches 6th-12th graders how to create and manage giving circles. The New 3Rs Youth Responsive Philanthropy Giving Circles award grants to small Black-led nonprofit organizations. The New 3Rs also develops animation that helps families and educators of Pre-k-5th grade children have a racial justice voice in a creative format.

“In the philanthropic sector this is one of the highest honors to be recognized by Lilly Family School of Philanthropy – Indiana University Purdue University, and Dr. Jacqueline Bouvier Copeland a leading scholar in African Studies and Women’s Rights,” Boyce Ansari said. “As a scholar, author, and practitioner I’ve been advocating for racial equity and justice all my life, and now TheNew3Rs.org is a platform that is beginning to make an impact on individuals by teaching the contributions Blacks have given the world, understanding the lasting impact of racism and teaching how philanthropy can improve the lives of Blacks.

ATLANTA,
August 6, 2021 – Ikechi Nwabuisi, founder & CEO of TRiBL, today calls
for a “New Black Wall Street,” offering a bold vision on how Blacks around the
world can create generational wealth by building off some of the many lessons
learned 100 years after the famed Tulsa Riots.

New entrepreneur looking to connect communities and create wealth

In this new op-ed, Nwabuisi, a Nigerian-American, is the founder and CEO @ TRiBL, a messaging app for Pan-African
commerce, offers his strategies.

Ikechi Nwabuisi, founder & CEO, TriBl

Wake up everybody! While it’s
a great time for us to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the horrific “Black
Wall Street” massacre in the Greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa, we must look
forward. I can’t tell you how angry I am that this part of our nation’s history
was hidden for so long. More importantly, the seemingly sudden awareness about
the success of those brave Black men and women only validates the false
narrative that lives in the media on why Black people can’t create wealth,
leading us to approach the problem incorrectly.

We
must channel our consumer buying power of $1.4 trillion to create the new Black
Wall Street. Now is a great opportunity for us to embrace what Tulsa’s Black
Wall Street symbolized: Black excellence; the power of community; and, the
importance of unity. In the year since the death of George Floyd, we are
realizing that we have to fight for social justice, but we also have to do what
our predecessors did in Tulsa: They created a blueprint for wealth creation
within our community. BankGreenwood.com reports that, a
dollar circulates six hours
in the Black community, 20 days in the Jewish community and 30 days in the
Asian community.

According
to a study by the American Journal of
Economics and Sociology, “If 1,200 median priced houses
in Tulsa were destroyed today, the loss would be around $150 million. The
additional loss of other assets, including cash, personal belongings, and
commercial property, might bring the total to over $200 million.” What’s
maddening is that this demonstrates the level of oppression faced, and
the intention to upholding white supremacy.

Despite on-going efforts by the family members of those
loved ones lost, they have repeatedly denied their claims for reparations. This
gives us greater urgency for us to take control of our own destinies and move
from words to actions to understand these three valuable lessons that we
can apply today: 1) We must create wealth within the Black community; 2) We
must buy black; and, 3) We must create safe spaces/communities where majority
of commerce is Black-owned.

The
pandemic has only highlighted the tremendous racial wealth gaps in this country.
For Blacks, the median annual wage is nearly $10,000 more than White employees,
a recent McKinsey study reported. The study goes on
to show how Blacks are more likely to get hired in traditionally lower-paying
jobs that prevent us from ever gaining the wealth we deserve even though we put
in hours to get the jobs done.

The
tragedies of the past year have fueled a new energy in buying Black.
#BlackWallStreet, #BuyBlack and #BankBlack are trending. WeBuyBlack.com has become one of the largest online marketplaces for
Black-owned businesses. The Official Black Wall Street app offers another invaluable tool
for Black-owned businesses and consumers. That’s all good, but ultimately, it’s
all about ownership and equity. It’s not just about access. It’s about actual
ownership of businesses. The ability to create jobs through entrepreneurship
and share resources crafted for us, and by us. While information is
information, our experiences are unique and require the context and/or
experience of people of our ethnic backgrounds.

What
the new Black Wall Street needs is a community that combines culture and group
economics so we can collectively accumulate wealth. We need commerce where Blacks
can spend money and those dollars circulate within the Black community around
the world so they can do business with other blacks – seamlessly. We need technology, creating social networks
for-us-buy-us and those that allow us to access blockchain. These three
elements – community plus commerce plus technology – are the tools for us to
accumulate long-term wealth. No, we’re not talking about fast money that we
make in a single transaction, but wealth that will stand the test of
generations, passed on from one to the next.

In
our tech driven society, we are the leaders of the internet. As we gain more
education and access to resources and tools, we are able to build businesses
and tools. We have more than earned the right to have our own keys to own, build,
invest, and grow our communities without waiting on reparations or help from
politicians and government agencies who have proven that they do not have our
best interests in mind.

The
new Black Wall Street empowers us to re-train our community with a
community-first mentality that will significantly shift our behavior. Group
economics amongst Black people around the world will enable us to take
advantage of some of the biggest wealth creation events, which will occur over
the next 50-years i.e., emerging market real estate/infrastructure, blockchain,
cryptocurrency, etc. With the power of our global community, we have the
potential to tap into more than $2.5 trillion in Pan-African commerce.

Now
is the time. We have unprecedented access to information, knowledge, and
economic power, if we choose to accept it. What Blacks have is the opportunity to
take advantage of a global marketplace where commerce is already happening.
When we work together to ensure that dollars are circulating between our
communities, we will create sustainable wealth for generations to come.

The 10K Project launching this challenge to offer fun, interactive way for families of any size to get access to set of tools for financial success, wealth building

FAIRFAX,
Nov. 4, 2020 – As part of its national campaign to
bridge the wealth gap, The 10K Project,
a community of individuals supporting black
entrepreneurs and investors, today announced that is launching its
first-ever Black Family Wealth Challenge.

With families of all sizes beginning to gather virtually and in person in the months ahead, Cheree Warrick, co-founder and CEO of the 10K Project, said the Black Family Wealth Challenge is a fun, interactive way for families to end the year on a note of family solidarity and lay the groundwork for an upbeat 2021.

The initiative comes at a time when a recent Brookings
Institute study shows that a white family’s net wealth at $171,000
is ten times higher than most Black families. The study shows that many Black
families are not likely to inherit or benefit from intergenerational wealth
passed down. That’s why Warrick believes
now is the time for the Black Family Wealth Challenge.

“We’ve all been through a lot this year,”
Warrick said, “This Challenge is our way of saying that it’s time for us to
control our own destiny. If we’ve
learned anything over the past seven months, it’s that there’s so much
uncertainty in the world around us. Now is our chance to shape our future. We
do not have to rely on anyone else to build our own generational wealth.”

At the end of the challenge, the goal is for families to create a
family investment club, also known as a “family bank.” Participants will be
given tools and resources to help them create generational wealth plans, reduce
family taxes, discuss estate planning with elders, and buy assets to grow
wealth.

Between November 2 and 16, black families can
begin participating by signing up on familybankchallenge.black.

The Black Family Wealth Challenge was fueled
by a webinar by Robert Cook who shared his success story of having family
members contribute $25 per month
per person to now having seven figures in asset. As part of the 10K Black
Family Wealth Challenge, you will receive:

· An introductory video
from 10K Project CEO;

· Access to the Robert
Cook Family Bank webinar (which will be held in the 10K Knowledge Center);

· Robert Cook’s Original
Partnership Agreement;

· Access to Tawana Rivers
Investment Club webinar where she discusses her journey of creating a family
investment club (which will be recorded November 2020; future challenges will
have access to the recording);

· A Family Bank checklist
– items people need to successfully set up their family bank;

· A sample letter
template to invite family members to participate and a suggested agenda for the
first Family Bank meeting;

· A list of legal
resources for individuals including lawyers that can help set up entities,
estate planning attorneys, and financial planners.

Additionally, members of the Black Family
Challenge will receive invitations to the Family Wealth Book Club Zoom
sessions; automatically receive a 10K Project membership including access to
our full Knowledge Center and members only Facebook group.

Another one of the benefits of participating
is a chance to win one month of Calvin Williams’ Flow Package for your family. “What’s
exciting about this is that families can use this opportunity to work together
to map out their short- and long-term financial goals,” Warrick said. “Our time
is now.”

Ayesha V. Dwyer shares an adventurous tale of a young girl who lives life grounded in her Jamaican roots that makes great summer reading

CHICAGO,
May 16, 2019 – As a passionate storyteller, Ayesha V. Dwyer takes readers on a
delightful journey of a little girl who shares her Jamaican descent through fun
and adventure in her new children’s book, “Sista Me & Friends” that makes a
great addition to your summer reading list.

Dwyer, a wife and mom of two who lives in the Chicago suburb of Wadsworth,
releases her beautifully illustrated hard cover book to show her love for the
island of Jamaica, the people, the language and the culture.

“My inspiration for this book was the
relationship I had with my grandfather,” Dwyer says. “His wisdom and tutelage are
what primarily has guided me throughout my life. This book, in part, reflects
the endearing love between a grandparent and child.”

Readers are taken on a delightful
journey with Keturah, whose nickname is “Sista Me,” in this new release,
featuring a delightful story, “A Rock
and a Hard Place.” You meet Jaggy,
her grandfather; Auntie Merty, her mother; Kingston, her brother; Noelle, her best
friend and a host of other family members and friends. The book weaves in
cultural references, some Jamaican patois and a glossary to help you find the
definitions of the words.

“Over the years, I’ve learned so
much about my husband’s culture and how we as a family have embraced it,” says
Dwyer who grew up in Waukegan and whose husband is Jamaican. “Sista Me is a way
for me to capture the lovely innocence of a child through stories other kids
can relate to – while also opening children’s eyes to the beauty of another
culture.”

One of the central characters of
the book is Jaggy, the grandfather, who is always there to support Sista Me as
she navigates her way through childhood. “You know young kids are full of
adventure,” Dwyer says. “Sista Me is just one of those kids who will bring a
smile to your face no matter what they do.”

The book is available at
SistaMe.com, on Amazon.com and iTunes. You can find her author page on Amazon: amazon.com/author/ayeshavdwyer.

DALLAS, April 13, 2019 – talkSTEM, a nonprofit organization
that broadens participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
(STEM), announced a new partnership
with SMU to raise greater awareness about studying math and science.

The new initiative is part of the organization’s walkSTEM
program and its efforts to encourage more young people to embrace math and
science as part of their everyday lives. As part of the program, visitors will be able
to go on virtual walks on the SMU campus through videos highlighting some of
the interesting mathematics visible on SMU’s campus. This content was created by Dr. Glen Whitney,
walkSTEM adviser and founder of the National Museum of Mathematics in New York,

“We’re excited about the partnership,” said Koshi
Dhingra, Ed.D, founder
and CEO of talkSTEM. “We believe that math is everywhere. Working with SMU on
producing these videos is an exciting way for us to illustrate this point.”

Annie Wilheim, assistant
professor of mathematics education in the Department of Teaching and Learning
at Southern Methodist University, says, “The potential for these videos is immense: From sharing the
mathematical, architectural, natural, and other beauty on the SMU campus with
students and community members who may not be able to visit in person, to
serving as models we can pair with in person visits to think with as we develop
mathematics students’ and teachers’ own lenses for seeing mathematics in the
world.”

The instructional videos
address a variety of subjects on SMU’s campus, including estimating the
capacity of a football stadium at Ford Stadium; determining the proper setting
for a sun dial at the Dallas Hall Sun Dial and observing differences in the
symmetry of a building at the Hughes-Trigg Student Center. These videos represent the new walkSTEM@SMU
experience and will launch during the Science in the City event at SMU on
Saturday, April 13.

Travelers will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to travel to retrace history, meet Ghanaian leaders and “Return” through “The Door of No Return”

PHILADELPHIA,
February 19, 2019 – To commemorate the 400th anniversary of the
first documented arrival of Africans in Virginia, a Philadelphia travel agency
has organized a once-in-a-lifetime historic trip, retracing the steps of
history in Ghana, dating back to 1619, the birthplace of so many Americans of
African descent.

Lloyd
Murray, founder and president of Palace Travel, says this trip is one of the most unique trips and
experiences he has ever led to Africa.
The “Historic Return of the African Diaspora” tour will take place August 5 to August 14, 2019. It is billed as an opportunity to draw the
world’s attention to this symbolic moment of the long history of African
enslavement.

“For the
first time traveler to Africa, I would say that this trip will offer them a
rich, heartwarming experience that they truly won’t get with any other tour,”
Murray said. “For those who have traveled to Ghana before, all I have to say,
you’ll experience this country in a way that you’ve never experienced in the
past. With the 400-year anniversary, I’ve worked with the tourism office and
government officials to give you access to a trip that will get you even more
familiar with Ghana’s rich culture and history.”

What makes
this trip unique is that it will take travelers along the slave route from
capture to storage at Cape Coast Slave dungeon now referred to as Slave
Castles. Also included will be atonement ceremonies. There will be wreath-laying and tributes to
Pan African pioneers, including Dr. W.E.B. Dubois, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and
Marcus Mosiah Garvey. Diaspora participants
will meet with chiefs and elders and will be addressed by high-level government
officials.

Noted
historians and local experts will take visitors on tours of W.E.B. DuBois’
former home and cultural visits to the Ashanti Kingdom where the groups will be
especially welcomed by the Ashanti King. One of the more emotional legs of the
trip will take travelers to Cape Coast Castle, known for the infamous “The Door
of No Return” through which millions passed on the way to slavery. This is where
travelers will be guest of the Paramount Chief of Elmina, Nana Kojo Conduah IV.
The day will be capped off with the traditional Fihankra Ceremony –where Returnees
will participate in a traditional Naming Ceremony and receive their
certificates of authentication.

inappropriately because they were afraid others would notice that they stuttered,” said Myers, 43, who works with her 8-year-old grandson who also stutters. “When the kids look at these amazing celebrities and what they’ve accomplished, I know that gives them great hope and help them realize they can accomplish their goals as well.”

The Every1Voice Matters Foundation is designed to initially assist children ages 5 to 10 to gain and build self-esteem and confidence. Myers is partnering with local speech pathologists, schools and churches to offer children free and low-cost services. She plans on expanding the program to students in middle and high school.

In the U.S., more than three million Americans stutter, most of whom are males and about 5 percent of all children stutter for a period of six months or more, according to The Stuttering Foundation.

“I’m hoping that anyone who stutters gets the support and love they need,” Myers said. “I want to be able to provide them every opportunity to achieve whatever goals they may have in life.”

The Foundation is currently offering several programs:

– Health and Wellness: Partnering with therapists and doctors to ensure parents are attending their scheduled speech and healthcare appointments

– Find Your Voice: Provides an environment to empower youth to develop speech and stuttering goals

– Fluency Techniques: Participants who are receiving speech therapy will learn fluency stabilizing techniques to cope with the psychological aspects of stuttering.

– Bridge Da Gap: Curriculum complete with lesson plans, textbooks, CD, Workbook and interactive website and DVD, connecting with students by using hip-hop music to instill character-building traits
