In the endless debate over who's the ruler of the NBA, Kobe Bryant with his five NBA championship rings, MVP, four All-Star MVPs and established position in NBA history or LeBron James who is highly regarded as the best overall player in the NBA right now, along with two MVPs, there's always a feeling that Bryant is just one step ahead. He's just had the things happen for him, or made them happen for him, that LeBron has not. And on a night where LeBron dropped the second ever triple-double in an All-Star Game, Kobe still managed to one-up him, landing the MVP trophy. The night was encapsulated, though, on a play where LeBron went for his famous chase-down block, only to find Bryant flush it. See for yourself.

LeBron's team is stacked with two other All-Stars, but Kobe Bryant maintains his status as the icon of the league. He looks every bit on his way to a third Finals appearance despite his team's recent struggles, and if against the Heat, he may serve the same reminder to King James. SMALLVILLE SEASON 10 - KENT

The final season of "Smallville" rolls on, but fans will have a few weeks to wait before the next new adventure featuring Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and the rest of The CW's superhero crew.

Premiering April 15, the new episode titled "Kent" appears to feature a return to the alternate universe last seen in the tenth episode ("Luthor"). It also looks like the alternate-universe version of Jonathan Kent has some anger issues he's more than happy to take out on the last son of Krypton.

What is After Effects CS5?

After Effects CS5 is a digital motion graphics and compositing software published by the Adobe, used in film a

nd video production. Its main uses are the origination of 2

D and 2.5D animation, 3D effects, visual effects compositing and finishing (image adjustment, curves, hue/saturation etc.). After Effects can also be used as a basic non-linear editor and a media trans-coder.

BRIEF EXPLANATION FOR AFTER EFFECTS CS5

Adobe After Effects CS5 is primarily used for creating motion graphics and visual effects. After Effects allows users to animate, alter and composite media in 2D and 3D space with various built-in tools and third party plug-ins, as well as individual attention to variables like parallax and user-adjustable angle of observation.

After Effects and some non-linear editing systems (NLEs) are layer-oriented, meaning that each individual media object (video clip, audio clip, still image, etc.) occupies its own track. In contrast, other NLEs use a system where individual media objects can occupy the same track as long as they do not overlap in time. This track-oriented system is more suited for editing and can keep project files much more concise. The layer-oriented system that After Effects adopts is suited f

or extensive effects work and keyframing. Although other comp

ositing packages—especially ones that employ tree or node workflows, such as Apple Shake—are better suited to manage large volumes of objects within a composite, After Effects CS5 is able to somewhat counter the clutter by selectively hiding layers (using the Shy switch) or by grouping them into pre-compositions.

The main interface consists of several panels (windows in versions prior to After Effects 7.0). Three of the most commonly used panels are the Project panel, the Composition panel, and the Timeline panel. The Project panel acts as a bin to import stills, video, and audio footage items. Footage items in the Project panel are used in the Timeline panel, where layer order and timing can be adjusted. The items visible at the current time marker are displayed in the Composition panel.

After Effects CS5 integrates with other Adobe software titles such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Encore, Flash, and third-party 3D programs like Cinema 4D.

The Next Unkown Path

it's been 5 months after my last written short story about my life. This past 5 months was a total boredom. But many things have had happened during that 5 months break. Many events took place in my life, i was loved, i was hurt,i was rejected,i was alone, i got caught in a fight, i was jealous of something that i wasn't supposed to be envied about, i cried, i laughed, I've met new persons, special persons, and came back to the real me. During this 5 months, i see myself on a road that only brought me back from the start. But it wasn't just any road. It was a road of learning and searching who i really am, and what i have to avoid and take in order not to make the same mistake as i take the new path ahead of me. The past road was a preparation for me, "i guess". Everything i experienced and learned from that 5 months was a preparation for me.why? I don't know. But then again, why did it brought me back from the start? Everything has it's second chance, and that second chance plays a vital role, a chance that must be taken care of. I'll start off now with my story during this past 5 months.

well, first event that happened was on Sept 5. Well, it was the day that i had my first girlfriend. Actually, i never really wanted to have a girlfriend yet, but then, something clicked on my mind, telling myself that I'd just have a girlfriend to experience how it feels to have one. It was a wrong decision, because i never really love the girl, i played as her bf just to experience having one, it was totally wrong, but i couldn't turn back anymore. Well, nothing really happened between us. I learned that having girlfriends is really nice, someones taking care of you and all that, but one thing i never like about having girlfriend is that you can't be with your friends anymore, you can't spend time with friends to hang out. Well, i know that having a gf is a priority to be taken care of. With that, i couldn't handle it. So i took the liberty of breaking up. It was sad, coz i shoved many lies before her, and it was a wrong thing that i took position in. But, finally, it's over. I cursed myself, playing stupid games on people that i didn't want to let it happen.

Then came October, i was on my friendster account that day, i was adding up some friends even though i don't barely know them, till i get across with a girl who i seemed to call as my angel, she is the most adorable person that i have ever known. She is Karla Patricia Yvette Haduca Pagalunan, or "Trish" by the name i call her. I've got no intention of having her as my girlfriend. Well, i only wanted her as friend, i was so lonely that day and i needed a friend so badly. I wanted to call my friend, Marcos, but it was impossible for me. I tried emailing him, but not one message replied quickly as i wanted it to be, so i thought of looking for someone in my friendster account. Then came trish. i can describe Trish as friendly, adorable, kind, and cute. Well, Trish is actually not in the same place as me here in the Philippines. She's actually in Manila and I'm in Mindanao. Though distance had the advantage of separation, it never stopped me from becoming her friend. We became close just through comment chat in the friendster. Every afternoon after school, we would talk to each other. Trish actually has a boyfriend, but as time passes, they broke up. I had no intention of getting an advantage, but i was just there to comfort her as my friend. Well, as i see of me and Trish, it seems that I'd known her already, as if i was with her everyday. It's a feeling i couldn't explain. Well, Trish and I mostly have the same things in common, and she mentioned something about soul mate. That once two persons have the same things in common, they are soul mates. Both of us kept teasing each other that we really are each others soul mate. But then, as time goes, Trish and i seemed to be parting. Well, not all persons get along that always. During December, Trish and i were texting, and i mentioned something about having the same things in common with her. And she really made me believe in soul mates, but when she said it was just a joke, my heart wanted to burst and die right away. Something was wrong again,and i knew it, I was expecting too much about are relationship as friends, i was not acting as her friend anymore, more like her suitor. It seems like i just woke up from a dream, but it was reality. Well, my response to her? I said "yeah, it's just a joke...=) " that smiling face right there, is just a fake. It's what all people do when you don't want others to worry about you when you are in pain. I played along with her, putting fake smiles, and fake laughs. But then, after Christmas, i tried getting a contact with her again, i felt much better after Christmas Day. Well, while waiting, i was adding up some friends again, till i got across with a friend of her. When she knew about that, she quickly told me that i added her friend "elos" so that i have a new person to comment chat with. Then i quickly told her that i wouldn't, that she'd be the only one I'd comment chat with, of course she's the one i wanted. But when i told her that someday she'll soon forget me, and that we wouldn't be having a comment chat anymore, she said "of course not".........but guess what?., As January came i found out that she had someone to comment chat with and it wasn't me anymore. Well, i was quite jealous but i can't do anything, it's her decision. I lived up to her promise that she'd be the only one I'd comment chat with, but she didn't live up to hers. I realize it was time to quit this nonsense on girls, and concentrate back to the real me. Now, i don't know what will happen next, but all I'll do is to move on.

Now, I'm back here, writing, just like what i used to do before.
At least I'm back to the real me.
The Kirk who can barely live up to his self,
The Kirk who is confident and aggressive,
The Kirk who is joyful and filled with happiness,
The Kirk who used to have friends back In Chuuk,
And the Kirk who have the strong faith of never giving up in hard obstacles.
Coz without the people i grew up with in Chuuk, i wouldn't become who I am now,
and the characteristics we all built in me.,

Superman's Down!

I guess even superman felt pain and sorrows. It's a tough life imitating a superheroes life. Everything that I had went through were all pain and sorrow. I didn't foresee this possibilities that I would encounter them at all times, just like superman. The things I adore most were gone, my time became wasted, the persons that i love most, i can't be with right now. Everything was taken away. What else do i possess now? I guess I should stop acting like a superhero when I'm not. I think I'm just making a fool out of myself. How I wish I could be just Clark Kent then. Having a heavenly family, compassionate and thoughtful friends and everything he had. My family now is totally ruined. My trust for my grandparents is lost, my aunt who dislikes me, my friends who has an extreme hatred on me, pretending that they act like it seems nothing is wrong, when it seems odd. I'm totally ruined! No more happy days. I'm tired of this crazy life, now that the world is different. I never see this world caving on me. Where's a savior when you need one? It's hard to find a reason to recreate and settle down this dim mind. I guess lights don't shine at all. What else would life take away from me? When I'm already down.

Well, here I am again, back into the life of love. Still on the same path when I used to love someone. The path of a rocky road which crushes me over and over again. Not even a tiny hole that can be found to escape through in order for me to be in a mellow love. I guess I'm never meant to be in love. Always on my own. She was my friend, and I knew before, that it would turn out this way. I guess man really takes all the falls. Superman was known as the man of steel, but deep in his heart, he wasn't the man of steel that people knew. Just like me. I maybe strong on the outside but weak on the inside. Full of anxiety nowadays, I guess we wouldn't be more closer than before. I need a raincoat.

Whose my Friends?

After the recollection, a group of jocular students entertained me in their group. I had fun and excitement hanging out with them, for they were the kind of friends I want to have. They cruised me around the mall and went for a fun trip. I had so much fun and excitement that day. But guess what, the next day, it seems to them that they don't know me anymore. They didn't even bother saying good morning to me or what's up. Now, questions starts to annoy me. Was I the kind of friend they wanted or not?Is it because I'm different? But that day felt like an entire happiness that I finally found my friends, which led me on to nothing. Well, I guess it's just time and adjustment. There's nothing I can do except to show the real me and my extraordinary talents which people would want to see. Then, I guess I'll find my friends.

Where Is Everybody?

I feel so alone nowadays. I feel that I'm on my own and the people who care for me before are gone in my heart. As I walk in every step of my life, I can't feel the people that I felt before. The care and love that I felt before seems to be gone. Now, I'm down to one last breath, lost, petrified, and abandoned. My life is starting to lose the path of joy. What happened to me, my life, the people I've loved and care in the past. All this question are filling up my mind. The path seems to be going through a rocky road. It's really hard, I'm losing the grip of success, all I'm bearing right now is my past. I feel like being placed six feet from the edge, and maybe that six feet is so far down. Nobody seemed to hold me back, guess I'll do it on my own then, and live on my own. This life I'm going through right now is very difficult and is hard to cope with this kind of situation. My road is foggy that I lost my way through the path of joy. I guess nobody is really perfect, no mater how much a person tries to strive to become one. Well, i guess it ends here.

Hey Guam Boy!

"Hey Guam Boy!" is what they call me sometimes when they see me walking through the lobby and classrooms and wherever in the campus, especially when they don't know my name. Now, they had a habit of calling me that nettling name. It's irritating and slightly adequate to heed. I guess my nickname have really passed on, knowing that I'm the only person who came from Guam and can't barely vocalize the local language which is the "visaya" language, and slight on Tagalog. It's just because I can hardly speak English fluently and accurately, they tend to call me Guam Boy. Now, I'm having difficulties talking to some students. When they ask me in visaya language, I respond back in Tagalog language which some other students can't understand or hard to talk in Tagalog, but mostly, I respond in English when I tend not to. When we had group work and I am asked for something or a question, I respond mostly in English when it is supposedly to be in Tagalog. My tongue is more on to English nowadays whenever I'm in school. I tried to get a hold of it, but apparently, it's only working sometimes. Well, I guess I'll have to live this way, and hope the would still accept for who I am.

Which One?

I just came from the school today. This morning, we had our PE. Well, she was there, as a matter of fact, she is always there. We had an activity today in our PE class, which is to observe each and everyone of how long they can jump by combining two tape measures. She was beside the tape measure, to record our jumps. We had three attempts. When it came to my turn, I felt so numb, my feet could barely jump far-off, but with her beside the tape measure; recording our jumps, made me feel more anesthetized. My first attempt was not really bad. My second attempt was totally poor, I didn't even reach the second tape measure when I know I could. On my third attempt, she looked at me. Not as in for a long period of a time, but just a glance through my eyes. I prepared an intense strength for a good jump. When I made the attempt, i landed beside her. And I reached a far distance of a jump. It was intense. After the activity, we were commanded to sit down. And again, her hand swinged through my hand and made a slight hit in our fingers for the second time. She didn't even react, neither did I. Now, I'm starting to have an immense feelings for her. After PE was English. The subject which is more likely parting from me. Apparently, I'm getting a hold of it again little by little. One thing is that, there's this girl. She keeps staring at me. Not everytime. Actually, she is the type of the girl that I adore. With the crazy attiude and a funny personality. Obviously, she is the most beautiful girl in English class and also the smartest. She is what every guy desire to have. I also have feelings for her but it's hard to get close to those kinds of persons. But what I'm wondering about is why does she keep glancing through my face. Now, she makes me think and wanting myself to wait and hope if there would be a collision between the two of us. So the question is, which one?

Going Home

No matter what, the darkness always follow me. And all the tears I shed, where shed beyond closed doors. So , I chose the only place that I might be safe. But I wish I could have brought you with me. Because the pain you brought me was never a pain of heartache, but a pain love. I'm sorry that I won't be there for you when you needed me. Just look inside your heart and I'll be there. I just couldn't take the pain. The evil I had brought down on you. The only thing I could do was to go and pray that one day you would all understand and accept that I have moved on to a better place. Or so I hoped far out of her reach. I never knew how hard it would be to do this on my own. But protecting you, made the leaving bearable and I will always have the dreams of how we could have been. If I had only given you the chance and all I can do now is wish that I could say that I'm sorry. But when I look at myself, the image was distorted. If i could only have seen myself through your eyes, then maybe this place wouldn't have seem so bad, and I could have broken these chains that bound me. But I just couldn't escape the demons from my past. Be careful what you wish for, cause you just might get it all. And like me, you'll have to live with the regret, running away in shame, instead of being brave enough to take hope by the hand. Because people did care, even when they seemed not to. They loved you. You only needed to ask and neither heaven or hell, could have overcome, and I would no longer be walking a barren road alone, because I'd be home. When you're sad and when you're lonely, and you haven't got a friend, and all that you've held sacred falls down and does not mend, when you're standing at the crossroads that you cannot comprehend, and all your dreams have vanished and you don't know what's up the bend, when the storm clouds gather around you and a heavy rain descends, you must only remember, death is not the end. I'd like to dedicate this to a girl who I have fallen in love with during 6th grade. I saw her today in the campus with someone, which I refer to as a special person for her. I don't know if she still recalls about our past. I'm asking myself what would it be like if I hadn't left the place, not knowing where I'll be bound to take the strenous trials all by myself. I went to a better place far from her, which I call home, for that place took all the immeasurable depression I had. If I could only wish that I could bring her with me. Now, the bottomless feelings are starting to ascend whenever I encounter her in the campus. I guess it's time for me to go back home, again.

Its 11:47 pm and I haven't slept yet. It's very calm and dull here in my room. But it's more silent outside. The neighborhood are asleep, even my grandparents next door. It's so quiet. This is the lind of place I want to be in. But not in this particular view, which all you see is just your room. It would be much more better to be in a serene and placid area. A place where you can refreshen your mind and takes away all depression and distressing feelings that haunts you again and again. But it's awesome, because it's very exciting and glamarous hearing the silent night. And the next day is the nuisance day. Back to school! But it's ok, a least it's Friday. Yepee!Gud nyt!

Sight-seeing

I saw her again today. She looks so gorgeous with her clipped hair and flattering green dress. She was all by herself beside the table. She appears to be lonely and remote from the world today. But today was supposed to be an exciting day for it is the NDDU University Day. How much I want to get close to her but I can't. I feel something odd between the both of us. Something is sparking between us, and I don't know if it is just me or something else. I sense the feeling of how she interacts with me by a glimpse of sight-seeing. Anyways, she is my classmate in Religion class and PE class. According to PE class, both of us are in a group, not to mention, she is the leader in that group of ours. The way she interacts with me by looking is out of the ordinary. The thing is, whenever I proceed to the classroom that I'm about to have class in, we always pass by each other every single day in the campus, and now, I'm starting to feel something that I'm not suppose to feel yet. Of course I like her, but I don't think it's the right time for me to be in love, no matter how much I'd really want it. I'm only worried whenever we see each other. More likely, she's different from the other girls I pass by every time in the campus. Those other girls don't even bother looking at me when I look at them(not on purpose), but she does. Well, i don't know if something or someone is connecting the both of us which totally seems to be astonishing for me, but I don't know about her. She's starting to drive me crazy nowadays. Especially the way she looked at me when I passed by in front of her today, it was totally different. Even though it was a short period if sight-seeing, it appeared like a whole day of staring was going on between the both of us. Now, I'm starting to get crazy for this girl. Maybe I'll be more crazier tomorrow for I'll see her again in Religion class. Wish me luck!

No Friends At All

I feel deep sorrow and loneliness since the day I entered College. It's because I don't have any friends to walk with, talk with, share things with, and all things that friends do. It made me recall of my high school year, when I had numerous friends, approximately ninety percent of the student in high school are my friends. I miss them a lot. Today, I can't barely keep depression inside myself anymore, that is why I'm pouring every single bitter feeling I had ever since I stepped into College life. It's hard for me to go through College alone, and as a matter of fact it's true. No person can go through College alone. He/she needs a companion beside him/her for friends are there to support each other. I guess I'm destined to be alone. I've tried so many times of stopping the negativity of not having friends at all, but it kept haunting me every time I walk inside the College building, alone. For now, I'm only assuming that someday I'll have a friend. But what I know is that I have a true friend beside me everyday, he's just invisible. But still, I'm losing hope searching for true friends. Maybe it's because I'm different from others since I grew up in a different place. Or maybe because of my color. I have so many questions occurring in my head, twisting my brain to death. I really miss my friends back in Chuuk. Especially my band mates and schoolmates. How I wish I could go back in the past just to refresh my mind in order for my head to cool down a little. Looking at the memorable memories, the funniest memories, the sweetest memories, the coolest memories and the awesomest memories. Sometimes, I feel a massive depression in me. Because of this depression, I'm always tempted to cry. I can't help it anymore. I want to better myself but I can't. I can't cope with this life without having any friends. People back in Chuuk gave me good advices about friends. They said to choose friends carefully, but there's nothing to choose. I'm only assuming myself for now that this is just a dream and when I wake up from the terrifying dream, friends that I've been waiting for are beside me, especially the friends I had back in Chuuk. It's hard to go through this situation, but i reckon someday that no matter if I had no friends in College at all, friends in my past are just smiling and waiting to be noticed at the back of me.

College homework is killing me!

Another homework are assigned everyday. I don't know how much longer I can cope with this situation I'm going through. I'm not actually used to have so many homeworks in a day. This is very tiring and totally exhausting. Now, I only get to sleep 6 hrs. because of the homework and research. Is this what 1st year college student must go through? Is it really mandatory to go through such abundant homework? Because of having numerous homework in a day, I totally forgot that I have a homework in my favorite subject which is Math. We had our 1st homework in Math and I failed to submit my homework because I was loaded with tons of homework from different subjects. I also forgot to put them in notecards so it would be easy for me to distinguish all the homework i would have. College homework reall kills me, a lot!

English twisted my Mouth

Every time we have English class, i never get to speak. I mean, it's possible for me to speak English and i can barely speak it fluently and accurately. Somethings holding me back from talking English whenever the teacher asks a question. I have the answers inside my brains but something is bothering me, not letting me speak. I have no embarrassment to stand up in front of a class and talk and i don't know what's pulling me back from speaking it. It's such a shame for me not answering the teachers question. As a matter of fact, i introduced myself that i came from the states which is true, and i should be active in answering questions about English. Even simple question twists my tongue such as "what is a sentence?". Even a simple question like that held me back from answering simple questions. I sat on the chair, so silent and seemed to be remote from the class. A girl kept answering the teachers question. She is smart, intelligent, beautiful. But the only main problem I have with her is the way she talks English. Her voice is so irritating for me. The way she spoke English seems as if her tongue is filled with tons of saliva, pronouncing it so gayish. It's very irritating. Both of us had no cause or trouble with each other. Well as a matter of fact we don't even know each other. I'm not discriminating her nor giving her bad feelings or mocking her and I'm not jealous or anything, but it's just that whenever a teacher asks question, I get this feeling of a rope pulling me back and she gets to get the bonus prize. I don't know what's going on. It seems like my life in English is haunted with that girl. I don't think I'm in love with her nor will i be, but it's just that i want to be more active and alert in English class. English is my favorite subject, but now it's leaving me behind.

Yesterday

Well, this one's entitled as "yesterday" for my past distributes me great memories i had in my life. Today, I will share an extraordinary memories I had during my high school year. I don't actually know what triggered me of sharing my memories here, but what I know is that it is the most memorable memory that I treasure most in my life. So here it goes. I had my 7th birthday on the plane. I was with my Mom during that time. It was an exhausting long trip from Philippines to the unknown place. When we arrived, i felt depression and a mixture of confusion. As i stepped out from the plane, i saw a wonderful creation ahead of me. The place seemed serene and placid even though the nuisance sound of the aircraft was loud. It faded in my ears. I took a deep breath, and felt an enormous feeling. An unexpected feeling which doesn't seem to exist. It may sound crazy and weird but it was a calm feeling which rested my heart completely. As time goes on, i had friends in school. People like me and not like me. Of course I had fun, but not the fun I actually expected to experience and feel. After my 5th grade, i was sent back to Philippines to continue my sixth grade. Well, on the whole, i voluntarily agreed to go back. I didn't really like the place at all, and the people. After I graduated, I was sent back to the place i never wanted to return again, but I had no choice for it was my parents decision and i had to obey it. But then again, back to the place which I didn't want to step on again. A few weeks later, I started my high school year. How much i want to vociferate but i can't, so i played it on my brains and pretend to be the real me, and went with the flow. After my freshmen year, I have made few friends. Friends i never really had before. It was shocking. During my second year, i made more friends. And on my junior year, i didn't just had any friends, but brothers and sisters. I can't barely believe that the whole junior class are my friends, brothers and sisters. Recalling from my past years, i never expected to have a huge amount of friends. It was a time traveling. Just yesterday, i never had friends, then the following day, they just popped out from nowhere. It was unbelievable. Well, the most interesting part is, we had 2 JVI teachers. I actually assumed that their not really cool and funny and that we aren't going to be friends. But when the time ran, they didn't just became a friend of mine, but more like a brother. We were very close, closer than the friends i had, especially one of the JV's. He is the awesomest, coolest, and extraordinary brother I've had. I wish he would have been my real brother. We had so much fun when we're together. We shared many things about ourselves, it seems like everything was already shared. He is the most extraordinary brother I've ever had, and that person is Marcos Gonzalez. On the main point, it wasn't just Marcos who's contributing self-confidence and enlightenment to me, but also my parents and my friends. On our graduation rehearsal, I felt a huge depression inside me. I was touched. At the beginning, i never really liked the people in the place i hated, but then, i realize that i belonged there and those people are the real friends I've ever had. I went on a flashback, and realized things I haven't realize before everything would have been like this. I never wanted to leave the place and the people i love, but i had to. It was hard to do, but i had no choice for i need to pursue my college education somewhere else, meaning in a different place. I made a promise to myself, that one day, I'll return to that place and find out more about myself for that place contributed varieties of knowledge and tremendous friends I had. These things happen so fast that i was left behind by a ship, not being on board, all alone and remote. But I know that somewhere out there, they are waiting for me and i believe it for it only seems as if it was just yesterday.
