Reliance Jio Fiber broadband plans in hyderabad and all other cities

When Mukesh Ambani announced Reliance Jio's plans at the company's annual general meeting on August 31, he also mentioned that Reliance will soon launch FTTH (fiber to the home) service, which will be capable of delivering broadband speed up to 1Gbps. A little has been on news about this FTTH service, however, a new report about Reliance Jio Fiber suggests equally aggressive broadband data plans as Reliance Jio for Mobile.

According to Phone Radar, Reliance Jio will first start testing its FTTH broadband service in Delhi and Mumbai. It also says that the service is now open under Welcome Offer for 90 days, similar to Jio's Welcome Offer for 4G on mobile. The report says that after the 90 days Reliance Jio will launch its data plans starting at Rs 500.

The Reliance Jio Fiber broadband service will offer data plans under three different categories: Silver, Gold and Platinum. The report doesn't specify how these three plans will work. But it says that tariffs will be based on speed, volume and price.

There is no information regarding the charges in Speed-based and Volume-based tariffs as of yet. The "Special Offer Tariffs" have the minimum plan for Rs 500, for which the company will offer 600GB of data at 15Mbps speed for 30 days.

The company will also offer a single day plan for Rs 400 which will give unlimited data usage for a day. There are two more plans for Rs 500, one of which will have a 3.5GB cap per day and will be applicable for a month. The other Rs 500 plan will allow a user 72 hours of usage over 30 days. The speed in this tariff should reach up to 60Mbps.

Since there are three Rs 500 plans, we expect them to come with different names or perhaps Reliance will decide the nomenclature when it officially launches the service.

The speed-based plans start at 50Mbps and go up to 600Mbps. The data cap for the 50Mbps plan is 2000GB and it goes down to 300GB for the 600Mbps plan. All these plans are applicable for 30 days. These plans will also offer Jio app usage from Rs 1,500 to Rs Rs 5,500 according to the value of the plan.

All the volume-based tariff plans have validity of 30 days. These plans have been divided on the basis of per day usage. The volume-based plans go from 5GB per day to 60GB per day. The report doesn't mention any speed or prices for these plans.

There is no official word on this report so we suggest you to take this with a pinch of salt. We expect Reliance to make an official announcement regarding the FTTH service in the coming days

TS POLYCET Answer Key/ Cutoff Marks 2016:

The Director of Public Instruction (D.P.I.) used to head the Technical Education also at the time of formation of Telangana. To help speed up the process of development of Technical Education, a Board in the name and style of "STATE BOARD OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING" was created vide G.O.Ms.No.371 Edn-dated 26.2.1957.

The Joint Director (Technical Education) of DPI used to act as secretary of this newly formed Board. Every year it conducts POLYCET examination. This year it has released notification and the candidates who had written the exam can check answer key and cutoff marks from the official website. Nearly 1,27,971 candidates had applied for the exam.

Telangana CEEP Cutoff Marks 2016:

In order to qualify in the TS POLYCET examination candidates should get minimum cutoff marks so that they are eligible for the admissions into colleges. TS POLYCET 2015 cut off percentage is 30% marks of total marks i.e; candidates belonging to the general category should obtain 36 marks. However, there is no cutoff marks for SC/ST candidates.

TS POLYCET 2016 Answer Key:

The State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana released notification and invited online applications for the POLYCET examination. Candidates who are looking for the admissions into Diploma level programmes conducted in the Government, aided, Private unaided polytechnics and polytechnics run in existing Private unaided Engineering Colleges appeared for the exam.

The examination is conducted for 120 marks with three sections i.e; Maths (60 Marks), Physics (30 Marks), Chemistry (30 Marks). Candidates who had written the exam can check the unofficial answer key from the direct link provided below.

Andhra Gets 15 Mbps Unlimited broadband at Rs 149 per month

In a first, Andhra Pradesh government has announced that it will provide 15 Mbps broadband Internet at Rs 149 per month, 100 Mbps at Rs 999.

Under the project, 15 Mbps broadband connection will be provided at Rs 149 per month to households and 100 Mbps connection for offices at Rs 999 per month.

Electrical poles will be used to lay overhead fiber net cable instead of underground cable to save on the cost.

Executive chairman of Cisco John T Chambers said Cisco will set up an Internet of Everything (IoE) Innovation Centre in Visakhapatnam to foster regional innovation and will enable partners and startups to build solutions around IoE and engage in rapid prototyping.

Andhra Pradesh government signed an MoU with Cisco company today as part of the inauguration of India's first statewide broadband project 'AP Fiber-Net' here.

Naidu said that digital transformation was the most transformative means to ignite sustainable growth and improve society. His government's aim was to provide internet connection to all households in the state as part of Digital India campaign, he said.

Under the project, internet connections would be provided at a cheap rate in districts of Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram by April. It will cover the rest of the state by the end of July this year.

"The network will cover 2,500 locations and is 22,500 km long, reaching 2 million households. Cisco has designed and implemented the network infrastructure for AP Fiber Net using statewide high-speed, aerial-optical fiber leveraging existing electricity distribution assets," it added.

Seoul: More than 100,000 units of Samsung Electronics Co.'s Galaxy S7 series smartphones were sold in South Korea within the first two days of its official launch, data showed on Sunday.

Sales of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge reached a combined 60,000 on Friday and 40,000 on Saturday after the smartphones hit South Korean market on Friday, Yonhap cited the official data as showing.

The Galaxy S7 Edge accounted for some 40 percent of the two-day sales, the data added.

The initial pace of sales is roughly on par with demand generated when the Galaxy S6 series phones reached the market last year.

Samsung said sales for Saturday, which is usually a "slow day" when it comes to sales, fared pretty well.

The two latest high-end smartphone models, first showcased at a trade fair in Spain last month, came with much larger battery capacities and are water-proof and dust-resistant.

The phones also sport a much improved low-light camera with extremely fast auto focusing.

The company, moreover, brought back an expandable memory option that was missing in the Galaxy S6 series.

Samsung expects the Galaxy S7 series to play a decisive role in revitalizing sales as the company's mobile business division has remained well below its heyday figures.

Tech Buzz: Intel to launch compute-on-a-stick device this year

Intel has come up with a compute-on-a-stick device which is pre-installed with Windows 8.1 or with Linux. The stick is four inches long and it carries a quad-core Intel Atom processor. Call it by its name, Compute Stick, or think of it as a neat way to do your work in a pocket-sized form factor. The stick has an HDMI output, a USB port and a microSD card slot.

Intel described the Compute Stick as having "built-in wireless connectivity, on-board storage, and a micro SD card slot for additional storage." The Intel Compute Stick launches later this year and the Intel Compute Stick site said to bookmark the page for details, product specs and availability information. What is already clear is that benefits include economy and convenience, as Intel said it offered "everything you love about your desktop computer in a device that fits in the palm of your hand." This is to be a low-cost plug-and-play transforming any large display into a functional computer. The mere fact that the stick has a Linux version for some is news in and of itself.

Lee Mathews in Geek.com ran through the differences between the stick's Windows 8.1 and Linux versions. With Ubuntu pre-installed, this Linux Compute Stick is to cost less. The stick will have just 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Mathews said that was still plenty of power for basic computing tasks. The Windows with Bing version has 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage, and is priced at $149. Mathews said, "The Compute Stick could be a great way for schools, public libraries and other budget-constrained organizations to stretch their technology dollars." About Telangana Water Grid:

Telangana state government has taken Telangana Water Grid project as a prestigious project, the state government has allocated the cost of Rs.25, 000 crore rupees. This project is set up to permanently resolve the drinking water problem in the state of Telangana. Telangana Water Grid will use 160 TMC water, where it uses 80 TMC each from Godavari and Krishna rivers and it would likely to be completed in 4 years time. A parallel water grid project was set up in the Gujarat state by the previous Gujarat Chief Minister and present prime minister of India Mr.Narendra Modi. Telangana state legislator's officials and officers has visited Gujarat to study the project, Telangana Chief Minister Mr.K.Chandra Sekhar Rao said in a press meeting that he would lay foundation stone for the Telangana Water Grid project in Nalgonda District. Where Nalgonda district is a fluoride-affected area. The work will begin in Nalgonda, Karimnagar and Khammam to cover all four regions of the state.

TSOSS 10th and Inter Supplementary Exams 2014 - 2015 Telangana Open School Society

Telangana State Open School Society (TSOSS), Hyderabad, Telangana State has informed that the supplementary examinations for 10th Class / SSC and Intermediate classes will be conducted from 27th December 2014.

The supplementary examinations for both Tenth Class and Inter will be held till 7th January 2014. The examination timings are from 2 PM to 5 PM everyday.

The practical examinations for Intermediate students will be held from 8th January to 10th January 2014. The detailed time table is available on the website www.aponline.gov.in .

The AP government has introduced open school system for the benefit of those who are ot able to pursue tenth and intermediate in regular school system. The degrees yearned through open school system will be considered as equal to regular system.

While Microsoft is yet to release the final version of Windows 10, a newly leaked build of the operating system gives a sneak peek into what is in store.

A video released by WinBeta showcases the 9901 build of Windows 10, which comes with a number of features that could make it to the final consumer version. As it's not the final version, many apps are currently broken, but a quick look at the interface shows that it's a lot cleaner and advanced compared with the earlier builds.

Cortana: The latest build of Windows 10 has a search feature built in, which lets you conduct voice searches using Cortana. While Cortana takes forever to load results in the current build, it is expected to function properly to give you web-based results when Windows 10 releases for consumers.
