Chinese New Year is just round the corner. U know when (some) supermarkets, shops and (chinese) radio station are playing the tok tok chang, gong xi ah gong xi ... faa ah ta chai song. why are most of them so loud and noisy one? is it cos they are 'chinese'?

anyway...if u are bored by those tong tong chang music, maybe u shld listen to THIS.

before you guys come asking me or Z what i want this year? for my bday, of cos. well... i tot i give you guys a head start, so you, yes, you... my sweet lovely generous kind most caring fwens can pick any of the following and surprise me. ok! Dun worry, i wont ask for branded designer stuffs nor really really expensive stuffs that will eat into yr bank account, esp with the new credit card enforcement. so...

1. pay off my existing credit card bills. ;) ok, ok, maybe some of it ie. $. dun we all love the smell of mooleh.

2. external hard disk of at least 1TB (why not). my hardrod is having old technology age sickness.

3. this bag. Size matters and loving the quilted leather. who need the double C?

4. Ally McBeal complete series boxset DVD. original if possible or maybe the deluxe version?

5. a pair of sunnies that fits my big face. never can have enuf of them but NO oakleys please, and dun waste money on those fake ones either. Real fwens will know which I LOVE.

6. a slanket. why not? been wanting ever since i saw it.

I'm not asking alot, am I? Some of the stuffs can be bought online, so no excuse for overseas readers/fwens, hor. ;) See I'm so thoughtful, even include the link for you guys and dolls. advance advance notice!!!

1. photo frames. I have enough, plus i haven't got that many pictures to show off.

so far, the weddings i saw or attended locally are not as 'special' as featured on this site. There's a VERY fine line between unique and tacky. remember the couple updating their fb/twitter status on the altar...oh well...

just my little observation, in weddings, offices and especially in one of the hmm... really really local islamic banking (the irony). We all have seen them around.

Aren't baju melayu or kurung, according to the Islamic requirement to enclose the body (except the face and hands) and that clothes should not be tight and body hugging as to show the outlines of the wearer’s body? oh well...

like i sed, i have seen where the SEAMS ARE CALLING FOR TOLONG. Its so effing tight that they are struggling to hold in place. and worse, the ladies are flaunting (big up for those who have the goods) but in a open office environment where a few guy colleagues are trying to 'brush' against her while she giggling, 'eh jangan eh', giggling somemore (loving the attention), AND ignoring waiting customers. halo!!! Or maybe that's entertainment for waiting customers?

Dun get me wrong, fashionistas out there. I big-up to you ladies - big or petite, who are body confident and all, but there's a fine line.

while Z was away winning prizes (note the 's') ;) last saturday nite...no no, not the critic's choice award ;p, CONGRATS ya!!!. So I spent the night with C.

Our first 2010 date was just brilliant. We went to try out the korean/japanese restaurant in g-town for the very first time. wat do we think? I sed brilliant cos we HAD the whole place to ourselves. NO one to disturb us at all, while k-pop music is blasting over the speakers. (que: i want nobody, NO BAH DI, but U) and that's about it really.

C suggested the place as she heard it came highly recommended by her korean fwens who claimed to be the most authentic k-food in town, while I heard otherwise. So...

We had mixed meat platter BBQ and a pot of 'ginseng' chicken soup which took like forever to arrive. anyway...before we threw all the meat into our throat, we tasted the 'freebies'. nah, those small small complimentary savouries. afraid no pics, cos was busy eating and catching up.
Then came our plate of meat and onto the metal rack. Got to say, the chunky beef pieces are soooo damn chewy that both of us cannot even swallow!

I kid you not. I even tried cutting them to smaller pieces and chew chew. Cannot!!! Good thing, they changed them to other meat when we kindly told the waitress.

As for the soup, hmm... i saw no ginseng and tasted no ginseng. Maybe its a different kind of ginseng for all i know, but the chicken is really really juicy and soft. A few told me the food there were quite salty and blah di blah (not good comments), hence put me off from going since it opened, well...let's just say, after leaving the place, our mouth was dry and felt very thirsty!!! I do wonder, how much 'flavoring' were in the pot of soup?

Woke up early at a ridiculously hour due to thirst!!! Need water!!! In the half wake-half sleep moment, I think I g-talked with oqui, found out Merryl Streep & Sandra Bullock had a lip-moment on stage. CONGRATS!

I might be the only one left in this little country, who have not watch Avatar - who have not raved about the Blue men & women, who have not talk how brilliant the graphics are, who have not watched it 2 or 3 times over and over in the cinema.

It was a great great surprise gift from Z few years back, when i started blogging.

In such economic climate, I decided to not renewing my dot.com. So yeah. Anyone now can buy the domain, which is highly unlikely. But yeah. It will be available come February-ish. I also forgot when the exact date liao. So giving you guys advance notice here.

Thus, from next month onwards, bidarlah will be longer and a mouthful. ;) 8 ~~inches~~ alphabets longer.

instead of doing a recap for 2009, i decided to post 'few of my favorites thing' for 2009. here goes...

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things... ;)

favorite new series...

there quite a few good new series this year like Glee to Drop Dead Diva, from Accidentally on Purpose to Better off Ted, yes...i love comedy series. But the one I find the FARNIEST!!! and everytime i watch it again and again, never fail to make me laugh is...

Modern Family. The characters are all tooooo hilarious and brilliantly portrayed esp. my fav. Cam, Manny and Gloria. Super farney i tell you. The storyline and dialogue move fast yet full of dry humour & unexpected plot twists. (pic)

favorite movie

Quite a many of films out this year, but I have not been to the cinema much this year to make me want to spend my 6 to 8 bucks on, or even my hard each moooleh on dvd.

The ones that i did eventually go and watch, i totally enjoyed - some more than others. But if i have to pick a favorite, hmm...i choose ...UP.

look, Uncanny!!!! :) no, its not me. But it could be.

Initially i only chose one movie ie. UP, but over the holidays, i watched 500 days of summer. wow! Its a movie that everyone can relate too and while watching it, makes u (me) think about love. reality vs expectation. when u with the one u really love... why and when things changed... am i not?...haven't i done enuf?... why do one changed? and when love change, why everything around us (memories) we described & once loved so much, changed like just tat?.

the film is filled with loads of ups and downs, 'back and forth', happiness and sadness, well...just like when a boy meets a girl, but...its not a love story. Great soundtrack and blends bliss & blues!!! If u have not watch, GO. ooo Joseph Gordon-Levitt is well deserved for the nomination.

and ooo...one of the crappiest movie & wasted 2 hours on is The International!!!- Ceeps u owed me another movie for that ;p
