Patrick Doolin paraded with a Steve Johnsen sign over his head
The Forest Park Review said that Steve Johnsen is their choice
He's the smartest man in Forest Park and needs people to hear his voice
He stood outside of Ed's Way soliciting votes
Shoving his agenda down everone's throats
Election day came and judgement time was here
We watched the results while sipping our beer
Out of eleven candidates Steve Johnsen placed eight
Seeing him lose that race was surely great
Steve's final vote tally was 973
If he got 21 more votes he would have beat the high school teen
In the end we're certain that Steve Johnsen's ego was killed
We'll call Steve and Patrick up when our gutters are filled!!!

Is it race baiting or bad journalism?

Is it race or bad behavior? Is a piece that the powers that be at the Forest Park Review (Oak Park Resident Dan Haley) should have given back to Bobby Scoop Skolnik (per zabasearch.com Oak Park or Willowbrook Resident) and told him to resubmit when completed. We think the spin doctors are in full swing with this one. The spin? The police are picking on us because…

Where did Scoopy go wrong? He interviewed the bar owners and bar patrons. A good start in our opinion. One assumes that the bar owner whose establishment is up for sale (see http://www.bizbuysell.com/Business-Opportunity/Forest-Park-Bar-and-Grill-7247-Roosevelt-Rd/515023/) is likely the one who contacted the media. "I've never seen so much police" is a quote by a grammatically disabled patron who also states, "I don't understand it." Another patron is quoted as saying "It's terrible, it's horrible, it's ridiculous." If you do nothing wrong then who cares how many police officers are outside. What is so terrible? Is it terrible that police are patrolling an area in response to neighbor complaints? It sure sounds like the people interviewed, including the owner, just don't like the police or have some type of fear of the police yet Bobby never asks why the people are so concerned with squad cars being in the area. All that could be deduced, "The customers of Tonik are convinced that the police are watching them just because they are black." That is about as meaningful as us stating that aliens in conjunction with federal authorities and the Fox Broadcasting Co have been signaling us for years because we like Converse All Stars so we wear aluminum foil hats. Not factual, but our opinion and the foil does prevent the signal barrages for the record.

Scoop also interviews the police chief and mayor, making for a good balance so far and what we expect every reporter would do when tasked with writing this story about the plight of the Tonik customer. These two state that the reason for an upswing in police cars in the area is neighbor complaints. Not just one complaint, but a number of them on a regular basis from what we interpret. Hats off to these two public servants. Seems like they are doing their jobs. Sounds to us like maybe in Oak Park and Willowbrook when you and your neighbors ever complain about regular disorderly late night behavior week after week after week after week to the police and the town, Mr. Skolnik, you prefer that there is no response, especially if the violators are non whites and instantly claim to be picked on because of skin tone.

The article states that the reporters were in the bar two Saturdays in a row. Another good move, but now we start to call bullshit Bobby. How come you did not go on a Friday night? How about a Thursday night? Sunday? Monday? Tuesday? Wednesday? Are there other nights of the week that might attract a crowd a little different than the "mature and mellow" people that "seemed to be at least 25 years old and many were clearly older than 30?" Is Saturday night the only night police cars are around there? What attracted the Scoopinator to Saturday night like a moth to a candle and kept him away other nights of the week? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Do you smell it? Yes that's dookie. We see the picture being painted now and the picture is not complete.

Now, what else is missing? Ah yes. The neighbors. Bobby Skolnik from Oak Park or Willowbrook neglected to talk to the neighbors. The people complaining, Scoop. The source of the increased presence of police per the Village is the complaining neighbor! Don’t you think the story would gain real validity if you talked to them? Ohhhhhhhhh no, Scoopy Pie dare not do that because then it might be more difficult to make the mayor and police chief look like the bad, bad men that the Forest Park Review wants to portray them to be and might not make Scoop's new found bar buddies look good if he found that the neighbors really complained. This might also show that yes, there is some "bad behavior" down here.

Here's another thought to make for a newspaper article that preaches the truth. Talk to the neighboring bars. There are three bars there in all, you mentioned them in your rag tag piece of literature. What do drinkers at the other two bars think of the police hanging around and the behavior observed at Tonik? Nope. Bob dare not unlock that door because he may uncover more of the truth and not tip the scales the way in which he and the Forest Park Review wishes.

We have more, but a final improvement to this article might be for Mr. Skolnik to actually write what he saw the police doing to the customers that was so terrible, horrible and ridiculous other than drive about or park. The article does not say that the police harassed customers in any way shape or form. The only thing cited was a police presence and arrests made on days that Bob Skolnik was not at the bar. Couldn't do that either, though.

Is it race baiting or bad journalism? Our vote. Both.

The Results Are In

It is well over a week since the latest election and several months since our last message. The Forest Park Forum Review Probe had a closed door meeting regarding this act of democracy and our writer's block. We are sad that there are no more Carl Nyberg Forest Park video pieces on YouTube. We were going to go on about the lobster buoys and other fine decorative pieces one could purchase whilst shopping at PaddyDesign.com, but decided instead to say, "ha ha fucking ha" to Patrick "Gomez Adams" Doolin. You lost again PaddyCakes. Seventh place in an eight candidate race with 10.98% of the vote. 378 votes from last place where you belong, 2,552 votes from first place where you will never be and 1,099 votes from the fourth place spot which would win you a trustee seat. Cough cough cough. Back to painting those lobster buoys and making statements like "Chicago Irish" with them in the breakfast nook Gutter Boy. By the way when is the next show? The last one listed is December 1st 2007 and we were really hoping to get our mitts on some Pumpkin Push In's before the October rush. With that odd tic that you have is it difficult to hold the paint brush steady? Just wondering.

Happy Holidays

Three of our favorite men, one dance floor...

http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/5PhoezWTGIvEEu5D5I3r

Everyday is Halloween in Forest Park...

<img style="float:right; Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois we, again, had you wrong. You are not trying to be a reincarnated, 1960's, we can change the world guy after all. We thought maybe you were trying to be a stereotypical, Green Party, hippie scum hell bent on sticking it to the man. Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois we figured that you were a non-conformist who conformed with with those who refuse to conform. "Under the Bush administration…" These are about the only words we heard come out of Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois' mouth in this, the final of the four videos in YouTube.com's Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois series. Watching Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois speak in this video put us into an odd trance. You would think he was trying to mind meld in some way with us to get us running to the polls to vote democratic in the upcoming election after plastering Obama bumper stickers all over every inch of the rear of our hybrid cars, but that was not it. Maybe it was the across the table from Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois camera angle that made us actually believe we were in the Nybergian lair breaking bread and sharing alfalfa sprouts in the dinning area of Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois, which caused us a peculiar anxiety, but it was not that. Maybe we thought we were watching Let's Make a Deal with the great Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois playing the part of Monte Hall and were deciding if we should choose what is behind door number one on the left or door number two on the right. Nope, this was not it not it. Wait, this is one of those Halloween type video clips we get in our email from friends this time of year where all of a sudden a monster pops unexpectedly on screen and screams shaking us out of our Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois spell. This never happened. We just stared. Then we found that it appears at times that Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois is missing his left eye in this one which would explain to us his need to leave the armed services, but discovered that it was just bad lighting. Finally it dawned on us. Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois gets product placement money. Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois, you are a crafty one. Why didn't we think of this? We thought you just got money from relatives, or possibly government social programs, or from Patrick Doolin realtor advertisements on your blog, or doing odd jobs here and there, but Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois you have outdone yourself and put us in our place. Getting the Morton Salt Company to pay you to place their product in your video is beyond genius Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois. We were wrong, again. We pondered until it dawned on us.

Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois is the Robert Conrad of the new millennium. The thread is titled BOYCOTT H&R TOWING by frequent poster Repoman. We were not going to look at the tirade but our curiosity got the best of us. First, let us share what Repoman, aka Anthony J. Lazzara, wrote on Forest Park Forums on the evening of September 26, 2008. This is taken directly from the Forest Park Forums.

Coincidence or Karma?

Last night after I got home from work some drunk idiot in a red Corvette going god knows how fast spins out and totals the vette when he hit my neighbor's tree. This was about 1:AM but it was loud enough to wake up several of the neighbors. The driver tried to hide by running into the back yard and hid in the basement window well but someone saw him and the responding officers were able to nab him.
H&R was called out to recover the vehicle. Now some people might think I'm nit picking but I feel that this company is run by a bunch of unprofessional, disrespectful, thugs. I know a lot of towing outfits and deal with them daily in my profession. H&R has no respect for our local Ordinances, the residents that live around their shop or the average customer(by choice or not). Every Tow company I can think of requires their drivers to wear some sort of uniform and the better ones even wear reflective clothing so passing motorists can see them.

As every time I have seen him, the driver last night (one of the owners) shows up wearing khaki shorts and a bright colored polo shirt (pink or orange or something similar). OK might not be a big deal to some but to me it shows a lack of professionalism especially for being contracted by our Village. I heard that's what he wore to court yesterday too. Guess he never had that talk from mommy or daddy about appropriate attire. Or maybe he just doesn't care. No biggy, just another reason I don't like them.

Here's the more important reason for my beef today. After Mr. H&R very poorly winches the Corvette onto the flatbed causing more damage to the front end with the winch cable and scraping the hell out of the back end as he dragged it across the ground instead of wedging the flatbed under the front end first he very distinctly looks down at the tremendous amount of glass and debris all around the street, parkway, and sidewalk, shrugs his shoulders and walks away.

Now for all of you boys and girls who don't know it, every tow truck in the state of Illinois is required to carry a broom, shovel, garbage can, oil dry and some other items and as a village contracted accident scene tow company they have no excuse leaving any debris behind. Ever!

Later this afternoon I found out that my neighbor had to rake up the debris and left a pile of broken glass in the street that still hasn't been picked up. Here's the part that really pissed me off. My 11 year old came home from school and started telling me about the cool broken car mirror he found on the way to school this morning among alot of broken glass. He even had it on his shelf in his bedroom. Good thing he didn't cut himself on any glass.

My neighbor did a good job but there is still glass everywhere. It's a shame people walk their dogs around here all day and night, I hope no little kids or animals are hurt by the negligence of H&R Towing.

Campbell's Towing is who I would recommend to everyone around here. They are quick, professional and reasonably priced.

Man oh man where do we begin? The obvious place is thanking the voters in the Village of Forest Park for not electing The Repoman as one of their commissioners. Tony J. Lazzara did not get the whipping that Carl Nyberg and Jerry Webster received but he was number six in a field of eight with 1,006 or 10.77% of the 9,345 votes cast per www.voteinfo.net and thankfully lost.

Now let us expose what we find odd about this Repoman diatribe. Per The Repoman, who knows "a lot of towing outfits," "Every Tow company I (The Repoman) can think of requires their drivers to wear some sort of uniform." The Repoman goes on to describe the khaki shorts and bright colored polo shirt worn by the tow truck driver calling this unprofessional. Hey! Repoman! Who are you kidding here? He is a tow truck driver you rube! These are people who tow cars and you want them in some standardized dress wear? When we think of tow truck driver we think an unshaven hick with a grease stained baseball cap, a tee shirt, a mullet, ripped soiled blue jeans and boots. In cold weather they may be wearing a satin jacket with the tow company information silk screened on the back which we guess is a "uniform." The shorts and polo shirt you describe is actually nicer then what we see most tow guys wearing, though we are not in the inner sanctum of the towing industry like you represent yourself as being. What is the Repoman's uniform when he is tooling around town in the Repomobile?

Now we move onto the debris. Yes, the law says that the tow driver needs carry a broom on his truck and to pick up debris that is in the roadway. Take a gander at the Illinois Vehicle Code 625 ILCS 5/12-606 and read the law for yourself and see how Mr. Repoman misinterprets (Illinois Tow Truck Statute). You do not see anything there about picking up debris on the parkway or sidewalk in the law do you? The driver could have gone above and beyond what is mandated by law cleaning the parkway and sidewalk but is not obligated to. Given the lack of light due to overhang from trees on this corner the polo shirted tow man may not have been able to efficiently do so or see. Reading on it appears that the neighbor raked the debris into the roadway yet the Repoman is mad at a tow company for the debris in the street. The Repoman expresses concern for the safety issues due to the "glass everywhere" yet does not mention that the man so caring about these safety issues did anything to clean up to help protect the vast amounts of dogs being walked here. By the writing you expect to see large shards of glass lying about the street and jetting out of the ground ready to cut and slice every passerby but when you look at the photos he posted you see two of a kid holding a rear view mirror, one of a damaged tree and two of the street and parkway. Do you see glass everywhere? The Repoman might be stretching the truth a little bit here to promote his anti H and R cause.

Anthony "the Repoman" Lazzara is mad that his child brought home a rear view left behind in the crash and had it on display in his room. We would be mad if our children brought home discarded car parts and made them part of the décor in their bedrooms too. We understand the anger here but the Repoman is mad at a tow company because his boy picked a harmless item off of the ground and brought it home. A stick looks more dangerous than that mirror the Repoman pictures. Maybe a trip to the mall will keep Junior from picking up and playing with street trash. The Lazzara's need to set that boy straight.

Campbell's Towing get's the Repoman's seal of approval. Can someone please describe the Campbell's uniform to us when they see one of the drivers.

Anthony Lazzara aka the Repoman we know you are defending the honor of you BFF Fred the Administrator Broeker in a smear campaign against H and R towing yet you show what a complete meathead you are in your post. A sensible man would not be mad at the towing company. A person with an iota of common sense would be mad at the person driving the car. The person you describe as a "drunk idiot." The person who was going "god knows how fast" and "spins out and totals the vette" should be the focus of your anger. This person was obviously so impaired they were unable to keep their car on the road. Talk about a safety issue. What if the "drunk idiot" crashed into your house and hurt you or a family member? What if the "drunk idiot" smashed into your car as you got home from work or were driving home from work and maimed you? What if that "drunk idiot" t-boned a car driven by your wife while your son was in the back seat? What if that "drunk idiot" hit one of the people who "walk their dogs around here all day and night?" What if that "drunk idiot" hit your son while he was crossing the street? Don't focus on the "drunk idiot," you keep worrying about the broken safety glass Tony "the Repoman" Lazzara.

Our Hero Returns

We just cannot resist commenting on this gem from our stereotypical forty year old male who was born and raised in the People's Republic of Oak Park and spoon fed Marxist, left wing ideology throughout his public school education. Yes, it is Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois, again, starring in this You Tube hit with a whopping 283 views. We think, at least 113 of them our by members of the Forest Park Forum Review Probe who liken watching this video to going to the Brookfield Zoo. In this video we see a live, native Oak Parkian in his real life Forest Park habitat. Don't worry about him biting if you get too close because he is probably a pacifist. Conscientious objectors do not react with violence, they will only try to talk louder than you, wave their hands about and use many multi syllable words if your opinion is not in line with theirs. Always remember when approaching a Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois your opinion is wrong because he is from Oak Park, Illinois and attended Oak Park River Forest High School and knows better than you. Join us and peek into the world of the man, the legend in his own mind, the Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois.

Let us begin with the clothing worn by Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois. A green "Wellstone for President 2000" t shirt. The shirt is a true sign of an extremist. According to The Dumb Dumbs Guide to Being A Left Wing Radical you wear this shirt on the anniversary of Wellstone's death on October 25 or when all of your hemp wear is in the laundry hamper. Wellstone is so milquetoast he makes Michael Moore look like a storm trooper. I was surprised to learn that Wellstone did not attend OPRF.

The hair in this video of Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois amazes us and we think it may have magical Medusa like qualities. We believe if the video was much longer than thirty six seconds we may have turned to granite. The Dumb Dumbs Guide To Being A Left Wing Radical demands you sport either shoulder plus length hair or the white man afro and facial hair.

There is the refrigerator to Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois' right that surprisingly does not have several crayon drawings that he made for his mommy that she displayed because she is so proud of how creative her little Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois is.

Behind Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois is the Arabian like archway leading to a dark room, a cavern, a den. We could not stand the suspense and wait for Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois to stop blocking our view of Nybergland. The Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois lair lays beyond the arch and we get a good glimpse of it at the thirty five second mark. Note the lack of other humans. Behold, the radiator, the coffee table, the drawn shade, the lap top computer, the light source and the couch that looks leather but we know that anyone wearing a Wellstone for President shirt would only purchase faux leather products. This is where the magic happens people. The headquarters of the Proviso Probe is right before your eyes. Take it in. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it inspires us. It is a regular Tribune Towers there.

Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois appears to be holding a script while talking in this piece. Practice makes perfect. We think Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois needed to rehearse in front of the mirror a few more times with this speech because we have a little script stumbling at about second number twenty six. Despite this little error we listened to what the self righteous Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois had to say. We laughed. The title states what Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois took over thirty seconds to ask, "Have Federal Income Tax Cuts Caused Property Tax Increases?" Why laugh? It is a good question but consider the source. Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois rents and pays no property taxes to the best of our knowledge. We are not sure that he ever has personally paid property taxes. According to his resume on facebook.com Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois last worked for the US Campaign to Ban Landmines from May 1997 to December 1997. Currently, Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois has stated in his Proviso Probe rants that he works. We do not know where he works or that he has had significant employment since December 1997. In all, we are not confident that Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois has contributed too much to the two taxing bodies he speaks about for at least eleven years. Why make this video then? Because Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois cares about us all. Thank you Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois though we know why these increases happen. The increases happen because people like you Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois demand so much from the government yet contribute so little.

Did I Hear Something?

We condider this blog satire and know not to many people view it. We do not take ourselves seriously at the Forest Park Forum Review Probe and are not consumed with the on-line community or posting daily. Some of you may be like us and take a moment out of your busy schedule now and again to view the non village run message boards of the Village of Forest Park at forestparkforums.com. Others may be truly obsessed with this board and lurk often. You may also fall into that category of person who actually posts on this board on a regular basis and uses a clever screen name like Administrator, Sentry, Watcher, BCBandit, PieHead, Logic, Dog Catcher, Repo Man, Mr. D, Queen Bee, Videoguy, Jujubee50 or Pitbull.

We do not think that the number of regular posters is anywhere close to fifty but for sake of argument let us say that there are one hundred regular posters on Forest Park Forums and fifteen thousand people living in Forest Park (we know it is just less than 16,000). If you do the math using these numbers you see that only 0.67% of the population in the Village of Forest Park posts on this board. Looking at the board we think we can safely assume that the number of regular posters is actually on the smaller side though we assume the average weight of the regular poster is on the high side. This group of social retards likely has little face to face interaction with neighbors and other humans so they go online to look for people they can call friends and complain like a preschool full of tired and hungry babies with wets diapers and skin rashes. It is hard to fathom how often this core group actually posts but take a moment and look at the dates and time stamps of their postings. This posting minority is non-stop in their rants. They spend a lot of time on the forums.

Paint the picture in your head. Who is the regular poster? Do you sense it? The dark paneled room illuminated by the glow of a computer monitor with the dirty carpeting covering the floor and the gerbil in the corner cage running on the wheel. The Wal-Mart press wood desk littered with the collection of empty diet soda cans, snack wrappers, used tissue, Star Wars action figures and die cast classic cars. The creaking swivel desk chair ready to buckle under the weight of the poster. The odor of sweaty, chubby person wafting through the musty, basement air. The sound of the Cheeto stained computer keyboard being tapped and the poster giggling to themselves when they see their message on the screen and others responding. It is a regular nightmare.

A recent brainchild on this board is the "Caught in the Act" string and it is a perfect example of the no good spew that the Forest Park Forums produces. One of the regular bellyachers is asking people to take photos of people in the act of doing something that they should not be doing. The photo contest seems based on retaliation and is geared at finding a police officer in Forest Park eating a donut or using a nightstick on a senior citizen but it is not limited to that. We plan on winning and we are going to leak our secret. The winning photo is not going to be of a cop or a politician or another village employee. We are going to camp out in the area of Ferdinand and Harvard. Just south of the school on Ferdinand is a white, run down home with coach house that is just as dilapidated. The house is complete with a swing in the front lawn, a yard lacking landscaping, a partial, shabby privacy fence and what looks like an abandoned auto on the rear parking slab. We think watching this house will be the golden ticket to victory. Imagine capturing moon shining, meth running, inbreeding, back yard archery, puppy milling or a jug band in the village limits. We do not know if this type of stuff happens at this location however we think if these or similar acts were going to take place in the village limits this would be the place and our cameras are ready. Get er done.

Here we go again

We are sorry but this guy is just too freakin' easy.

Here we have another You Tube video featuring Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois. There are a total of four videos in the Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois collection. In this video, Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois wears his Illinois sweatshirt to show you that he is from Illinois, to appear colligiate, to protect himself from the chill that was likely in the fall air when he recorded this masterpiece and we guess to cover the holes and yellow pit stains that we suspect are on that white undershirt. The poor guy looks like he is the product of an experiment gone awry where an evil Nazi scientist crossed a raccoon and chipmunk. The racmunk or chipcoon in turn mated with an ugly human resulting in a Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois.

Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois is very, very, very blinky in this video. Are the high numbers of blinks the result of a nervous tic? Are there flea type insects leaping from his patchy beard into his eyes? Is he blinking because he cannot believe his eyes because it started raining men? We do not know if he is dosed or under a doctor's care, but is the high blink volume due to a side effect from psychotropic medication that a special boy like Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois may be prescribed to help quiet the voices in his head and keep away all the bad, bad people that are out to get him?

Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois changed locations for this shoot going from the kitchen to the porch. It is a very down home touch and for some reason I feel like knocking back a few Bartle and Jaymes Wine Coolers when I am done watching it. I wonder why?

Holier than thou

Let us hop into our time machine and set the way back to November 26, 2006. I remember the day well. The Forest Park Review came out that day and there was an article by Josh Adams titled, Campaign sign draws politician's complaint. Per the article's photo caption, "Comm. Patrick Doolin argued to village officals that this campaign sign for Mayor Anthony Calderone must be removed because it violates a village ordinance." Doolin is quoted in the article stating, "We are, and this is, a village and a country of laws." Doolin's complaint was Doc Ryan's having Anthony Calderone signage on the business thirty days prior to an election in violation of a local ordinance. It is an interesting article showcasing Patrick Doolin's political grandstanding with the Village of Forest Park local ordinance being cited below (8-6-5-B-3).

8-6-5: PERMITTED SIGNS

B. Signs Allowed Without Permit, Fee Or Inspection: Except as regulated by sections 8-6-6 and 8-6-7 of this chapter and/or as expressly prohibited in section 8-6-9 of this chapter, and notwithstanding any other contrary provisions of this code, the following signs may, subject to the following limitations, be erected and maintained in any district without obtaining a sign permit or paying the fee required for such permit:

3. Election Signs: Such signs shall be located entirely on private property pursuant to the owner's consent, shall be permitted no more than thirty (30) days prior to an election, and shall be removed within two (2) days after that election. Unless such sign includes on its face the name of the person or organization responsible for such sign, the owner of the private property on which such sign is located shall be deemed responsible for such sign.

Hop back into our time machine return to the present. It is September 15, 2008. It is 50 days before the November 4, 2008 election day. We travel to the 600 block of Thomas where we find the home of Patrick Doolin's friend and business partner, Steven Johnsen who "liked going to Old Country Buffet on Sunday mornings after attending St. Bernardine's Catholic Church." What do we see planted in the front yard of Johnsen's home…

It is a blue campaign sign for Tony Peraica who is running for the position of Cook County State's Attorney against Anita Alvarez in the November 4, 2008 election.

Patrick might want to have a talk with his friend Steven because "We are, and this is, a village and a country of laws," and someone at the Johnsen estate has chosen to thumb their nose at this Village of Forest Park local ordinance. You would think that a former police lieutenant would have more respect for the law. Why would we vote for a candidate for Cook County State's Attorney vowing to FIGHT CORRUPTION when his supporters cannot even follow simple ordinances?

Dear Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois...

No. Carl Nyberg, Oak Park, Illinois born and raised, but now living in Forest Park, Illinois.

That was quite the video. You look very pretty in your YMCA T shirt. Oh and we love what you have done with your hair. Very MC5ish. It was nice of you to get all gussied up for this.

Recording yourself at the kitchen table is a nice added touch, you even have Morton Salt behind you on the shelf, very original. The whole ghetto motif certainly suits a radical champion of the little man like yourself. By the way, where did you get that map? No bachelor's kitchen is complete without a districting map is it? Are you going for that college dorm look or do you want people sympathize with your plight because are 40 and still living in dorm like conditions?

Do you ever look at this video or a mirror and realize why you are the laughing stock of Proviso? Close your eyes and listen to the voice, Carl Nyberg. Makes you want to giggle doesn't it? Do you hear the lisp? You are nothing more than a caricature of yourself, Carl Nyberg.

Here is where we get a little confused, Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois. In your You Tube profile one of your favorite videos is "The Weather Girls - It's Raining Men." We understand the whole "House of the Rising Sun" thing and the political clips with you being Mr. I Wish I Were On College Campus In 1968 Protesting Everything, but "It's Raining Men?" Hidden Message? Fantasy? Don't think we did not notice the crossdressing chap from "Dead or Alive" under your favorites also. If you are confused about your identity that explains a lot about why you can be so fiery. Add it up, Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois. YMCA + lisp + a music video highlighting men falling from the sky in stormlike fashion + a man who likes wearing women's clothing whom we believe has a same sex life partner yelping about being spun right round baby right round = ? Oh, you know what it equals and we are not even getting into the whole US Navy variable. We may be incorrect Carl Nyberg, Forest Park, Illinois but if we are right on be proud of what or who you are Carl Nyberg. The Forest Park Review showed its failures, again, with "contributing reporter" Bob Skolnik getting commentary from "Former Forest Park Police Lieut. Steve Johnsen."

There are just under 16,000 people in the Village of Forest Park so why choose Steve Johnsen to ask about his feelings regarding the closing of this buffet? Steve Johnsen has an obvious relationship with the Forest Park Review. In the January 30, 2007 issue of the Forest Park Review there is an article by Josh Adams where Steve Johnsen announced his retirement from the department instead of facing a Police Fire Commission hearing. In the hearing Johnsen faced possible termination for his alleged role in teaming up with then Commissioner Patrick Doolin and having a local business man arrested for Disorderly Conduct. The Cook County States Attorney's Office did not proceed with the case against the business owner who turned around, sued the Village and won. This is who the Forest Park Review interviews regarding the closing of a local business? I am surprised that Patrick Doolin, Carl Nyberg, Maureen Frawley, Terry Steinbach and Daniel Harder were not also telephoned to give their thoughts on the closing of the Forest Park Old Country Buffet.

I find it peculiar that with just shy of 16,000 people living in town one would choose a failed police officer to question. Why not stand in front of a public grade school in town and interview a resident or two regarding Old County Buffet as they drop off their children or pick them up? Commuters who reside in Forest Park could have been interviewed as they exited the El Train at Circle Ave, no? How about asking a current police officer if they go there and what they think? A fireman? A government official? A public works employee? It is because the paper is out of touch, that is why.

From the Mailbox to the Bird Cage

The Forest Park Review is the local, weekly newspaper in the Village of Forest Park, a town with a population of less than 16,000. The publisher is a long time Oak Park resident who hires editors that like seeing the adjective controversial used often within stories. The newspaper goes through editors approximately every two years. This paper hires journalism grads fresh out of college who are trying to make a name for themselves in the world of reporting so they can move onto a larger publication (and maybe use the word controversial less).

The current editor is a hearing aid wearing jerk off who has never resided in the Village of Forest Park. The editor, like the publisher, are not in touch with the Village of Forest Park and it shows in their product weekly. A slew of Oak Park based advertisers and negative articles about the Village of Forest Park are the backbone of the paper.

Reading the Forest Park Review one gets the opinion that the local government is not liked by the powers that be at this neighborhood rag. In 2007, the newspaper endorsed Patrick Doolin for Mayor. Doolin was always written about in this paper when he was commissioner and I guess the fact that he contributed plenty of advertising money to the paper over the years with his real estate ads probably persuaded the endorsement and not his political aptitude (ahem, I mean lack of). Guess who was subsequently trounced in the mayoral primary getting just over 18 percent or the vote. If you said the endorsed candidate you are right. The residents do not buy into what these Oak Parkers try to preach.

The police department is regularly placed in a poor light by this newspaper. The chief of police is made out to be a monster who leads an army of taser carrying goons hell bent on using excessive force on every law breaker encountered. The attacks of the police department are an extension of the hatred of the local government. The police are some of the most visible and important employees in a community, especially one so near the Austin Neighborhood of Chicago, Maywood, Cicero and Berwyn. Attack the chief who is appointed by the mayor and whose appointment is approved by the commissioners and you make the mayor and commissioners look bad. Attack the police officers and residents feel unsafe, live in fear and come election time want a change. The paper's tactics are obvious, though its message is false. Ask any Forest Park cop, aside from those who have a direct line to the newspaper and have been highlighted in stories as victims time and again, what they think of the chief and the department and the Village and you will learn the truth.

Forest Park is not Oak Park. Once the publisher and editor cross Harlem Avenue they are no longer in the Nuclear Free Zone. The people so hell bent on making Forest Park, Oak Park West have to wake up and realize that it is not going to happen. You cannot infect this town with your Oak Park propaganda. We are not going to let your squeaky wheels get oiled. You cater to a minority of the less than 16,000 people in our town. We are going to continued have a Madison Street lined with bars and liquor stores. We are not going to elect rabble rousing and power hungry politicians who run campaigns fueled by mud slinging. We read through your lies Forest Park Review. We are not the People's Republic of Oak Park.

The Forest Park Post on the other hand. That is what a local newspaper should model itself after.

The Smartest Man in Forest Park?

Reading the Forest Park Review "web extra" today I learned that a young child was injured after falling from a second story deck of a home on the 7400 block of Warren. We hear that the young child did not live at the residence and was on the second story deck helping to hang lights. It is tragic and our prayers are with the child and his family.

As for the homeowner on the 7400 block of Warren, this event could not have happened to a bigger clown. One can only hope that it is not the last or the worst calamity in this homeowner's life. Too bad it was not the homeowner that took this two story plunge. What kind of goof has a young child climb with him out of a window onto a roof top deck to put lights up? Pat Doolin, that's who. Way to go Patrick!

Is it true that this guy is a Cub Scout leader? If that is the case I would rather send my kid to Tommy Lee's house for a swim party.
