Winter Wonder-ful!

The Youth Services Department would like to thank all of our kids and parents who made it out to our second annual Winter Wonderland Festival this Sunday, on December 19. We also want to give a very big thank you to our dedicated and tireless squad of youth volunteers who did a variety of jobs that day, from starring in our puppet shows, to serving snacks, to helping with crafts. It's thanks to them that we can bring you programs like this one, and we hope we bring you many more fun programs to come.

Stay tuned for a selection of photos from the big day. In the meantime, however you are celebrating the holidays, we wish all of our families and friends in Forest Park the very best!

The library will be holding a party to celebrate one of our favorite books about a stuffed animal: Knuffle Bunny! Join us on Saturday, December 4 at 10:30 a.m. Roll out of bed and join us for donuts and Knuffle bunny stories. Bring along your own Knuffle Bunny for show and tell. You can also bring a new toy to donate to the Forest Park Community Center Toy Drive. This program is designed for ages 4-8. Click here to register.

Storytime Fun!

Our Fall Storytime Session is over. We had such a great time this fall and especially at the super fun dance party on Friday. Thanks so much for coming out for the puppet show, dancing and snacks. We will begin registration for the Winter Storytime Session on Wednesday, December 1. You can call or register online. Next session will include some different times, so make sure to look this over and register for the one that works the best for you.

Girls Whip Their Hair @ the Library

The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun party was so much fun. Last Friday, girls gathered at the library after hours for games, snacks and dancing. We played some fun games but the dance party was the most fun.

The girls especially liked dancing to Willow Smith's new song Whip My Hair (as you can see in the photo on the right). Check back in 2011 for our next girl themed party.
