Chris and Wendy’s Same Day Edit & Paint the Dress

Oh, where to begin? Wendy and Chris we’re married at the Conservatory Flower Gardens on Belle Isle on July 30th, 2010 in front of 150 of their closest friends and family. The weather was PERFECT. How could the day been any better? President Obama was in town, but he couldn’t make it to the ceremony. The reception took place at Ernie’s, which had one of the coolest ceilings I had ever seen for a venue.

Chris and Wendy’s Same Day Edit & Trash the Dress

We showed their same day edit / trash the dress video between the bridal party entrance and Chris and Wendy’s grand entrance to lead the guests into believing we actually painted her dress after the ceremony. It totally worked. Guests were SHOCKED.

The reception was a total BLAST. I’m pretty sure EVERYONE was on the dance floor at one point or another throughout the night. DJ Lunchbox played some sweet songs, including a personal favorite Jump Around by House of Pain. Their son Tyler really liked it too.

Darrald & Krystina’s Same Day Edit / Love Story Hybrid!

Darrald, a high school buddy from Lake Fenton, married his beautiful bride Krystina at the First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc last weekend. We decided to do something a little special with them, and it took us quite a few brainstorming sessions to nail down something that was realistic and true to them. We went through favorite sports, favorite movies, favorite SNL skits, but nothing seemed to quite fit who they were. We decided to take a step back and scale down the concept of their video and keep it true to them…sweet, romantic, and fun.

Love Story + Same Day Edit:

The reactions:

We started the day off at the M.A.C. counter at Genesee Valley Mall. I bet more than few people thought Krystina was some kind of movie star with all our gear on the counter!

We had the opportunity to work with Dave Lamarand and DJ Ryan Rousseau (some FCP faves!) and things were smooth sailing the whole day! The dance floor was PACKED all night long at the Holy Redeemer Family Life Center.

This is where each special element of your day from your ceremony to your first dance to your cake cutting is filmed simultaneously from two or three different angles, allowing changes in direction for the final version. It’s a great way for the editor to capture all the action and get the very best shot for each special moment.”

Shelby and I only offer only multi-camera coverage of your wedding day. There are so many variables that can happen on a wedding day and sooooo many different exciting shots to capture in just one day we only recommend you choose a videographery company that offers multiple cameras.

Tracy & Jason’s wedding trailer

Tracy and Jason had an amazing wedding at the Twin Lakes Golf Club in Oakland, Michigan. The ceremony took place on the gazebo that overlooked a nice wooded area and some of the golf course.

After the ceremony, Amy took the bridal party out to a few spots on the golf course. On the way to the last location I was filming from the back of a golf cart and Jason thought it’d be funny to bump the cart. It wasn’t funny.

Objects in windshield mean you are too close, Jason.

During their first dance, Tracy’s brother Michael rocked the sax during their first dance…it was great, I loved it.

Henna + Usman

Henna and Usman had a gorgeous wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Michigan. From somber prayers to enthusiastic dancing, they literally had top notch everything. The desert table they offered to guests was HUGE and full of goodies. The dancing on Saturday was so much fun to watch and be a part of, and the photo booth made for some pretty funny moments!

We worked with Henna and decided to do a few unique things. First, we had 2 giant projector hooked into my camera and we did a live feed from the camera. We also edited some of the highlights from Friday and Saturday and showed it right before dinner to all the guests.

Katie + Aaron

We knew we wanted to do Katie and Aaron’s wedding the moment they mentioned using a rubber chicken during the garter. How could we not?

Yeah, they’re wedding rock and they were so much fun to be with. Aaron had some…interesting dance moves, though Shelby got a kick out of Katie’s signature shoulder-shrug dance move.

It’s funny how people act differently in certain settings. Shelby and I had met Stacey twice, once with her mom (Josie) and once with the groom (Shaun). Both times I got the impression that Stacey was pretty conservative and quiet. Boy was I wrong!

Shaun and Stacey were all over the dance floor! Now that I think about it, they were either in the Qwik Picz photo booth or the dance floor the entire night.
