I often have a hard time tossing out the labels and like to put quick cards together. They're always colored so nicely too! This is Holly from Whimsy Stamps and she's adorable. I'm in the process of coloring her up on the side but had to put together this quick card.

Fancy Sunbonnet Thanksgiving

GingerSnaps

I've been waiting to use the Slip 'n Slide Die Set from Whimsy - er, rather, it's been waiting for me patiently sitting on my desk. Well, I finally got around to using it and it's been so much fun. I used the large circle and combined it with the new GingerSnaps! clear stamp. It's been ages since I've created a motion card so I had a few mistakes here and there that needed to be fixed. The biggest one was adding weight to the spinner so it would spin on it's own... in this case I used a dime.

Stained Glass Village

I'm working on a few mail-able Christmas cards which means I'm trying to keep them flat and not square. The new Stained Glass Village rubber stamp from Whimsy Stamps fit perfectly for this and I was excited to color the sky on this one. For embellishments, I added a few gems then dotted Liquid Pearls all around for falling snow.

Winter Pines

It's new release week at Whimsy Stamps and I'm excited that the DoveArt Winter Pines is included in the list. This is such a fun stamp and can be used on it's own but also in the background with other stamps. I've already created two cards with it that I wanted to reshare to give some inspiration for the release.

Christmas Tree

Somewhere I got the idea to make a gold Christmas card and this Christmas Tree stamp seemed to fit the theme. I stamped the background with the Brushed Stripes Background stamp and then built the card up from there. Both of these are fabulous rubber stamps from Whimsy Stamps. The holly leaves were from my stash and I embellished them plus the accessories on the tree with glitter Stickles.

Fancy Sunbonnet Witch

I'm so happy I was able to create a card and join in for today's new Anything Goes challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps. For my project I've used the Fancy Sunbonnet Witch rubber stamp and created this fun Halloween card. The web ribbon and spider charms were from my stash.

Creepy Clowns

It's Whimsy's 31 Nights of Halloween Blog Celebration and tonight is my night to show you something spooky. Hop on over and see all the other fun projects plus great prizes too!

For my project I used the Creepy Clowns clear rubber stamp and also Dracula's Coffin Die Set, both from Whimsy Stamps, to create this scene. The Creepy Clowns set has all sorts of accessories so I had to use a few of them - the balloons, star, banner and the saying.

When I colored the clown, I had given him larger eyes. He doesn't look as grumpy but then I think that makes him even more creepy. LOL

Halloweeners

Boo! This is the Halloweeners clear stamp set which I have paired it with the Dracula's Coffin Die Set, both from Whimsy Stamps. I think Halloween projects are always fun to make because it helps break the mold and allows me to think outside the confines of what is expected of a card. With all the rules relaxed, it's one of my favorite holidays to craft for.

Mountain Song

I needed some more bookmarks around the house and thought this image would be perfect for the size. So it's a flat bookmark and one layer of cardstock to fit in the book. The image is Mountain Song DoveArt for Whimsy Stamps and is a great scene to color. I wanted a splash of color and thought a red herring would be funny so I colored the bird red. It was a bit too much of the red so I brought in some browns and black.

Mazarine Butterfly Fairy

Last time I used the label from Mazarine Butterfly Fairy rubber stamp and then I stamped it and was able to color it in my own style. I wanted to follow a card design by CherylQuilts from Splitcoast Stamps which was an inspiration to me. For the back part, I used the Wire Fence Embossing Folder, also from Whimsy Stamps.

Mazarine Butterfly Fairy

I've used the label from Mazarine Butterfly Fairy rubber stamp which was originally colored by Bev. She did such an awesome job and it fit perfectly with the papers I wanted to use. I then stamped a portion of a sentiment from Magical Birthday Wishes and used the Shaker Maker Pennant Flags die set for a shaker element.

Galaxy Galore Background

It's a new release at Whimsy Stamps and I've created a card using the new Galaxy Galore Background along with the Bundled Up stamp in the foreground. There are loads of other inspiration from the Whimsy DT this week.

I started with embossing the background in white then used my sponge to ink on the blue and faded it towards the bottom. For the girl, I colored her with markers first and then used the pencils to create the knitting. I'll be forever grateful to Annabel for enlightening my world with this texture. I love it!

Birthday Memories - Girl

I've used the Birthday Memories designer series papers from Stampin' Up! to create this project and followed another great card design by Stamps to Die For. I also used some Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments for the sentiment and border around the image; which has some yellow Liquid Pearls. So far this is the only girl project that I've created. I think she's a bit small but maybe I'll be able to come up with another one that I like.

Faye the Fairy

Remember the last project I did trying out a new technique by Sue? After getting some tips from Sue, I used a glossy paper and tried it again. It made a world of difference and the colors are so much more vibrant. It was easy too and now my girls have been having fun creating their own papers. :D For this project I used Faye the Fairy as well as the Magical Birthday Wishes Sentiment stamps, both from Whimsy Stamps.

Fireworks Stencil

For my project today, I decided to try a technique from Sue. I wasn't sure what paper to use and didn't have what she suggested so I just grabbed what paper I had. However, the paper absorbed the ink refills too quickly. But I'm not one to waste so I made a card with it anyway and used the Fireworks Stencil (from Whimsy Stamps) to add some texture.

I used my Prismacolor Pencils and colored on a taupe or krafty color. I actually don't know what color it is but I thought it would work well with a desert theme. Then I colored the sky mostly blues and greys so I'm glad I had a little bit of the taupe color showing.

Circles, Circles, Circles

I've created a quick project using Circles, Circles, Circles and Magical Birthday Wishes Sentiment stamps from Whimsy Stamps. The colors I used were just Memento ink pads so there was no color necessary and that's what made it a quick project. Lastly I added some embellishments and for a final touch I used one of the Pierced Border Trio Die, also from Whimsy Stamps, and added a little blue border.

Cherry Blossom Background

One of the new releases at Whimsy Stamps this week is this Cherry Blossom Background stamps. It's a large size so it'll fit the 6x6 cards too. However, I've stamped and trimmed it down to a standard envelop size so I can mail it. I've also used the Stained Glass Scripture Sentiments from Whimsy Stamps

When I put the card together, I used some white gesso paint and sponged around the edges to soften them up. Then I layered it with two layers of thin foam; in between those layers is a clear sheet that I stamped the sentiment on.

This is part of a Nativity Crochet kit that I've been working on with a friend. My goal is to get the set completed by the end of the year. These are the three wise men. I made some modifications and changed the colors to the pattern to make them unique.

Reindeer Kitty

I have a Christmas project this week using Reindeer Kitty from Whimsy Stamps. I wanted to work on fur texture so I pulled up some pictures of cats and settled on a common tabby. I started with the lightest color and worked towards the dark. Then without blending, I tried to pull in some of the lighter colors where it was needed.
