Randall Enoch was born in Aberystwyth. He was educated at St. Edmund's School, Canterbury, St David's College, Lampeter and the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. After teaching in Buckinghamshire for twenty-five years he became Headmaster of St. Margaret's CE High School, Aigburth, Liverpool. In 1994 he was awarded the OBE for his services to education. On his retirement he served on the Governing Council of Liverpool Hope University, latterly as vice-Chair. He was a Bishop's Selector for fifteen years and he is a licensed Reader at St. Peter's Formby.
