Today we took to the sky! We went almost to the top of this 50 story building in 55 seconds! What a fast elevator!

This looks like it rotates.

I'm a little afraid of highs, except when I'm in a plane. Weird, eh? I was scared the most in New York City when we were at "The top of the rock" on the glass platform that could supposedly "hold an elephant".

Then we went to the Nikon showcase, a couple floors above TOTO.

Then we finished off the day by "trying" to go to the park, but it was closed.

Wednesday 4/7

Today, we chilled way longer than we usually do. We stayed in our apartment until 2:00ish doing homework :'(. Then we went to Akihabara, which is a place with lots of comic and a bunch of electronics.

We then went to the main destination, Yodobashi Camera. Which is nine levels of electronics, which was perfect for me.

After taking this photo they told me I couldn't take photos here. So after we went to Yodobashi Camera we went to Sensoji Temple.

Ooooo. I want the first pair of sandals!

Even if the stores are closed, they look good.

Must have.

The temple was under construction when we went there, but they put a cool cover over it.

Tuesday 4/6

Today, we had breakfast as usual, chilled, and left around 10. On coming out of our apartment I saw this sick porche.

Then we walked down Meguro River, which was beautiful and scenic with cherry blossoms lining the way.

Then we took a left when we reached the Nakameguro station

"Bridgestone" it says.

Theres the world's smallest sushi bar!

Then, we went to my shrine. Shinto shrines, as they are called, are the place to go to bless your children, and to ask the gods for good luck, or a wish. The name of my shrine is Kamimeguro Shrine.

This is where you pray. First your ring the bell, then you toss some coins in, then you clap, and next you pray.

But before you can pray you have to wash your spirit with holy water.

Well, you did ask for more cars. Right?

My old apartment is the one in the middle.

After ourapartmen we walked to Setagaya Park.

Car elevators. Drive your car on here, it lifts up, then the next car parks under your car.

After Setegaya Park we went back to a bus stop we saw and rode it to Shibuya station. Then we went down the shopping street to Loft. Which was super cool.

Knives are higher quality here, and less expensive. Plus they are more COLORFUL!

Then we left Loft and went back to Shibuya station. While going there I tried to get an embarrassing photo of Amelia, my sister.

Once we got home, we watched some baseball! Yomiuri Giants vs. Hanshin Tigers.

Monday 4/5

Today I woke up to the sound of rain on the balcony. Then we chilaxed until about 10 o'clock play Wii, eating breakfast, blogging, and watching weird Japanese TV. You may ask, why do we always chill until about 10? Well, the answer is that most stores in Japan don't open until around ten. For example, the grocery store, precce, doesn't open until 10 and the metro station isn't that crowded around that time. Then, we went to a mall and to a Japanese chain restaurant.

Fire!

This was great.

Fish.

Then we went to the subway and took a train to Ginza and went to the Sony Building. We went to the showroom, which was so cool.

TV for your PS3

Sony Ericsson with Google Goggles.

A really expensive speaker.

Cool touchscreen computer.

Then we took the subway to Venus Fort, the worlds women oriented mall. Which turns from day to sunset to night to dawn every hour.

Then we went back to Venus Fort and my sister found a pet store, so we HAD to go there.

Then we went to the "Casino Plaza" on my whim. What a great decision on my part!

Then we went to the building right across from Venus Fort. It was the Toyota something building. It was super cool and weird at the same time.

Then we rode the subway back to our house and I saw this boat and said, "Mia (my sister) look at that boat!"
My mom then said, "Thats not a boat. Thats a museum!"

Sunday 4/4

Again, we chilaxed because of Jet-lag until about 11-12ish. Instead of going to the main street near our neighborhood we took a different route, we went left out of our apartment instead of going strait. We walked down the street, then walked up it on the other side and saw a ramen shop. So we sat down and we instantly liked it. Here are some photos of it.

Then we walked towards the Tokyo Metropolotian Teien Art Museum because of my sister. It wasn't all that bad thought. I got some nice photos their.

After that we went outside and towards the teahouse and park.

After that we headed back home, had dinner and played Wii bowling as a family!

Saturday 4/3

Today I woke up early, around 5:30ish. We chilled until about ten doing homework, reading, blogging, and eating. Then, I took a better picture to show how small cokes are here.

We then left to go explore our neighborhood as a family. My mom and I show everything we found, then after we went to go have lunch at Yoshinoya, a Japanese fast food restaurant.

Small but good.

I got option C and gave the shrimp to my dad. It was GREAT!

Then we went to the subway and took the JR Yamanote Line to Harajuku and walked to Meiji Jingu, which is such a cool shrine. On the way and in the shrine I took lots of photos and there are below.

While there we saw a rare sight. We saw a wedding ceremony. Its really rare in Meiji-Jingu Shrine because it is such a big shrine.

Then after we went to Meiji-Jingu we walked through Yoyogi Park, then to where my parents used to live when I was a child, and to my sister's shrine.

Then we went home and chilled for the rest of the day and had homemade rice, chicken, and broccoli.

Thursday 4/1

Today, I woke up at 3:00 took a shower, got dressed, and did a couple last minute making things. We got to the airport around 4:30, got our tickets, and went to our terminal. We got on the plane to depart at 5:40 but was delayed to 6:15.

When we got to Chicago O'Hare airport we had some time to chill, so we noodled around the United Airline part of the airport.

That didn't effect our next flight though, which left at 9:30 and landed at 10:45ish (Chicago time, 1 hour time difference by setting it back). We then took of at 12:15pm and on a Bowing 747 which took 12 hours. In that extended amount of time I watched lots of movies and a bunch of British shows. Some of those movies include Fantastic Mr. Fox, Did You Hear About The Morgans?, and Everybody's Fine.

When we landed we had to go through a hour long immigration line. It was so tiring after a 12 hour flight. Then, we had to change our US Dollars ($) to Yen (¥). Then, we got some food (more like a snack) and bought our bus tickets.

When we got to our apartment we made ourself comfy. Its very modern. It has a mac, a HDTV, Wii, a very comfy couch, and one full sized bed. Its very nice and below is a video and some pictures of it.

Friday 4/2

Today, I woke up around 6:45 and chilaxed until about 9:15. At that time me and my mom left to explore our neighborhood and found a 7/11, Pecce, Yoshinoya (Japanese fast food) (Japanese), and a bunch of other cool places. Later today we went to look at the cherry blossoms, they are so beautiful. Tokyu Hands, WHICH IS A MUST SEE IN JAPAN. It is so awesome. Pet stuff, Toys, Clocks, Posters, Stickers, Writing, Bikes, Magic, Clothing and Interior design. You name it, they have it. They even have a whole floor dedicated to miniatures. Mini people, cars, trains, planes, and Star Wars characters even!
