Young Living Essential Oils

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 26 May 2015 17:57:00 +0000

Y'all! I have jumped on the Young Living bandwagon. I'm so glad I did. The more I get into these essential oils, the more concerned I get about where my oils come from. I use essential oils daily on myself and on my children and it's even in the air we breathe because I usually have a diffuser going. I want to make darn sure I can trust where they came from. Enter Young Living Essential Oils.

Have you heard about YL's Seed to Seal Process? Here's some info about it straight from the Seed to Seal website:

"We believe that you and your family deserve products that are genuine, free of synthetic chemicals, and of unmatched purity. Seed to Seal® is both a promise to you and a reflection of our sense of global stewardship."

"Through each step of our production process on both our own and partner farms, we use the most exacting standards possible to make our products, your life, and the earth better. Only one company can make the Seed to Seal promise. Only Young Living."

Another one of the many reasons I chose Young Living Essential Oils was the amount of resources and networking available to me. One of the best resources is our Members-Only Facebook page called Essentially Joyful. This is NOT put out by Young Living, this is simply a place where our readers who have become members can communicate with one another, share what is working for them, ask questions, and build relationships with others who are on this journey to a more healthy and natural lifestyle. This group will help cut your searching time down and get your questions answered quickly.

How do we go about this membership thing? If you want oils, you can always purchase from a distributor but you also have the option to become a Wholesale Member. To keep your Wholesale Member status, you are NOT required to make monthly orders or minimums. None of that. You are NEVER required to tell others about Young Living. You are NEVER bothered by people to work this as a business (if you are, please email us ASAP). You simply are now able to purchase your oils at a discounted price. Think of this like a Sam's or Costco membership…You pay a small fee to become a member and get cheaper prices. BUT… the difference here is that instead of getting a crappy photo ID to prove your membership, Young Living sends you a kit of oils and a diffuser.

Sometimes you may hear the “Wholesale Membership” referred to as a “Distributor” – that never means that you HAVE to build a business. (Of course, if you want to, you can. In fact, to Distribute YL you don’t have to buy some fancy additional kit, you don’t have to purchase $1,000 of product and we will NEVER suggest you carry a stockpile of oils to sell to friends. Distributors get the same starter kits regular Wholesale Members do, they’ve just made some money by telling friends/family about the amazing Oils.)

The Premium Starter Kit includes: Everyday Oils collection (5ml bottles of Lavender, Peppermint, Thieves, Purification, Melaleuca Alternifolia, Joy, Frankincense, Lemon, Panaway and StressAway), Home Diffuser, Citrus Fresh 5-ml, AromaGlide Roller Fitment, two Lavender Sample Packets, two Peppermint Sample Packets, two Peace & Calming Sample Packets, two Lemon Sample Packets, two Thieves Sample Packets, Sample Packet Business Cards, two NingXia Red 2-oz. samples. You can't beat getting 11 oils, 10 sample packets, AND the diffuser for $150.

So… let’s get to the good stuff. How do you sign up for your own Wholesale Membership?! I would like to start by saying, if you were referred by a JoyDropper, PLEASE get the member number of the person that referred you here. Follow the directions below using their Member Number in Step 3 when you sign up. If no JoyDropper referred you, follow the directions below.

Step 1: Click HERE to Get Started!!

Step 2: Keep “Member” checked (you can’t order the starter kit as a customer). This signs you as a “member” to Young Living and it’s the only way to get access to the kit and the 24% discount you get afterwards. It’s really important!

Step 3: Make sure my member numbers are in both the sponsor & enroller blanks – 2803352 (they should be entered here for you if you used the link in step 1).

Step 4: Complete the Info Requested. Your social will be filed away, and never used unless you get a paycheck.

Step 5: On the next page, choose premium starter kit, then compete payment info.

If you have any trouble, please let me know!

In the next few weeks, I'll be posting some awesome recipes that I personally use almost every single day. Can't wait to share these recipes with y'all.

We had a combo birthday/Halloween party for our two girls about a week ago. Of course I scoured Pinterest looking for cute ideas for the party.

When I saw these beauties from Smart School House on Pinterest, I was so excited to make them.

They looked so easy to make - just a few ingredients. And they're so adorable.

Mine???

These ghosts are scary all right

Not so much.

Walmart's Savings Catcher

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 29 Jul 2014 20:52:00 +0000

Have y'all heard of this new service Walmart is offering? I learned about if from a friend on Facebook. It's really a cool deal. It's kind of like price-matching but Walmart does all the work for you. It's called Savings Catcher.

Go shop at Walmart. Then when you get home, go to Savings Catcher, enter your sign-on information (which is the same as your Walmart.com sign-on info) or create a new account. Then you enter that long number that's at the bottom of your Walmart receipt - the TC #. It's right underneath the # Items Sold. You put that number in and put the date that you made the purchase.

You'll get an email from them saying: "Success! We have received and are processing your Walmart receipt."

Then in a couple of days, you'll get another email saying whether they found a lower price or not. If they did, then the email will look similar to this:

"Savings Catcher checked advertised deals from top competitors in your area and found one or more lower prices. That means you get back $*.**!

You can accumulate your Reward Dollars or transfer the amount to your Walmart eGift Card at any time."

Then go back to SavingsCatcher.com. Click Transfer to eGift Card. Then your funds will be transferred to a Walmart eGift card. You'll get another email saying your Walmart Rewards eGift card has arrived. And it says this:

Your Savings Catcher credit of $*.** has been loaded to your Walmart Rewards eGift card. You can redeem your Rewards eGift card on Walmart.com or print for use at any Walmart store.

Save it now and use later:
Save your Rewards eGift card to your Walmart.com account and use it when you are ready to shop.

Store this card and PIN in my account.
If you've lost this email, print the card from My Account to redeem in a store.
Or Select "Use a Walmart Gift Card" during online checkout to use on a Walmart.com purchase.

Remember that your Savings Catcher Credit is always loaded to the same Rewards eGift card.

To review your full Rewards eGift Card balance go to Walmart.com

Print out the email they send you with the bar code on it, take it with you on your next shopping trip to Walmart, and hand it to the cashier and you'll save the amount on your eGift card, or you can use it on Walmart.com.

Here's an example. I have $9.32 in reward dollars. That's just from six shopping trips! So next time I go to Walmart, I take my email I get with the bar code on it, hand it to the cashier, and I'll save $9.32

Here's the results of my last six receipts. I remember not too long ago I was able to buy groceries for our family of 4 for $100 a week - not the case now. Groceries have gone way up, and Savings Catcher is one way to help you save a little money.

Recipe To Try - Homemade Refrigerator Pickles

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Sat, 14 Jun 2014 18:34:00 +0000

Have y'all seen my garden? I'm pretty proud of it.

My 8-year-old is hiding back there

Our garden just took off this year. The cucumbers and tomatoes have just taken over everything. It took a long time before we got veggies, but they're coming in slowly but surely.

I swear I feel like Indiana Jone scouting out pathways to grab the veggies. I feel like I need a machete or something - but if I used a machete, I'd cut down all the beautiful young baby veggies that aren't ripe yet.

Since I wasn't a schooled gardener, I thought that I'd be able to actually pickle and can tons and tons of cucumbers all at once, and I'd have jar after jar after jar of delicious pickles that would last us all year - I thought the same thing with the tomatoes. That just isn't the case with this small of a garden - at least it's not happening that way for me.

But I digress...since we're only getting a couple of cukes at a time, we came up with this yummy recipe for refrigerator pickles. It really is delicious and it's super easy. My girls could eat a whole jar of these in one sitting.

You can even have your little ones help you load the jars up. What a great learning and fulfilling experience it is to have your kids help you in the kitchen. You could feel like Mama Of The Year letting them help you. It's so awesome having your kids help you...until they start fighting about who gets to put what in the jar. No, it's my turn to put them in the jar. No, it's my turn. That's MY pickle. That pickle is ME. I GET TO PUT IT IN THE JAR! IT'S MY TURNNNNNNNNN!

That's when you scream at the top of your lungs THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HAPPY LEARNING, BONDING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL OF US!! LOVE AND PEACE AND ALL THAT CRAP! NOW IT'S COMPLETELY RUINED BY Y'ALL FIGHTING. And then you just quit for a few minutes and grab you a big ol' glass of Moscato and then all is right with the world.

What?

You know that happens in your kitchen too, right?

I'm not, like, a lone wolf in this situation, right? Right? I'm right, right? Please tell me I'm right!!

But I digress again...here's the fabulous pickle recipe. The pickles really are awesome, no matter how much drama you have to put up with while making them!

Homemade Refrigerator Pickles

2 cucumbers - sliced
2 garlic cloves - sliced
1 very, very, very small onion - sliced (I use ones picked from my garden which are about the size of a big gumball)
1 tablespoon of kosher salt - plus a little more
ground pepper - however many shakes you want
fresh dill
vinegar
quart mason jar

Slice everything up. Put a sprig or two of dill in the bottom of jar. Then add couple of slices of onion and couple of slices of garlic. Add a couple handfuls of cucumbers. Keep going like that until the jar is full - dill, onion, garlic, cukes until you use everything up.

Next fill the jar about 1/4 to 1/3 full of vinegar. I put the salt in next and the pepper. I use about a tablespoon of salt plus a few more shakes. I also put quite a bit of ground pepper in. Then fill the jar the rest of the way up with water.

Put lid on. Give it a good shake, shake, shake - let your kids shake, shake, shake the jar - then put the jar in the refrigerator.

24 hours later, you'll have delicious pickles and your kids will be fighting over who gets the last dang pickle. And you'll be saying to yourself, Summer, I love you, but I'm kind of over you right now!

What? I know they're cute! They're also a tad ornery. And they could quite possibly be one of the reasons why mama drinks a little...okay a lot a little... or a little a lot - either way works.

NRH20 Happenings

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 06 Jun 2014 14:59:00 +0000

Have y'all made it out to NRH20 yet? If you haven't, you're missing out. They've got lots of fun things to do and quite a few special events planned this summer.

(Want to buy tickets? Click on that link over there to the right with that adorable little boy in his shark towel and buy you some!)

Check out my post I wrote a while back for tips on taking a trip to NRH20. That post is full of all sorts of information that is still applicable today.

Here's some of the special events NRH20 has planned this summer:

Superhero Day - June 10 - Celebrate Superhero Day here at NRH2O. Wear your superhero swimwear or your favorite superhero t-shirts. NRH2O team members will be handing out superhero stickers so make sure to pick one out (limited quantity)! Be sure to smile big and look for your photos on Instagram and Twitter using the #nrh2oSuperhero.

Father's Day - June 15 - Celebrate Father's Day at NRH2O! All dads get in free on Father's Day when accompanied by a child. Stop by the Ticket Booth to pick up your ticket on June 15th.

Texas Rangers Day - June 26 - Visit NRH2O on June 26th from noon to 2 p.m. to hang out with Captain and the Six Shooters. We’ll also have a special guest at noon who’s coming to NRH2O to meet you and sign autographs! Don't forget to wear your Rangers t-shirts and use #nrh2oRangers for your pictures!
Six Shooters: 12-2 p.m.
Special Guest (to be announced): 12-1 p.m.
Captain: 1-2 p.m.

Dallas Zoo Visit - July 8 - 1:30 - On July 8th the Dallas Zoo will bring animal adventures to the waterpark! Join us for this interactive program featuring animals from around the world!

Texas Rangers Day - July 22 - 6:00-8:00 - Visit NRH2O on July 22nd from 6 to 8 p.m. to hang out with Captain and the Six Shooters. Don't forget to wear your Rangers t-shirts and use #nrh2oRangers for your pictures!

Grandparents Day - September 7 - Celebrate Grandmas and Grandpas at NRH2O! All grandparents get in free on Grandparents' Day when accompanied by a grandchild. Stop by the Ticket Booth to pick up your ticket on September 7th.

Fireworks - Saturday Nights: June 21, July 19, August 16, at dusk
Fireworks are NRH2O's brightest attraction! Float with friends and family and watch fireworks light up the sky! Fireworks will be displayed at dusk on the following Saturdays: June 21, July 19, and August 16. *Fireworks will not be displayed on July 4th.

They also have Dive-In Movies every Friday starting June 20 where they show a family-friendly movie on a movie screen suspended over the wave pool. How awesome is that?!

And on certain dates, they offer Season Pass Holder exclusives where pass holders can get the water park all to themselves for a couple of hours. You can check out their website for more details.

Check out my calendar for all the things going on at NRH20.

See y'all in the wave pool!!
