A Catholic prayer for spiritual warfare. I have been praying this every night since High School and it has always helped me feel safe & that the Lord is protecting me even in the darkest times.

St. Micheal the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou o prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

5 Finger Prayer | My Favorite Way to Pray!

The Church is very clear on both of these topics, both giving the theological foundations for her teaching but also guidance to those struggling with same-sex attraction AND how we as the Church should treat those in this community.

This is a great prayer to say before receiving the Eucharist at Mass. It's a beautiful acknowledge of the gift we are about to receive.

O Jesus, as I approach Your altar to receive You in the Holy Eucharist, let me desire nothing but Divine Union with You. Stand guard over my heart. Defend me against all distractions and attacks against my faith. Help me in my imperfect love to return love to You. Amen.

Taylor had previously only read Narnia & Screwtape Letters and really enjoyed those books but hadn't gone any further with Lewis' impressive list of books.
