Se non ricordo male � il pezzo detto anche Preludio e di cui esiste anche una versione per chitarra e clavicembalo; certamente pubblicata anche se al momento non ricordo da chi...in questa versione la parte di chitarra � praticamente uguale a quella solistica. Credo che si tratti della "solita" finta attribuzione a Weiss, poi dichiarata con il vero nome dell'autore; al pezzo solistico credo che Ponce abbia aggiunto in seguito una parte di clavicembalo.

Ciao a tutti, ho rivisto con grande piacere questo film e mi piacerebbe sapere da quale opera � tratto il secondo dei due pezzi di Manuel Ponce: il primo � "Ballet", che conosco e anche suono (maluccio...per la verit�!) mentre il secondo, che non oso nemmeno pensare di affrontare, � "Allegretto". Si pu� trovare lo spartito cartaceo del pezzo? Grazie a tutti.

Le edizioni Orph�e pubblicano Les Adieux � l'Espagne - Quatri�me Fantaisie op. 11 di Fran�ois de Fossa

Until the beginning of the 1980s, the figure of Fran�ois de Fossa was mainly known by his relationship with Dionisio Aguado, a relationship that included de Fossa�s collaboration in producing the two Parisian editions of the Aguado Escuela, and the complete translation of one of them into French. The situation changed radically in 1981 with the publication by Editions Orph�e of a monograph which not only revealed very interesting and decisive factors in regard to the guitar quintets of Luigi Boccherini, but also included an important biographical study and a checklist of the known composition of Fran�ois de Fossa. Several works by de Fossa were published in later years, among which were works for two guitars, trios, quartets, an anthology of selected works for guitar solo. While the part of the work of de Fossa that was known, and with the location of available source established, was being popularized and becoming the object of modern editions, sound recordings and concert performances, the missing and unknown parts of this �uvre was clearly conspicuous in its absence. A new and recent discovery of previously unknown works by de Fossa which reduces the size of the unknown part of his work, permits us to have access to a small part of his works, specifically his Op. 6, 10, 11 and 15, that have been preserved. The library of the �Jacinto Guerrero� conservatory of Toledo (Spain) contains a collection of nineteenth century printed editions of guitar music, by the most representative composers of the time. Several pieces in that collection, particularly works by Sor and de Fossa, include hand-written dedications by the composers to Dionisio Aguado. This detail permit us to conjecture that the collection comes from the personal library of Dionisio Aguado which, after a series of trials and tribulations, has survived until our days. The present edition is the first modern presentation of this newly discovered work. The other works by de Fossa in the collection will be published in due course.

Fran�ois de Fossa was born in Perpignan on August 31st 1775 and died in Paris on June 3rd 1849. He was one of the most influential composers for the guitar, an influence which was reflected in his close personal relationships with many well known guitarists of the early 19th century, and in particular, with Dionisio Aguado. It is thanks to de Fossa that the guitar quintets of Luigi Boccherini, perhaps the basis of the repertoire for chamber music with guitar, were preserved and are available to us today.
